Application Guide and Rules[style style="margin: 20px;"]While most of the application can probably be done by editing it in the Visual Tab, some of it you need to actually take a look at the BBCODE side of things...such as when it comes to adding an image to the application. So a lot of you will quote the application, take one look at it and die inside due to it being a massive clutter of style codes. I understand and wish to negate your death with this handy instruction post, as well as help you gain the wonderful title of "ACCEPTED" and give you quick explanations onto what's what and where you have to put it.[/style][/style][style style="font-size: 9px; text-align: justify; margin: 0px 40px 40px 40px;"]
Part 01. Basic Information Rules[style style="margin: 20px;"]
"CHARACTERS FULL NAME HERE"Simple, straight-forward stuff. Plug in your characters full name here, meaning their first, last, and middle name if they have it. Don't just put in nicknames or have them up like "Margret "Mary" Johnson". Nicknames can be placed in the history. Please write out their middle name as well; no "Margret B. Johnson".
"CHARACTER IMAGE"The image width and height must be 126px in width and 220px in height, no more and no less! Actually it can be more but it will get cut off. Photoshop, GIMP, SAI, and other photo editing programs are what I suggest first given you can choose the height and width to the pixel but I understand not everyone has these programs. If you are one of those people you have two options:
(1) Ask a friend who has one of the programs.
(2) Use a site called PIXLR, or specifically their editor portion of the site (
pixlr.com/editor/ ). It's simple to use with some common sense and very little experimenting.
For imagery of your characters Face-Claim you can use many different resource sites such as Zerochan, Safebooru, Tumblr, etc. Images used should be PG-13 with no NSFWness about it.
Crtl+F this url:
i.imgur.com/3Qr2Axd.png This is what you'll replace with your characters image. This is the image that has Henry and Terriermon, you are to replace it with your characters image.
"TAMER OF TEAM OBLIVION/INFINITY"Remember to keep the beginning portion "TAMER OF TEAM" intact and only change the "OBLIVION/INFINITY" part. This is the team your character joined upon entering the Crosswire Server. You may not be independent. It's one or the other. Choosing either or does not make you "bad" or "good", it's just the team they choice upon entering the Digital World and the team they represent.
"AGE IN LETTERS" &
"FEMALE OR MALE"This means you need to type out their age. No "18" or anything like that. Gotta be "Eighteen" and that's it. As for gender just remove the one your character isn't..along with the "or".
"HEIGHT & WEIGHT"The information should be written like "5'0 & 100lbs". Please use feet and inches for height measurements as well as pounds for their weight. If you unfamiliar with this measurement system Google can help you.
"SEXUALITY"Use the full term for their sexuality, meaning don't just state they're "straight" or "gay" as well as don't type "homo", "bi", or "hetero". Instead use the terms "heterosexual, homosexual, bisexual, demisexual, etc."
"ETHNICITY"I realize the box is rather small to list every ethnicity your character may be, thus you only need to put in ONE of your characters ethnicity's if they have multiple. The one you put up should be their strongest meaning the one with the highest percent running through their blood. Other ethnicity's can be placed within their history.
"BIRTHPLACE"This isn't exactly where they were born, though it can be. Their "birthplace" is the location they lived their life prior to entering the Digital World. Locations outside of the United States can be written with their countries name ( ie. Japan, China, Australia ) and those within the U.S. may instead use the states name ( ie. California, New York, Washington ).
"USERNAME"When entering CrossWire Server your character had to enter in a username of their own. Though most used their first or last name some decided a more original route. This is where you may place what your character had as their username during log-in. Their username will very rarely be used unless they wish to have people address them by it rather then their actual name, sort of like a nickname. This section does not pertain to the username used to create your account on this forum.
"CHOSEN PACK"The three Digimon you choose to begin with are known as a 'pack'. You're given the option to give a custom name to your pack in this section. The custom name must be one word and end with the word "pack" ( ie. Beautiful Pack, Forever Pack, Alpha Pack ).
"FACE CLAIM NAME FROM SERIES"Replace the "FACE CLAIM NAME" with the full name of the character you're using as an FC. Keep the "FROM" and replace the "SERIES" with the series name the character is from. Make sure to spell your FC's name correctly as well as write out the full name of the series. First name and Last name format for the characters name even if it's Japanese. If the face claim name and the anime name turns out to be too long for this section then you may just use just one name for the face claim rather than both the first and last as long as the name is distinguishable from other characters in that anime. Also if the anime has known abbreviations feel free to use that as well.
"OUT OF CHARACTER NAME"This should be the name you go by in the cbox/shoutbox and on the site OOCly.[/style][/style][style style="font-size: 9px; text-align: justify; margin: 0px 40px 40px 40px;"]
Part 02. Personality[style style="margin: 20px;"]We do not require nor want paragraphs in regards to your characters personality as well as explanations on the traits themselves. We do require a minimum of 10 positive and negative traits. You may put more if you want but they must be equal in amount, meaning you can't have 10 positive traits and 15 negative. Do not delete the "●"'s in the coding.

Part 03. Digimon[style style="margin: 20px;"]
"CHOSEN PACK DIGIMON STATISTICS"Replace only the word "CHOSEN" with the title you gave your pack in the beginning ( ie. Beautiful Pack Digimon Statistics, Forever Pack Digimon Statistics, Alpha Pack Digimon Statistics ).
"NICKNAME"Choose what you want your Digimon to be called.
"SPECIES", "ATTRIBUTE", "TYPE"This information can be found on the DMA page of the digimon you chose. Species" is just what Digimon they are, such as "Agumon". Attribute would be "Vaccine" in this case and Type would be Dragon.
"LCD DIGIMON SPRITE"Off the bat, yes. You need to use the LCD sprites for your Digimon in this Application. Why? Because of consistency. Remember that niffy CTRL+F trick you guys should be using if unfamiliar with sorting through codes? Great, we'll we're going to use it again. This time it's to find where to put your Digimon's image url. Now this can be a little tricky if you don't follow along but in the end it's fairly simple.
All of the Rookie Digimon's LCDS can be found here:
Crosswire Imgur:
imgur.com/a/TL8nQ#0Though you can also find them on DMA and other sites we require you to use our Imgur as its hosting site. Hovering over the images in the album you can find your Digimon. Once found click the image then the gear image located at the top-right of the screen. Choose the option "View Full Resolution" which will open the LCD sprite in a new tab. There you copy the url of the new tab and proceed to plugging it into the code ( instructions below )
[style style="margin: 10px;"]
Step 01: Copy and Paste this within the search tab given to you when using CTRL+F: FIRST-DIGIMON-LCD-URL-HERE
Step 02: Copy and Paste your Digimon's LCD url into the () of the code, thus replacing the text "FIRST-DIGIMON-LCD-URL-HERE"
Correct Result: background-image: url(
directurlhere)
To find the second and third Digimon within the application replace the "FIRST" with "SECOND" or "THIRD".[/style]
"POSITIVE TRAITS" & "NEGATIVE TRAITS"This is similar to your characters personality though the minimum is 5 traits in each category. They still must be equal, meaning you may not have 10 Positive traits and 5 Negative traits. Do not delete the "●"'s in the coding.
"DIGIMON TECHNIQUE"A Digimon's Technique are the moves they are able to use within battle and daily life. This information can be found on the DMA and Wikimon of your Digimon. If your Digimon has very few techniques listed on resource sites then you can make up your own! Of course you must stay logical - Agumon wouldn't be shooting ice from its mouth, nor would a Betamon do an aerial trick. Here is where you just list the name of the move, nothing else.
"TECHNIQUE NAME"Just like the instructions above this is what you'll replace with one of your Digimons Technique names. Below that you'll give a small description of what that move does/ how it is used. You don't need to go into extreme detail about the technique, just cover the basics.[/style][/style][style style="font-size: 9px; text-align: justify; margin: 0px 40px 40px 40px;"]
Part 04. History[style style="margin: 20px;"]
"HISTORY OF YOUR CHARACTERS NAME"Replace "YOUR CHARACTERS NAME" with, you guessed it, your characters first and last name.
Your history doesn't need to be long though the minimum length we'll accept is two well-sized paragraphs. This doesn't mean shove four six word sentences together for a paragraph, we want to see actual well-formed sentences. Though we have a length requirement we will ask for more if things within your history are unclear or not described/ mentioned or if we feel it's too short.[/style][/style]
[style style="font-size: 9px; text-align: justify; margin: 0px 40px 40px 40px;"]
Part 05. Home Server[style style="margin: 20px;"]
"CHARACTERS NAME HOME SERVER"Replace "CHARACTERS NAME" with, you guessed it, your characters first and last name just like you did with the History section.
« 0000 »Here you'll replace the 0000 with the four digit number of your characters D-Terminal. Make sure the number isn't already taken by looking over the
D-Terminal Directory.
Your description for how your Home Server looks doesn't need to be long or overly detailed, though try to have at least a solid paragraph of content. This will go in the board description of your Home Server so we actually don't want it to be more than a paragraph.[/style][/style][style style="font-size: 9px; text-align: justify; margin: 0px 40px 40px 40px;"]
Part 06. FINISHED!!![style style="margin: 20px;"]When you are all finished with your application make sure you post in this
Notification Thread. Staff will not look at an application until you have posted in that thread stating it is finished, otherwise we will believe it is still a work in progress![/style][/style]
