notes: the fight is over and ryan feels bad about using the card so he offers kate the chance to choose where they go to catch up[/style][style style="text-transform:uppercase; font-size:20px;color:#ffffff;text-shadow: 2px 2px 2px #000000;position:absolute;margin-top:-270px;margin-left:170px;width:220px;text-align:center;font-family:'lucida handwriting';"]a familiar face[/style][style style="width:390px;height:196px; padding: 5px; overflow: auto; position: absolute; font-size: 9px; text-align: justify;color:#D1DEE4;margin-top:-245px;margin-left:172px;"]Ryan's eyes widened but then suddenly narrowed as the BlackGabuumon threw up some kind of shield. It was no matter, he was sure it would not be able to stand up to the combined power from the Tomahawk and the sharp blades of wind created by Pride's technique. In fact the Kotemon barely flinched as the large blade of the axe slammed into the shield. He help still in firm and was completely focused as he continued on to bring the weapon down upon his opponent. Grunting with force as the shield cracked under the sheer amount of pressure and power, Pride let out a gasp another grunt of relief as his blow shattered the defenses and made a direct hit with the BlackGabumon. The ferocity of the wind was blowing his loose fitting kendo outfit every which way, while the blades of the wind slashed up his opponent rather well as packets of data were sent flying until finally the entire Rookie's body degenerated as he was forced to de-digivolve back into in-training from the damage sustained from Pride's attack.
The Kotemon landed heavily on his feet while still holding the large axe. With the opponent now in in-training form however, it was clear this fight was over and thus the large Tomahawk degenerated now as the packets of data leaked off of it until it shrank down and turned back into his wooden, kendo sword. Pride was a little surprised by the other tamer's outburst though, however he stood is ground as he straightened out and silently placed his sword back at his waist before slowly turning around to walk away just as Kate had come to scoop up the Tsunemon in her arms. He went back to rejoin Ryan and the other two Digimon.
Ryan had a slight frown as his face as he too was caught off guard by Kate's reaction to him using a Digi-Modify card. Envy the Lopmon was actually chuckling and then Wrath the Koromon was growling with annoyance. Pride just took a spot next to Ryan and turned around to face the others without saying a word, he still seemed calm cool and collective...not doubt very proud of himself for ending the fight with a clear and fast victory. He was secretly patting himself on the back for a job well done.
"Sorry Kate but uh...I thought Digi-Modify cards were allowed. They aren't cheating, they are just a tool a tamer can use to help fight alongside their Digimon..." Without the Digi-Modify cards all a tamer was really there for was moral support...and a Digivice that could potentially allow them to unlock their potential. The Digi-Modify cards allowed the tamer to actually step up and do a little more work in a fight. He could lend them a helping hand which could turn the tide of a battle or settle it very carefully, the cards could also help to cover a Digimon's weak point in certain areas. Though the opposing trainer could use them likewise. Perhaps Ryan should have asked first, but he had not really though about it. Though he suppose it was a bit overkill for the situation.
Hesitating at first, he cleared his throat and ran his finger through his hair before slowly approaching her. "Hey, how about you pick where the two of us go to catch up?" It was the least he could do was offer her the location in which the two of them would go. They had wanted to go somewhere to catch up after the match after all, and the two of them had sort of made a wager that whoever won the match would pick the location...however he had not been all that serious about the terms and he could really care less about where they went. Ryan was fine with Kate picking the location this way they could go to wherever she would prefer...plus he felt kind of bad for using the Digi-Modify card now since she was not all too happy with the results.[/style]
