She was reaching her limits; she could see it as well as everyone, including her Tamer and pack standing on the sidelines. Kate eyed her Digimon, her attention not leaving the two fighting as thoughts of how long this battle would last with the shape her partner was in. Surely it wouldn't be long and the victor wouldn't be Summer unless whatever she was planning with having her arm out as bait worked. Her arms were crossed as she stood in silence, watching the reptilian creature keep its charge forward despite seeing Summer raise out her arm for it to bite. Swiftly taking an intake of breath as she watched the BlackAgumon bite down on her Digimons arm the instincts to go to its side to help it with the pain it must have been feeling kicked in. She wouldn't interfere, not like that, but the urge to do so clawed away at her mind. - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - Although she had planned for the Digimon to bite down on her arm she hadn't expected him to take the bait so easily. The sight of it was amusing deep down though the pain of the burning fangs sinking into her flesh buried the amusement. This was truly a last-ditch effort on her part; the pain was increasing over the short period of time, mostly due to the burns inflicted all over, and her body was giving into itself despite her mental protests. Bracing for the initial bite before it happened the pain radiating from that area wasn't as bad as she presumed, though painful non the less. The blasts she had aimed at the BlackAgumon's head and her small plan to hit it at close range seemed to fall to pieces before her eyes, anger appearing over her irises as ears twitched up at the booming voice of the male Tamer. He had gotten its attention to her move rather then taking the bait blindly like it had been doing; the intrusion of the commanding voice had destroyed her plan in a mere amount of seconds. The balls of fire shot at aim of the Digimons cranium hadn't hit it's target, instead it splattered apart in an explosion of red and blue from the BlackAgumon's own fire blasts. If the Tamer had kept his mouth shut the creature would have been down, or at least as damaged as she was with where her attacks were aimed. The moment the BlackAgumon had jumped back from her baited appendage and shot a counter she didn't have a moment to react or dodge the explosion and energy that followed, even if her body was able to do so. Embers of both colored flames and smoke from the strong fires putting each other out pushed against her body, the shock wave of the impact pushing her backwards in an uncoordinated tumble. Her claws scrapped the floor she was flung against in futile attempts to stop the unwanted push, her ears ringing from the explosion caused feet away prior to tumbling back so far from where she once stood. She was unable to stand when she finally got herself to stop falling back, her body and energy barely keeping her eyes open and locked on the BlackAgumon a ways from her. Her vision was blurry, though his deep coloration made him stand out in the obscure imagery. She couldn't attack or if she did it wouldn't be as strong and simple have her fall to her previous evolution. A deep growl came from her barely parted jaw, her body still though with slight twitched of her muscles as she tried to push herself at least on two legs. - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - “ Summer, stop.” Kate's voice was loud enough for her Digimon to hear as well as Ryan and his BlackAgumon. The battle was done, even if Summer still wanted to continue due to her stubborn nature; she had taken too much damage – that was obvious – and if she continued even just a little bit she'd just revert to a Tsunomon. Walking into the arena, her hand stopping her two other partners from following her in, Kate smiled at Ryan as she continued towards her Gabumon X. “ I think the battle's done and that you won this round.” she said, her tone softer as she made it closer. Crouching down to her injured Digimon Kate merely smiled, helping the creature up the best she could before turning with it and walking to her designated area of the arena. “ That was a good match though!” Once there Kate let her Gabumon X relax in the back behind her and the rest of the pack, getting only a small growl of annoyance of how the battle turned from the stubborn Digimon, before turning to view the battle field once again. digimon. gabumon x, psychemon, blackgabumon word count. 0884 words. summery. Summer (Gabumon X) gets knocked back, skidding against the floor due to the impact of the two moves hitting each other. Unable to attack any more unless risk of degenerating; Kate stops the battle before her Digimon can try, taking it to where she was standing with the rest of her Digimon. notes. ----

That had been way too close, the BlackAgumon had been a cocky fool. He was way too hot headed for his own good, had the odds been tipped and the battle was not on equal ground then there was no way that Wrath would have been able to stand his ground. He was too rash, he just charged in head first without ever thinking. While Ryan knew the BlackAgumon had great instincts when it came to fighting, it still lacked experience. Had he not called out and alerted his Digimon there was no doubt that he would have been in trouble and this match might have tipped in scale. However, it would seem that Wrath would keep his lead with his quick reflexes and reaction for as the smoke cleared it seemed like Summer the Gabumon X was all but finished. She had received a considerable amount of damage and seemed to be in searing pain from all the burns. Amazing enough though, she seemed to still be willing to push herself to her limits and beyond in order to keep fighting. She was as determined and stubborn as Wrath it would seem. Wrath growled and was ready to continue fighting, in fact he was ready to rip his opponent in pieces after the incident following the explosion. However, it would seem that Kate would be the one to intervene and stop Summer from continuing. Despite her words and presence on the battle field, Wrath still seemed like he would attack. "Alright then, that's enough. Round one is over." Ryan said as he looked at the BlackAgumon whom seemed to settle down after hearing the words of his tamer. Slowly Wrath made his way back and settled down behind Ryan and the other Digimon in order to rest. Even though there was a sense of pride about him for winning, it seemed he was also disappointed that the fight had not been continued until the Gabumon X had been degenerated through force. Ryan looked from Wrath to Kate and her Gabumon X. It would seem that she cared about her Digimon enough to stop it from getting hurt any further. Ryan did not know if he would even be able to stop a fight like that, even if Wrath was on the losing side and Ryan told him to stop he doubt he would actually listen. "Yea that was a good match. You should probably use your Digivice to de-digivolve her to in-training for a while so she can rest and fully recover. She should no longer have those burns as well. Once she is healed she should be able to easily turn back into her rookie level." He gave her a small smirk as he offered her the advice that way her Digimon could recover and would not continue to be in pain. He did the same for his own Digimon as he pulled out his Digivice and de-digivolved Wrath before he could protest back into Koromon. This way he could also settle down. Wrath, now as Koromon after a flash of light, just grunted angrily before he sank down on the ground and was calm. "Now then...I suppose it is time for round 2." Looking from Envy to Pride, he wondered who to send out next. It was Envy whom chose for him as she stepped up and in front of Pride the Kotemon. The Lopmon now danced and twirled with her ears as she made her way onto the burnt arena. She was humming a little tune as her eyes beamed brightly and she seemed as playful as ever.[/style]

Watching the BlackAgumon go to its respective corner where Ryan and the rest of his Digimon were standing Kate had to admire how strong it was, though it's stubborn or rather reckless behavior had shown to even her throughout its match. It was a trait Summer had, scolded for by Valar and teased about by Nymeria, but despite the teams comments the little quirk stayed true. Kate couldn't say Summers recklessness was as bad as the BlackAgumon she had fought – she knew if the tables were turned and it was the dark reptile holding out its arm for bait she wouldn't have gone for such an obvious trap without some form of plan or defense. Even so and despite that the BlackAgumon had come out on top – though she couldn't help but think Ryan's burst to warn his Digimon had helped greatly in that regard. Either way the fight had been a good one though Summer had taken serious damage. Her eyes went to Ryan as he spoke words of advice to her in regards to Degenerating Summer so she could heal properly and be back to full ( or better ) health faster. The idea of doing so hadn't dawned on her in that moment until Ryan had triggered the memory. Another Tamer she had fought before had done the same thing with her Salamon before leaving due to its injuries being bad. Turning around slowly Kate stared at her Gabumon X, its body slumped on the ground as it panted and blinked its eyes in exhaustion. “ Summer, I know you don't like it but it'll help.” Taking a quick step forward Kate brought her Digivice out, the scarred beast in front of her growling in protest to the idea of being degenerated. With a small pet over its eyes Kate ignored Summers growl, activating the process and watching the creature turn into the small horned Digimon Tsunomon, The creature glared up at the girl, getting a small roll of the eyes as a response. It was better this way, she'd heal faster and relax better in her In-Training form then her battered up self prior. Once again her attention turned to Ryan, a smile on her face as his figure registered in her sights. She noticed he had done the same thing to his BlackAgumon, the cute small form of a Koromon coming to view behind the other two partners of his pack. Nodding to his small statement about round two starting her eyes watched the brown rabbit like creature dance its way to the arena in what Kate could only assume to be cheeky-joy and or excitement. The little critter was absolutely adorable and it took Kate effort to control the need to say what she thought of the Digimon. Glancing away from Ryan's Digimon Kate looked over at Valar and Nymeria, the two Digimon staring at one another. “ I'll take this on-” - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - Valars voice was cut off as both the BlackGabumon and Kate watched the Psychemon leap from the arena she was standing, coming to a swift halt in front of her team with eyes staring at the Lopmon. “ I'll take it!” she said, her voice beaming with excitement as she stood still to watch the Digimon she'd be fighting against. “ I think it's fair that you get the first move this round.” - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - A short hiss of irritation came from Valar, the reaction to being cut off and ignored by his fellow teammates causing both Kate and Summer to laugh a bit in his expense. Patting the BlackGabumon on the head Kate smiled, “ Don't worry. If things go well you'll be able to fight, and if not I'll make it up to you.” digimon. gabumon x, psychemon, blackgabumon word count. 0624 words. summery. Kate takes Ryan's words of advice, degenerating Summer ( Gabumon X ) to her in-training form, Tsunomon. Letting her Digimon choose who goes next Valar ( Black Gabumon ) begins to say he'd fight only to be cut off by Nymeria ( Psychemon ) jumping into the arena, giving her opponent the chance to have the first move. notes. second round and second page, yayyy

Ryan closed his eyes as he took in a deep breath and sighed softly. It was a bit stressful to have to deal with a Digimon that was so stubborn, but Wrath finally seemed to accept it as he was reverted back to in-training now and was resting quietly in the background as Koromon. Opening his eyes slowly, he looked at Kate and Summer whom had been degerneated back into a Tsunemon from Gabumon X. He smirked as she took his advice and realized that she herself could probably relate to having to deal with a stubborn Digimon. In their rookie forms and below they could be a lot like children, he hoped Wrath and Envy would grow out of their childish ways once they reached champion. Pride was the only one he did not have to worry about so much. The Kotemon was very calm and level headed for the most part, he did not have the most colorful characteristics but his introverted personality made it easy for Ryan to get along with him. Now it was Envy's turn up for round 2. The Lopmon could no longer sit still, she needed entertainment like always and Ryan just knew she would end up treating even this fight like it was some sort of game or contest. The only good thing about that was that Envy was competitive and tried to win the contests and games that she created, even if the rules were made up and only made relative sense to her. She was a ball of energy who could barely take anything seriously. It would be interesting to say the least, mostly because Ryan was curious to see how the Psychemon would handle it, as well as what abilities it had since he was somewhat unfamiliar with that rookie. In fact all he really knew was that it was an off color version of the Gabumon family. It seemed rather eager to fight as well, it even cut in front of the BlackGabumon which seemed like it was actually up next. It was no matter though. Envy twirled in the center of the arena as she chuckled slightly. "Well, aren't you just so well mannered?" She as playfully as she was offered the first move for this round. "Alright then. I will choose the game and decide the rules!" She exclaimed as she pointed at the Psychemon and winked. Suddenly Envy took off in a full on sprint toward Nymeria. She started to gather wind behind her ears, using it to propel herself forward until finally she gained up enough momentum to create a high speed dash as she used Whirlwind Sprint. "Let's play freeze tag!" Envy shouted as she lunged at the Psychemon, her feet kicking off the ground as she used the momentum to jump and completely leave the ground. Now her body was parallel to the flat surface of the arena as she twisted around rapidly while facing straight ahead. Envy opened her mouth, inhaled sharply and then she shouted "Ice Bullet!" As her body rocketed toward Nymeria she fired off a flurry of small, condensed bullets of ice that shout out of her mouth with great speed and accuracy. In a way 'freeze tag' had sort of been a pun on the game since Envy actually had a couple of techniques based on the element of ice.[/style]

Keeping her expression as polite and calm as she could muster Nymeria's eyes danced with amusement as she watched the Lopmon she would be fighting against. It surely was a bundle of energy or at least was more excited then she was to fight this round. Of course she herself was going to enjoy the battle, much like how she enjoyed every other fight, but she had never gotten to such levels where she basically hopped, skipped, and nearly danced to her opponent. She found that rather silly, childish even, but those were comments and observations she'd keep to herself. There was no need to anger the rabbit in what she assumed to be an insult to what she was doing, at least not when the match hadn't even started yet.
Lowering her head in a small, modest bow of some sorts to the Lopmon as she spoke to her Nymeria couldn't help but compare the Digimon to a mere baby or in-training her mind. Despite it being on the same level as herself the behavior it displayed to her was that equal to those of lesser level, suffering from immaturity and high amusement for simple things. That wasn't such a bad thing, some Digimon – and people as her Tamer had told her – thought such childish traits were admirable. She wasn't one of those creatures to think such things on the matter; deep down she found it annoying, making her assume in the back of her mind that her opponent would not take this fight seriously, but on the outside she kept a polite expression. Being so open like her opponent wasn't the right path, the very opposite really or at least in her eyes.
Raising her head straight to watch the Lopmon propel itself forward as it called out the name of the “game” they were to play Nymeria merely hunched down. Projecting a multicolored shield around her body the Psychemon deflected the hail of ice bullets shot out from the Lopmon before they could hit, a small grin forming on her lips before disappearing just as fast as it came. She was happy to have been able to deflect the move like she had, though the speed of which they came and the Lopmon itself was something she made note to remember. “Freeze Tag? I shall do my best to play this game.” she began, letting the protective shield of colors fade as her claws dug into the ground. Pushing off the Psychemon launched itself towards the Lopmon in a jump, its horn pointed towards it with the corruption data of one of her moves manifested at its point. digimon. gabumon x, psychemon, blackgabumon word count. 0445 words. summery. Nymeria ( Psychemon ) mentally compared the Lopmon to a child, watching it move as she does before blocking the Ice Bullets with Psych! She raised an eyebrow and let out a small questionable grunt as she was awed by the sight of the rainbow colored shield which was projected by her opponent. The shield was strong enough to deflect the small compact bullets of ice which just glanced off like arrows striking metal. It was quite the trick, and a very handy one at that. It would seem that a direct approach would be rather pointless with such a defensive technique. However, it was this kind of thing that made the game fun. It would have been boring if her opponent did not have any tricks up her sleeve or lost right away. It was freeze tag after all, meaning if you got tagged you lost. Plus getting hit by that horn would probably cause many other problems as well, one it would hurt and two...well who knew what effects the strange technique had. It would seem wise not to under estimate this opponent. That shield was a good tool in this game, it was hard to tag someone that was protected. Now though it would seem like Envy was in trouble due to the momentum of her body flying directly at the Psychemon which had lowered her shield and readied the tip of her horn for the oncoming assault. At this rate Lopmon would most likely slam right into the horn which seemed to be covered in some kind of energy, obviously another attack being prepared by the opponent. Envy had to think fast within the moment that she had. In a split second of seeing the horn lowered she reacted and suddenly opened her ears to activate a drag effect on her body. Her ears had a lot of surface area and were floppy enough to act almost like parachutes for her. As the wind caught, she halted her forward trajectory and glided into the sky in order to avoid getting hit by the horn, or rather to avoid being tagged in the 'game'. She giggled softly and looked down at Nymeria with a grin, almost as if to challenge her opponent to tag her when she was up in the air. Twisting her body and whipping her ears around like a helicopter, Envy only climbed higher and faster as she gained a large amount of wind around her. The wind condensed as it mixed with her energy as she prepared her next attack. The guest picked up and thickened, forming a visible funnel around her. Suddenly she halted her rotations as she forced her ears to stop twirling all at once. This caused her to release the whirlwind from her body and now the small twister of high speed and condensed wind raced downward toward the Psychemon. Inhaling deeply with a sharp, cool breath, Envy exhaled and released a chilling breeze. The icy wind mixed with the small tornado, creating small ice shards that spun around rapidly in the funnel as she combined her Whirlwind Twister technique with her Blazing Ice technique.[/style]

Just as she had expected her defensive move had taken care of all the pesky ice bullets the Lopmon had shot at her, the fact of this happening was of no surprise or shock. Defensive moves specific to keeping her safe were meant to do just as it did. With the jolt forward and lunge towards the creature her eyes stayed as much on it as possible as her body was pushed to it in an attempt to impale it with her horn, or at the very least scratch it deep enough to release the energy she built up into it. If that were to happen the little rabbit would be inflicted with what she referred to as a “bad trip” of sorts. With the vague details she gave on its effects the outcome of getting hit with the move was always the same: her prey would get slower and disoriented, burning themselves out faster with little effort from her.
Her eyes sparkled with delight as she watched the rabbit go forward; with the speed it was going it'd surly ram right into her horn. To her disbelief her eyes caught the sight of the Digimons large ears spreading open, lifting it up and slowing itself in order to avoid her lunge and attack. A small growl emanate from her throat as she passed where the Lopmon should have hit her, her body jolting and skidding to a halt on the smooth scorched surface of the arena before standing on two legs. She had thought her idea would work but perhaps she thought things out too simple, her opponent would surely keep up this game for as long as possible and despite it's childish aura had some sense to her. This factor was something she was grateful for in truth.
The data manifested in her horn dispersed and left as she raised her head up to see the Lopmon floating some ways above the arena to look down at her with a laugh. Yes, she thought it was a game or she was mocking her – either or was a possibility. Blinking and giving the opponent a small grin back her eyes watched and scanned the Digimons movements as it began – what she assumed – to be another attack. Watching it twist it's body around, air turning with the movements of its body as it spun Nymeria slowly backed away to get a better look. Her mind ran through possibilities on both what this attack would be like and what she could do to defend herself from harm or manipulate the attack in her favor. For one she had to get the Lopmon closer to the ground rather then keep it in the air; the little critter could only glide for so long but during that time any attacks it used would be more troublesome.
As the move was released, a breezy of cold air from the Lopmon being added into the spinning vortex Nymeria jumped back to give a little more space from the attack for the few seconds it'd last. She could try to defend herself from the attack though she knew it wouldn't hold fully due to just using it. It would break at the brunt of the attack, leaving her with the same amount of damage or more. Bracing herself for the initial impact and her body from the blows she'd deliver she let the fury of wind and ice topple over her body, wiping her fur around in its movements. Straining to keep her footing steady and eyes open Nymeria raised her claws up and slashed at the tornado around her. Water splashed out in stripes from the three claws on each of her hands, the liquid hardening from the cold and keeping its large shape as it spun around with the air.
The weight of each cuts of water caused it to leave the Tornado, shooting each one around the arena like a bullet before they crashed. Two shot in the general direction of the Lopmon while the other four shot around the arena before slamming into the walls and ground, sticking into the ground as slanted spikes while others shattered into small ice shards upon contact. This was the most she could do with the attack sent towards her, and with the blinding wind covering her vision she wasn't sure if it'd be effective at all. Clenching her teeth she receded to all fours, her claws digging into the ground as the tornado began to loose its force. Her body was freezing, flakes of snow and frost covered her fur and body while small cuts from the ice shards pulsated pain. She'd be fine with the damage done to her but even so she wouldn't want to take another one of those attacks again. digimon. gabumon x, psychemon, blackgabumon word count. 0803 words. summery. Nymeria's Psychadelic Crisis attack misses the Lopmon. Watching the move from her opponent form she tries to think up a plan before it's launched, having no time to think of anything that would successfully shield her from the damage she takes the hit. Within the tornado of wind and ice Nymeria uses RGB, selecting the color blue and activating the Water element in her claws. She slashes twice into the wind, the water stripes from each of her claws freezing in the frost before being shot out of the tornado like bullets. Four miss completely, landing around the battle field and sticking into the ground and walls or shattering while two fly towards the Lopmon. notes. see. i do love you cause i posted, so shhhh.

Envy seemed to at least know what she was doing and could handle herself in a battle, perhaps it was the competitive side to her coming out. Still, she had gone on the offensive and when her opponent countered Envy had managed to maneuver away from the attack while still in mid air and she changed the course of her trajectory, cutting off her momentum with her ears and using them to propel further into the sky. It was quite the slick maneuver really, the male tamer of Oblivion was actually quite surprised. Then again the little bunny-like Digimon seemed to always surprise him one way or another, she was coordinated but in an odd way. It was always hard to read her movements and it was almost impossible to predict how she would react to a situation or how she would handle it. To both Ryan and Envy's delight, the combination move of the whirlwind twister and blazing ice had been successful. The Psychemon did not have enough time to really get out of the way or counter after being thrown off by Envy's sudden change in path which took her skyward. Envy had a huge smirk on her face, just like she had won it all as she slowly glided down with the wind caught up in her brown and pink ears. However, while fighting off the gust of sharp and icy wind, the Psychemon fired out a wild shot of ice shards. The smirk on Envy's face plummeted as she scowled in disbelief. Ryan was on his toes, but resisted shouting out for Envy to watch out even though she did not seem to be reacting to the enemies attack, even as two shards of ice flew toward her. At the last possible moment, Envy twisted around rapidly as wind gathered around her ears which whipped around and smacked the shards of ice away as she countered them with her Whirlwind Slap technique. Ryan sighed softly and smirked at his Digimon's quick reflexes, it would seem that she actually had this under control after all. Now she was in the perfect position to attack Psychemon again as she just barely had time to recover from the last attack. However, instead of instantly attacking, Envy descended and looked at Nymeria with a glare before scoffing and turning around quickly with her ears whipping around behind her as she stormed away and toward from the battle field and back toward Ryan and his other Digimon. Ryan just stood there, unsure of what had just happened, he looked at Envy with pure confusion and a questionable look on his face with his eyebrow raised. Envy caught his expression and scoffed once again before she turned around and pointed dramatically at the Psychemon. "You cheater! I don't want to play with you anymore if that's how you treat the rules to a fair and square game! We were playing freeze tag and I got a direct hit on you, then what did you do? Did you freeze? Oh no, you kept on moving and you even had the nerve to attack back! Well fine! I'm done with you if that's how you want to play it!" Envy nodded as if she just successfully told off the Pscyhemon and then she turned back around and continued walking until she was well behind Ryan and the other Digimon. Crossing her arms, she steamed in a corner and huffed with frustration after just rage quitting the fight. Ryan's entire facial expression drooped as his eyes narrowed and his mouth frowned in disappointment and embarrassment. Sighing heavily, he lifted his hand to cover his face for a moment before running it through his long, thick, brown hair. Lowering his hand, he looked up at both the Psychemon and Kate with an apologetic expression. "Well I guess that concludes round two...shall we just move on to the next match then?" He asked softly, wondering what they must think of Envy in this situation. It was embarrassing, but a part of him was not that surprised at all.[/style] total word count: 8088

Watching from the sidelines as Nymeria took the brunt of the tornado-like attack the Lopmon delivered Kate bounced on her heels as she held her breath. As competitive and battle loving as she was she didn't like seeing her Digimon get hurt. Her hands clenched together near her chest as her eyes stayed glued to where the Psychemon had been, the area now engulfed in the frosty winds. Her breath was stuck in her throat as she stayed silent, watching with her two Digimon. She could call out to her but that would do nothing. It would just be something that would distract her pack member from bracing its body or thought process. Instead she help back the need to vocalize her concern, biting at her bottom lip in nervousness and worry.
As she watched the ice shards that flung out of the spinning wind caused the girl to jump as they shattered and stabbed into the ground. She guessed it was Nymeria doing such a thing or else she would have caught sight of these larger spikes prior to the attack hitting her Digimon. It seemed the steak of messing up an arena was still going strong with her team. Scorch marks, scratches and not shattered ice and holes where some still stood; she was lucky all of this was digital or the bill for repairs would leave her homeless until death. Watching the two icicles fly towards the Lopmon still hovering in the air Kate couldn't help but hope her Digimon would land a hit. She knew it would hurt the little thing but still... her competitive nature wanted to deal some damage.
A small frown of disappointment spread on her lips as she watched the Lopmon dodge the shards but slowly getting replaced with a look of confusion. Watching it hover to the ground before huffing and venturing back to Ryan Kate merely blinked as her expression became that of pure confusion. What on earth was it doing? It was in the middle of a battle. Nymeria seemed to reflect the same confusion shown all around. She brushed herself off the best she could before looking towards the brown rabbit strutting back to the male Tamer, its expression rather foul. Has she done something wrong?
As the creature explained in an outburst of anger? why it was upset and why it returned back Kate and her Digimon merely stood in stunned silence to its reasoning. It was... something. Something she'd never assumed to ever happen but something non the less. Nymeria kept still on the field, unsure what to do for the moment before slowly walking back to Kate who still stared at Ryan with a perplex look. She couldn't really think of anything to say to the boy or his Lopmon, not even her Digimon could say something to her as it returned back to her side with a annoyed look on her face. It was win but surely not one to be proud of. Smiling with a look of apology on his Digimons actions Kate shrugged slightly before nodding to Ryan’s words about round two ending. “Yeah, that sounds like a good idea.” she began, glancing at Nymeria who seemed to be in a bad mood from how her match had gone to Valar who was snickering from what had just happened. Rolling her eyes she nudged the creature forward softly before watching it walk into the arena. “Let's hope this one lasts longer, yes.” digimon. gabumon x, psychemon, blackgabumon word count. 0582 words. summery. Kate watches in worry as her Digimon takes the hit before being flooded with confusion by the Lopmons rage quit from round two. Returning to her Tamers side Nymeria is replaced by Valar for round three. notes. mmm not a good post

While Envy seemed to not even care or notice, Ryan was very embarrassed by the way she had acted. He was somewhat glad that it was with Kate though, had it been someone else he would not know how to handle it. Because he knew Kate, it was a little bit easier to just move along as she seemed to be in the same state of confusion as him and just accepted it. Still, he wished she had not witnessed that. Certainly he would have to talk to Envy later on to get her to work on both her behavior and levels of maturity. She just threw away a match after all because she was pouting over some stupid rules to a game she randomly tossed in the midst of a battle. The situation was unfavorable, but he had to move past that and focus on the next round. Pride the Kotemon would prove much more promising after all, he was always calm and quiet so there would not be any foolish antics or shenanigans with him. Nodding at Kate and looking from the Pscyhemon to the BlackGabumon, Ryan was ready to put Envy's little episode behind them. Pride the Kotemon had already stepped up and walked out onto the battle field while Wrath, who was still in his Koromon form, glared angrily at Envy for the turn of events in her battle. No doubt the little Koromon was not pleased with her storming off, especially after getting in a successful hit and establishing a lead in the fight even if it was a small advantage. Stepping up to the line and facing his opponent, his eyes trailed over the large amount of rubble between them as the arena had gotten torn with rather good from the previous fights...or rather from the fight between Wrath and Summer due to the multiple fiery explosions. Taking hold of the hilt of his kendo sword which was at his waist, Pride slowly withdrew it and then held the broad, round sword up in front of him in a ready position. Closing his eyes as he held up his kendo sword in front of him, Pride focused by inhaling and exhaling deeply. He needed to concentrate on the battle and put all other thoughts out of his head, such as Envy whom was ridiculous at times. Opening his eyes suddenly, he stared down the BlackGabumon sharply with an intense gaze. "Alright, here I come." He announced with a soft and calm tone. It was not threatening nor was it really a warning, he was simply stating it so that the BlackGabumon could be aware and prepare herself for the battle. His body glowed with a blue aura that outlined silhouette while he focused his energy all around him and drew in the moisture from the air. There was a pulsating vibration in the air around him as he used his Mist Clone technique. Now Pride charged in full speed, his body suddenly splitting into two, one of them being the clone he just created using his technique. The clone itself was made out of mist, meaning it did not have a stable form, at least not one that could physically fight. It was really just meant to be a distraction and throw a curve ball at the opponent. As soon as it was hit by anything it would simply just disperse back into a cloud of mist that would sprinkle little droplets of water upon whatever it touched or just end up on the ground. With the real Kotemon on the right, the clone on the left was the one that closed in to swing its kendo sword at the BlackGabumon. Pride himself dashed off to the BlackGabuumon's right side to get alongside the opponent for an attack and hopefully blindside her. The mist clone went in, slashing horizontally at the BlackGabumon's mid section, whether the attack connected or she countered it did not matter, the clone would just burst into mist without dealing any damage. The actual Pride closed in from the right now, swinging downward with his kendo sword to strike the BlackGabumon. His hopes were that she would be thrown off by whom to dodge, block or counter with the two of them attacking at once. It was meant to confuse and throw off the opponent after all, even if the clone could not actually deal damage, there was no way she would know that right off the bat. There was no way for her to tell whom the clone was and whom was real either, at least not one hundred percent. Though it would be obvious through physical contact, one could also assume that Pride sent in the clone first while he kept his distance and moved around the side for an attack. The element of surprise was his though, at least for now.[/style]

He was finding this very amusing, so much so that he made notes on teasing his fellow pack mate about what had happened in her “battle”. To have an opponent call her a cheater before storming off was something he hadn't ever witnessed nor did he think others had seen such an event. Surely Summer and himself hadn't, their large smirks and dancing humor in their eyes were tell tales of it. Oh how he couldn't wait to tease Nymeria for jumping the gun as she did, taking his supposed place against that Lopmon only to be brought back to the “winners” circle after a childish rage quit and mere half a minute fight. This joke surely wouldn't die for some time or at the very he wouldn't all such things nor would Summer he believed. They'd live in that light for as long as they could stretch it until they found no amusement of it.
The opponent that stepped up to the plate was far more entertaining even if his quiet demeanor read heavy on its straight stance and lack of outward personality. Clearly he wasn't going to be the type to just run off and quit the battle because of made up rules being broken. A small snicker left his lips as he walked up, stopping and watching his opponent once it reached the scarred field and faced him. He tried to analyze his foe the best he could but no matter what he did things would be unpredictable, especially given he hadn't fought a Digimon like him. This was going to be a challenge but an enjoyable one. He was grateful for his pack sister to have blocked his efforts to going into battle with the rabbit, surely if he had he'd miss a good fight.
Watching the creature ready it's sword Valar merely flared his black claws, tilting his head to the side in a stretch before bring it straightforward again. His opponent seemed rather serious, an assumption merely fueled by the Digimons statement of the battle commencing. It was almost as funny as the Lopmon incident or at least for the brief moment it was. Catching the vibrating pulse shift the air around him Valar dug the claws on his feet into the scorched ground he stood on, readying himself for whatever the thing might throw at him. Keeping still as he watched the Kotemon charge his eyes blinked, going between the two copies of the Digimon that went for him. In the heat of the moment he couldn't tell which one, each of them evening out as a possibility to being the real one. Deciding in a second he chose to deal with the one charging for him, ignoring the other with his sight and main focus.
Opening his jaw the fire he formed in his throat built up in seconds into bunched up balls before being shot together towards the Kotemon heading straight for him before it could hit his midsection. The fire balls he shot went through the water made clone, the droplets of the thing splashing to the ground and on his fur while his move hit the ground a ways from him in a small explosion. He growled in frustration for choosing the wrong one to go after though his situation wasn't so bad. He couldn't see his opponent, that little trick it pulled gave him enough time to make sure he was hidden somewhere he couldn't view right away, but he could hear him. His ears perking up from being folded on his head, the sound of the Kendo sword cutting into the air catching his attention as he half stepped and turned around enough to see.
Grabbing the dull sword with its hands to stop it before hitting Valar pulled the object back towards him, attempting to bring the Kotemon to him by pulling his weapon. Positioning his head down, eyes focused up and straight to keep watch on his opponent, he lunged his head forward horn first at the Digimon in an attempt to stab it into him. digimon. gabumon x, psychemon, blackgabumon word count. 0683 words. summery. Valar readies himself as the battle begins, making note to tease Nymeria about her "battle" prior. Watching the Kotemon clone itself Valar focuses on the clone coming straight towards him, launching a single Napalm Shot at the clone. The clone becomes a puddle, the water splashing on him as slight irritation sets in for choosing the wrong clone. Hearing the Kendo Sword cut through the air with his hearing Valar turns around enough to block the attack by catching the sword before it could hit, taking hold of it and pulling it towards him as he lunges his head/ horn at the Kotemon in an attempt to stab it. notes. still love you cause i posted~

The BlackGabumon had focused directly at the Kotemon in front of him, which was the clone, just like Pride had wanted. This allowed him to get around the side of his opponent and flank him from the right, attempting to blindside him as he attacked the clone with fire balls. Of course the clone just dispersed right away and the fire balls went whizzing through droplets of water and went on to crash into the ground. The clone did not have a solid physically form to cause the fire balls to stop or explode, in fact it did nothing to even slow them down as the mist just sprayed over the ground and onto the BlackGabumon's fur. However even if the diversion did work, it was not a complete success. The BlackGabumon had acted faster than Pride had anticipated, thus destroying the clone and figuring out the ruse almost instantly. Still it presented him with a small opening as he came in and attacked from the side, but it was too late. His opponent had turned and was on him as his broad kendo sword met the black claws that caught it. The BlackGabumon held on firm to the sword it just caught, since the blade was not actually sharp it made it rather easily to block its blow. It was a blunt weapon after all, meant more for knocking opponents around with powerful whacks. Next came the BlackGabumon's move as it pulled the sword, thus pulling Pride in closer as well and aimed its horn directly for the Kotemon's chest. Now he could have evaded by simply letting go of his kendo sword, but Pride would rather not. It was his after all, his weapon and key to a couple of his techniques and fighting style. So instead he went with it, choosing to defend rather than evade. Using his Rock Armor technique, he focused his energy into his chest and created a rock hard barrier over him. The horn slammed into the plate of rock, cracking it and making it crumble as the loose bits fell to the ground, but the armor held steady so that the horn did not actually penetrate Pride. "Now, give me back my sword." He said in a rather demanding tone he focused his energy into his kendo blade and sharp blades of wind started to engulf and swirl around it as well as the BlackGabumon's claw that was holding it firmly. He was hoping the sharp wind would sting his hand and perhaps create some cuts that would cause him to let go. For good measure though, Pride was not going to stop there. He would also take his chance to attack from a point blank range. His kendo mask now glowed white hot as he suddenly fired off a stream of flames from his mouth from behind the mask, aiming to roast the BlackGabumon at point blank by coating him with the intense flames.[/style]

This seemed to be the problem with blunt weapons, or rather weapons period. They could be grabbed, broken and possibly used against you if against an opponent with the ability to do such things. He hadn't broken it but he surely used it against the Kotemon who wielded the wooden sword against him. It was the perfect way to bring his opponent up close for an attack, even one so simple as to jab it with it's sharp horn. Damage was damage and an opening was an opening, it didn't matter how he used it or what he did so long as he did it properly and with logic. In the back of his mind he knew close combat like this had it's own risks and problems involved with it. As much as he had an opening to attack so did his opponent.
A grin was kept on his jagged jaw as he pulled the Digimon towards his jousted horn; his eyes were kept on the humanoid creature the best he could at the angle he kept his head at, though as he watched the defensive wall form on its chest the grin he kept lowered to nothing. His attack had landed though with the dense rock around the area he had aimed for it did no damage to the Digimon and the impact sent a shock through his head. Hitting rock, though unable to break his horn, caused the force to be sent back through his body. Growling as his senses came back to him Valar payed little to no attention on the sword still held in his clutches.
That was until the stingy pain of what felt like razors cutting at his flesh did the Digimon glance at the weapon. It seemed this was how the Kotemon would take back its possession; surely he wouldn't hold onto it with the sharp wind cutting at his hands, if he did the injury’s would just build up and leave him open for something else. “Very well.” Valar said, her tone seemingly mocking his demanding tone in the few words he spoke, the end of the short statement billowing a growl from deep in his throat. Pulling his hands away, letting go of the Kendo Sword as he did Valar watched the Kotemon prepare another attack. This had been what he was thinking about moments prior, as many openings as he had his opponent had just about the same.
Digging his claws into the ground the BlackGabumon leapt to the side before the strike could hit, coming to a barrel roll as he landed to the ground to add a bit more distance to him and his opponent. As it skidded to a halt, his claws digging into the ground to slow his slide, the pain from the various cuts stung in agony from being scrapped against the ground as small pixels floated from the palms of his hands before dissipating completely. As he stood upright Valar opened his jaws, flames building in his throat in small bundles before shooting towards the Kotemon. The small balls of flames grouped together, a few scattering around the main form as it flew towards the opponent. digimon. gabumon x, psychemon, blackgabumon word count. 0533 words. summery. Valars attempt to stab at the Kotemon using it's horn was deflected, a growl being his only response before feeling the sting of the razor like wind cutting at his hands that held onto its Kendo Sword. Letting go to avoid further damage Valar darted to the side, jumping out of the way from the blast of fire the Digimon aimed for it before barrel rolling to give it some extra distance. Halting to a stop Valar attacks using Napalm Shot, a cluster of small explosive fireballs forming into a normal sized ball of fire flying towards the Digimon. notes. ily

With the words of confirmation, or rather his announcement of submitting to letting go of the broad, wooden sword. With his opponent no longer grasping his weapon, the Kotemon withdrew it quickly and brought it back down at his side just as the BlackGabumon jumped back and away to dodge the beam of flames at the last second that Pride fired out from behind its mask. By releasing the sword he had managed to escape the attack in time, the Kotemon was actually a bit surprised by its reflex and reaction time, nonetheless he had successfully gotten full control of his sword left. Jumping back to gain some space between him and his opponent after attacking with his Fire Mask technique, Pride took a ready position as he held up his kendo blade in front of him. His eyes gleamed and narrowed as he watched the BlackGabumon quickly skid to a halt and recover. His head drew back as flames formed in his throat and then he fired several fire balls directly at Kotemon. Pride was quick to react to the barrage of fire balls. He rapidly gathered his energy around his body, drawing in the moisture in the air as he created yet another clone. Kicking off the ground with his powerful legs, he jumped high into the air as the clone stood in his place to act as a small diversion as it took the blast from the fire and burst into mist. Pride lunged toward BlackGabumon from above, descending down upon him with his kendo blade out and ready to strike downward. That's when Ryan stepped in as the tamer and took out his black D-Power Digivice while he also slid out a card from the holder on his belt. "Digi-Modify." He stated with a strong tone, his eyes intently locked upon his Kotemon while he slid the card through the scanner on the side of his Digivice. "Boltmon's Tomahawk activate!" Pride's kendo sword glowed brightly with packets of data whirling around it, transforming it into a very large tomahawk that was actually larger than the Kotemon whom was now wielding it. Boltmon was a mega level Digimon, thus with Pride wielding his weapon it would greatly enhance his abilities for a short amount of time. However, since Pride was only a Kotemon which was a Rookie Level Digimon, his capabilities of what he could handle were still limited. By Ryan's calculations, however, this attack would be exponentially stronger than a normal rookie's attack. Now with all of his might, Pride wielded the large Tomahawk with his kendo gauntlets and started to coat it with his energy as he utilized his Wind Blade technique with the large battle axe. The thick blade was engulfed with sharp, swirling wind as Pride shouted "Wind Tomahawk!" and brought it down toward the BlackGabumon. From the blade of the Tomahawk, a large crescent and sharp wave of wind was unleashed that was aimed vertically at the BlackGabumon. All around the larger blade of wind there was a fierce storm of wind that engulfed it, creating many smaller bits of sharp crescent wind blades as the intense and powerful attack threatened to overcome Pride's opponent. This would hopefully deal a large amount of damage and end the match quickly and effectively.[/style]

To her it seemed Valar was doing alright in this match. Though he had let go of the Kotemon's sword he had been able to dodge the Digimon's fire attack that had been targeted for him at close range. She had held her breath during that fast second but as the black furred creature skidded and tumbled safely away from the humanoid Digimon she quickly exhaled in relief. Watching her Digimon fight was a roller coaster of emotions and urges; normally she tried to keep them in check unless she truly felt they were in danger but since she was with a good friend she let herself be at ease in term of expressing herself. She never really had a problem with that but with all the strangers running about the game she tried to keep herself in check. First impressions were supposed to be good after all.
She hoped she'd get a win and she knew Valar would beam with pride if he came out the victor. Competitive as anyone else her need to win wasn't as strong as her Digimon, though it was up there. She wasn't a sore looser or anything close to the silly rabbit that had caused such a scene when fighting Nymeria but the idea of showing herself at least once at this moment to Ryan would be something nice to have under her belt. A small quirk of a smile spread on her already happy expression at the scene playing out in her head. If Valar won surely Nymeria and Summer would have a hissy fit back at home, or rather argue in a non “hissy” sort of way and just makes things awkward and tension filled for her. Summer had put up a good fight though the fact that she had lost and had to degenerate to a Tsunomon left her angry as is, as for Nymeria she hadn't really gotten to fight at all.
As Kate stood with her other Digimon she watched Valars attack fly from his mouth and towards the Kotemon who had took some distance of his own. Like before it had made a clone to take the damage despite it disappearing and the bursts of flames hitting the ground behind it. Biting her bottom lip for a moment her breath caught in her throat again as Ryan's Digimon leapt into the air, wielding the Kendo Sword to attack Valar. She didn't need to voice out to defend, the way Valar stood and acted she knew he was ready. The beast flicked his tail as his head turned upwards to see its opponent coming down on him, his body was still until his ears flew up at the sound of Ryan’s voice. The BlackGabumon hissed in frustration at the voiced command, the symbols on his stomach glowing before projecting a protective shell around his body as the Kendo sword the Kotemon wielded changed to that of a Tomahawk.
“H-Hey! Hey!” Kate shouted, her foot stepping forward as the Tomahawk hit the barrier held up by the BlackGabumon, a sound similar to glass shattering erupting from the Digimon as the weapon and its added wind element broke through the protective shield. A whimper of pain came from the beast as the strike hit, the blades of wind cutting through his skin and pelt before the changed weapon did the rest of the damage. Skidding back slightly, his body ramming into the hard ground as he did the figure of the Gabumon sub-species erupted into pixels; the larger shape of the beast dissipating to reveal a black colored Tsunomon laying on the ground. “That's not fair! Stop it!”
Running into the arena again Kate glared at Ryan as she got closer, stopping when she got to her degenerated Digimon and swooping the In-Training in her arms. The injuries it had obtained during the quick battle were gone due to it's reverting though that didn't mean Valar was anymore pleased with what had happened. As the little creature opened its mouth to speak Kate rammed her hand over its mouth, cutting it off before it could say anything. “What the hell was that! You can't just use a card like that!” Kate said, her voice showing her annoyance for the boys actions. She felt like that Lopmon who had called Nymeria a cheater but this time wasn't just because made up rules had been broken. “I thought we were going to do this fairly.” digimon. gabumon x, psychemon, blackgabumon word count. 0748 words. summery. Valar tries to block the Wind Tomahawk using Emergency Call, the shield shatters and is hit with the attack head on. Damaged to the point where his body degenerates to his in-training form, Tsunomon. Kate gets angry at Ryan, running into the arena and picking up Valar. notes. just buy a lot of ketchup :I thats all those kids want anyways.
