ICY_MOON
Nayru urged me not to go due to the dangers, Farore appeared indifferent, and Din cared fairly little on where I chose to go. The fact stood though that I had agreed to meet another tamer here and explore what this valley had to offer. Nayru told me of the landslides, unpredictable climate, suspension bridges, and a variety of other dangers but I did not care. It only urged me forward as I found the prospect exhilarating. Besides if I died I would respawn. In addition I doubted my digimon would allow me to be in peril so easily. Nayru was merely over exaggerating. That is how I thought of it.
I was not worried about my own digimon on the other hand. Nayru and Din being the type of pets they are were fairly agile in their own right. Farore perhaps but she did not appear concerned either and I am sure Nayru would assist Farore if I could not. Getting to the valley itself was a rather simple task however looking at it from the outside appeared rather daunting. I suppose I should merely stay situated at the base of the valley until the black hair crimson eye person appeared. The air was rather dry here and the breeze carried a chill that crept up my spine but that made it all the more amusing. My eyes traveled occasionally at the expanse of the horizon and I could hardly believe that this world was virtual. I have to remind myself that this was merely a fairly complex programming code that emulated these real world experiences. Breathtaking.
"Do you truly believe that this is wise?" Nayru is complaining again, pawing at my leg as I waited for the other tamers. Din and Farore sat quietly on top of a nearby fallen boulder, though Farore appeared more patient than Din who tapped occasionally on the stone boulder to make a panging noise. "I advise against this. Perhaps when we gain more experience." Even though Nayru is cute and was merely worried for my well being this was slightly annoying as nothing significant was going to happen. I suppose this is the downside to having talking pets. I must placate her somehow.
"It's not as if I am attempting to reach the highest level. A few levels up or so to look around and have the experience under our belts." Nayru did not appear pleased however she stopped pawing at my leg. To this I kneeled down to stroke my fingers behind her ears yet her expression still appeared unhappy. "Relax. Nothing will happen to us." Din said this as she moved off the boulder and Nayru shot him a gaze that I have not seen before.
"It is not us that I worry for." I picked up Nayru to keep her away from starting a fight with Din. It would not be a good show if the other tamer saw my digimon acting in such a way. Nayru did not say anything further to this effect and Farore once more interjected. "As long as we stay together we should be fine." I giggle at this statement. At least Farore understands.

Maybe six feet! ain't so far down! Of course he should of expected it to happen honestly when he told his Digimon that they were heading to Limit Valley, but Kosei didn't like having to deal with two-thirds of his team trying to control his actions. The teen didn't take well to other humans trying to control his actions so why would he take it well when his digimon decided to try and ruin his fun. Of course it wasn't like he blamed them for their valid points. Pyrus pointed out the rickety bridges that didn't seem all that safe and Ryu constantly referred to the landslides that were know to occur in their area. Of course each and every point they brought up was in fact valid but the validity of their arguments wasn't the problem there. The problem was the fact that he had promised to meet up with someone and he wasn't about to break his promise.
"At least Kai is on my side." The teen exhaled as he swung his arms around lazily. True to his word the only digimon of his that was just as thrilled to be exploring Limit Valley as him was his Coronamon named Kai. Maybe it was just because they were so similar minded in some regards but the petit feline digimon had no misgivings about the place."You heard it here folks. I'm the most awesome one." Kai teased the two other Digimon as he rest his paws behind his head. Sometimes Kosei had to wonder about their interactions and how in the world their personalities ended up the way they. Probably the biggest shock of them all was that when he received his digimon Pyrus proclaimed herself to be a princess. At first the teen was willing to ignore that seemingly innocent comment but he came to realize that she meant what she said.
"How dare you tease a princess so! Ryu, off with his head!" Pyrus exclaimed in response as if she truly meant what she though at times it was hard to tell. Of course the almost comical expression of rage she expressed made it clear that she was not joking in the slightest. The seventeen year old really couldn't deal with all of the nonsense that she threw at him at times but that was what he had Ryu for. His loyal Kotemon was probably the most sensible, if not the most reserved as well, digimon with him. Nothing seemed to faze Ryu as expected he didn't lift his Kendo stick to attack Kai.
"I'm afraid I can't do that, your grace." Ryu stated calmly without ever placing his hand on his kendo stick. Of course given the way that Ryu talked, Kosei wasn't sure whether or not the Kotemon actually believed that Pyrus was a Princess or not. Then again maybe it was better if he didn't know the answer to that question. More likely than not it was a side effect of Ryu's extreme formality but he was honestly content to leave that alone for it didn't really matter.
Glaring through the rays of digital sunshine, Kosei was impressed by how well the developers made this game. It was almost as if the Digital World was actually a real place with all the little things he noticed as he searched for a sign of silver hair anywhere. Perhaps the most noticeable thing for him was the textures of everything he touched in his path. Every pebble, rock, and boulder had a unique texture to it. Even the rickety bridges were designed so well that they could give him splinters if he tried to mess around. Kosei could of sworn he saw a lock of silver hair earlier but given the fact that his eyes were adjusting to the light the teen didn't really think much of it. Now that his eyes had finally adjusted though he realized that he was walking right up to a girl with silver hair waiting with her digimon. The seventeen year old wasn't entirely sure if he was even right in assuming that was Icy_Moon but it was worth the shot.
"Oi, you're Icy_Moon correct?" Kosei inquired curiously, "If so then I'm Kosei Rousseau and we were meeting up here to explore?" tags, Avalyn, Theo[?] words, 736 notes, Kosei goes to meet a person at Limit Valley in order to explore Limit Valley. |

notes Sorry for the late response back on the bbs. Should've checked back on it before I went to bed in order to clear some confusion.
| Was danger really the price to pay for ease of boredom? Probably. But, the creaking of the frail bridges sent Theo on edge, just a little. He'd never really been fond of high places, not that he was phobic of those kind of places. It was just... a tad off-putting.
Although, his Digimon did help kill of that edgy atmosphere. What with the way they took everything in stride. As Theo advanced further into the wilderness of the valley, he had expected at any moment for one of the three critters to freak out at the thought of landslides, but they didn't seem too concerned about it. Maybe it was simply due to the fact that they were created to be tough, or something, what with how nearly every Digimon fought on a daily basis. Or maybe it was simply that they didn't care, he didn't really know.
"Careful, Theo... You don't want to fall here," Atreyu warned him from his usual perch atop his head. "This place is a death-trap for those too irresponsible to care." Theo found it almost endearing how the lop-eared rabbit kept such a vigilant watch for him, even if he was just a bunch of digital data. Oswald and Vincent didn't really seem to care, too caught up in their own individual little bubbles.
The devil bat nattered on and on to his exotic-coloured companion, who seemed to be taking in next to nothing of it.
Theo found it almost amazing how everything within this world was so realistic. He could hear the slap of Vincent's webbed feet against the dusty floor, and the staccato flapping of Oswald's wings. There was even the subtle weight of Atreyu atop his head.
These weren't the only things though. Other things stuck out like barbed wire from a haystack; the warmth from the sun's rays, the feeling of the ground beneath his feet... It was all so fascinating and intriguing. How Theo would've loved to find out how they did it. However, he wasn't here for that, and he doubted he'd find out anything from wandering about here anyway. Nope, he was to meet a silver-haired girl and a guy with dark hair and red eyes, if his memory served correctly.
Things had been going pretty slowly for him this morning. With nothing to do adventuring sounded the best course of action, and he'd hovered about the BBS looking for anything of interest. He was glad he'd stumbled across something, otherwise he'd probably be sat under a tree or something just watching as his Digimon did nothing in turn. Well, Oswald would've probably found something to do, but, that was him. He always found something to do.
Losing his train of thought for a moment, Theo just continued treading across the valley, until he realized what he was supposed to be doing and looked around. "Wonder where they'd be," he murmured to himself. He glanced back to the plodding twosome and set his sights on Oswald. "You mind scouting ahead?"
"Sure!" the DemiDevimon chirruped. "Maybe, maybe there's treasure ahead!"
"Um, yeah, sure."
Oswald swooped past the group's heads and onward at a speed shocking even for him. "How does he even manage to do that?" Theo muttered, watching as the bat slowly became just a dot on the horizon. "Just a build up of pent-up energy, I imagine," Atreyu replied.
"I'm gonna' sit a bit while he's gone," Vincent said aloud, promptly parking his butt on the floor. The other two watched him, and Theo shrugged. "That's fine, I guess. He'll probably take a while anyway." "Don't be too sure..."
"I'm baaaack~" Oswald swept back into view, his fanged lips turned upwards in a broad smile. "I saw a lot of bridges, and bridges, and boulders, and, oh yeah! There were palm trees, too! They looked fun so I-"
"Oswald, did you see anyone as you were out there twirling about?"
"Hm? Oh, yup! I did! There were that-a-way!" He pointed with a foot. "Can I show ya, huh, huh?""Lead the way."
Vincent groaned quietly and got to his feet, the slightest hint of a frown on his face. He followed after the trio as they set off once more.
The valley was wide and, what with the bridges being so precarious, treacherous. However, it didn't take as long a time as Theo would've thought it would to finally find the pair. "Hey," he called. "Hope I'm not too late to join the party."
"Hiya, everyone!" Oswald exclaimed. "I bet this is going to be fun! Yup, yup." He paused a moment, as if in thought, and hovered closer to the ground, ending up beside Pyrus. "Ooh, I like your flamie, it's pretty!"
Atreyu sighed quietly and increased his grip on Theo's hair. Too many people and Digimon. He didn't feel good already.
Vincent immediately sat down and let out a huge yawn. |

ICY_MOON Nayru's large floppy ears twitched mildly as she looked up from my arms. Her voice lowered into a harsh whisper and I could not help but exhale as she did. "Someone is approaching." I looked up at this towards the direction Nayru was looking towards. This could be the person I was to meet. On the flip side it could be a wild Digimon wanting to kill me. One or the other. Din on the other hand gave a halfhearted glance then turned as if she could not care any less than she had. Lastly Farore looked up and made an effort to join me by my side. Somehow this did not surprise me. Farore was fairly sociable and in adventures such as this she may find it troublesome but is the most courageous out of all of us.
I could tell that the figures were approaching and that it looked rather human. Din who was off on her own looked momentarily then appeared disinterested. Perhaps even exasperated. "Something wrong?" I felt the need to question this since Din rarely looked annoyed rather than a neutral look. I did not even use her nickname. In return Din became more receptive and answered. "The digimon this person has might be more annoying than Nayru." My grip around Nayru tightened as it felt as if she was about to pounce from my arms on top of Din. Farore shook her head and Nayru finally managed to relax, giving me time to think this situation over. It was likely that both Din and Nayru being puppy type Digimon overheard the conversation that the other tamer and his digimon had but I guess I should not put much stock into what Din thinks. Din never thinks highly of many people and I already agreed to travel with these guys.
As the guy finally got close enough to be able to speak, I allowed my eyes to scan over his form. This was definitely the guy. Black hair, Crimson eyes, and there was obviously no other humans around in a place like this. Probably all scared off by the facts that Nayru tried to use to scare me off from actually exploring this place. He spoke first by calling out to me and asking if I was Icy Moon, a fact I chuckled at. "That is the screen name I use but call me Ava." I released Nayru from my grasp who landed perfectly on the ground below with ease. I watched Nayru walk to Farore side as they both looked ready to introduce themselves to the new digimon. Din as always was off doing her own thing. If I did not know better I would say she's sulking. Nevertheless I turned my attention back to the tamer and offered a smile on my features. "You must be Vitae. So right about the black hair and crimson eyes. Hard to miss. Nice to meet you though." I mean come on. It’s never not nice to meet cute guys.
I looked back down to my digimon and motioned towards them casually so I could introduce them quickly. I was more interested in moving forward and exploring but it did not hurt to be friendly and get to know the capabilities of the other teams right? Thus I motioned my hand downward towards where my digipets stood. "These little guys are Nayru and Farore. The Gazimon over there is Din." I felt Din's glare from afar and held myself back from laughing or reacting to it. From the corner of my eye I saw Nayru offer the normal bow of her head as an introduction. Farore merely waved on the other hand but at the least they were more approachable than Din.
"Greetings. It is a pleasure to meet your acquaintance." Nayru really does not change. Maybe the other digimon will react better to her formalities than I did. For the most part it truly had reminded me of the maids back at home. "Farore." Farore kept it simple which is good. She balanced Nayru and Din rather well honestly. "I would advise you not bother with the lout there." Nayru motioned over to Din who halfheartedly gave her attention. Din looked more concerned in what was ahead then cast her gaze upward as her expression shifted to a scowl of displeasure. Strange. As I turned my full attention back to the other tamer I had noticed another figure in the distance. I remember another tamer had responded to my BBS message named Nameless so it made sense that everyone would show up around the same time.
The tamer came into view as a blonde and another cutie male too. I will have to be vigilant with myself as to not screw up with two guys around. “Just in time. Any later and we might have started without.” I teased as I raised my right hand to shoot out a peace sign with my index and middle finger outstretched. I saw Din in my peripheral vision begin moving however and carelessly spoke as she wandered off forward. “I’m scouting ahead.” With that Din wandered off. I was quite surprised it had taken Din this long to attempt to branch away and scout ahead as she calls it. Miraculously Nayru did not appear to care as she was greeting the other new arriving digimon with her usual bow of the head. Farore was more relaxed but did the same.
"You both had no trouble getting here right? I’m starting to doubt how dangerous this is supposed to be." It was a harmless statement but I’m sure if Nayru was still in my arms she would nag my ear off. Then again now that I think on it maybe Din had the right idea. The gang was all here so I guess we could finish up introductions and move on. I took a step backward and with a smile plastered across my face I decided to start this journey. “Let’s say we get this party started? Which one of you wants to lead?” I mean I was not going to. I might have started this group but there was no way I was going to lead seeing as there are two guys here.

Maybe six feet! ain't so far down! "My flame? Why thank you. I work hard to maintain my perfect flame!" Kosei honestly hadn't expected such a response from his princess obsessed Candlemon when a seemingly random DemiDevimon flew up near her and complimented the the flame on her head. Perhaps it was because of how often since he first entered the game that he heard her refer to Kai as a "ruffian" constantly but whatever the reason the red eyed youth wasn't going to question it. Still he had to wonder how the game developers managed to program digimon with such varied emotions as if they were real. Come to think of it this whole world in which the game existed was bathed in a sense of surrealism. It almost felt like the Digital World was too real to even be a game. Of course he was probably just being silly. Most likely the game developers used some kind of special coding that the technology illiterate would never know about in their entire lives.
"Well yes I am Vitae but it's a bother going by my screen name," Kosei, running his hand through his soft black locks of hair, commented as if all the small talk was boring him which it was. "Just Kosei, kay?"
Truth be told, just as she commented on his hair and eyes being hard to miss, Kosei was thinking the same thing about her silver hair which was in fact rather striking. There was no way that he could possibly mistake this woman for someone else given her hair as a factor which was a detail that really stood out. Come to think of it she was actually a rather attractive woman with her hair just accenting said attractiveness. He wasn't sure that he could mistake someone who looks like her for someone else though there were also men and women in real life that he could say that about. On that particular subject Kosei saw fit to keep his mouth shut for while she was attractive he wasn't actively looking for a date.
"You're late! Pay a ten million bit fine!" Kai exclaimed suddenly at the arrival of the third member of their Limit Valley exploration. Blinking at the randomness of his digimon's rather dramatic statement, Kosei wasn't sure whether to tell Kai to cool it or just leave it alone altogether. "What!? You can't go and charge someone a fine, ruffian!" And there Pyrus was with her ruffian nonsense once again. At times Kosei didn't know whether to be exasperated because of all the nonsense his digimon put him through or to just ignore their nonsense altogether. While it was true that he was tempted to do just that in order to slip away to explore, Kosei didn't think he could actually do that to them.
"It's a pleasure to make your acquaintance as well, Miss Salamon. My name is Pyrus, the ruffian of a Coronamon's name is Kai, and the silent one is Ryu." Pyrus, stopping her attempts to burn Kai with her flames for the fine comment, responded to the Salamon's formal greeting elegantly as if she had just heard the Salamon talk. All the while Ryu stayed silent watching out for any dangers that might come their way. To be honest given the surrealness of the game itself and the extreme individuality of the Digimon themselves it was easy for Kosei to forget that he was in fact playing a game.
"Nope, no troubles getting here," Kosei commented when Ava made a remark about whether or not their little adventure was actually dangerous. I want to lead! Adventure awaits!"
Maybe he was getting just a little bit too excited at the prospect of leading their little ragtag group but he was getting too anxious for adventuring to even worry about that. At that moment in time the youth believed that there was nothing that could break his excitement for adventuring and exploring in general. Not even the sudden arrival of two gray colored digimon who looked like dragonflies in a way could break his cheerful and excited mood. Sure they were most likely wild digimon and could take away one of his life points if he wasn't careful but honestly the danger was what made it so exciting even if it was a strange view.
As he was taking his D-Arc out to view the data on the group's little guests, the teen notice a light surge from it as a translucent barrier surrounded him. Kosei heard of this feature but since this was essentially his first battle ever he didn't know the technical details of the Digi-Shield. All he really knew about it was that the Digi-Shield was a function of the D-Arc which ran off his Digimon's stamina and it was supposed to protect him as long as his Digimon remain on the battlefield. Though honestly the possible danger of this adventure was the appealing part of it, true for any adventures in his mind, but this essential function just took away from that excitement just a tiny bit. Ignoring that bit of annoyance for the moment, Kosei took his D-Arc out and activated the scanning function. Apparently these were SandYanmamon of the Champion level.
"X-Strike!" Ryu, speaking up for the second time in their adventure, called out as he withdrew his Kendo Stick without waiting for Kosei to actually read off the information he had read. Were his digimon supposed to act without waiting for their commands or were they just plain impatient? Kosei wasn't sure what the reason behind the way that Ryu responded to the SandYanmamon but he wasn't going to question it. Besides watching his Kotemon carefully use his Kendo Stick to create an X in the air where one line was made completely of fire and the other was made completely of electricity was a cool sight to witness. His blood was practically boiling with excitement as he watched the X of Fire and Electricity be fired off at the first SandYanmamon.
"Petit Prominence!" Kai, punching the air excitedly, called out in a miss of excitement and fighting spirit. While Kosei was sure that Kai's reaction was just because that the Coronamon in question was rather aggressive. Of course Kai was probably the Digimon closest to his own personality so a reaction like that was only to be expected. Whatever his opinions on his Digimon not waiting for his commands to attack were, Kosei didn't seemed to mind it much though. Much like his reaction watching Ryu attack, the teen's blood was practically boiling as he watched flames cover Kai's body before the Coronamon attempted to ram the second SandYanmamon. Pyrus on the other hand sat and waited for a good moment.

| "You're welcome!" Oswald replied, smiling at the Candlemon happily. He came to rest on the floor, folding his wings snugly against his sides. Surrounded by others, no matter if they were strangers or not, was something that Oswald felt comforted by. The bigger the crowd, he figured, the more people and Digimon there'd be to talk to. And the more interesting a day it would be!
"So cruel," Theo laughed. "I'd probably just end up camping here for days on end, feeling alone and unloved," he joked.
The sudden outburst from the Coronamon caught him by surprise and he glanced at it, amused. "Unfortunately, I don't have that kind of money on me," he responded, giving a small shrug. "If I did, I'd probably waste it all on those card things or something."
"Hiya! My name's Oswald!" Oswald chirruped happily to the Digimon, waving a wing at them all. "That bored looking Muchomon over there is Vincent and the Lopmon's name is Atreyu! Nice to meet everyone!"
"Naw, had no problems getting here. I'm not too bothered about leading, I'll just be a part of the bodyguard team or something." As the dark-haired guy nominated himself as leader, two unfamiliar gliding creatures came into view. So quietly had they approached that Theo did a double-take. "Whoa, that was quick," he murmured.
Vincent quickly got to his feet, his crested ears raised in alarm. Soundlessly, he threw open his wings, releasing a burst of flames from his beak in the same movement, with a shout of: "Ardent Flare!" His attack aimed in the direction of the second insectoid Digimon.
Atreyu went into action at immediately the same moment; his fur bristling as he leaped from Theo's head to the floor. He raced forward and jumped, catching the air with his ears, which instantly captured it like a parachute. "Petité Twister!" he yelled, twisting in the air like a spinning top, aiming at the second SandYanmamon's side.
Theo noticed out of the corner of his eye as the dark-haired teen pulled out his D-Arc, directing it at the strange Digimon. Wondering if he should do the same, he found his gaze pulled back to his Digimon. It seemed like they were allowed the freedom of thought to attack for themselves. Orders didn't seem to be a thing they needed, or, at least, it didn't seem to be. I'll keep an eye on them anyway, just in case, he thought, eyeing Atreyu as he span closer and closer to the foe.
Oswald, meanwhile, just sat and watched, his mouth dropping open in something akin to awe. "Ooh, this is cool! Mebbe I should join in, I don't know. Should I? Shouldn't I? Should I? Shouldn't I?" He had no idea. | Words: 486

ICY_MOON This is a playful group. So far I could establish that both were rather energetic though one was more joking and exaggerated than the other. I can tell that they would not bore me easily. As I offered the lead to the duo the Kosei tamer guy was quick to jump at the role. With that established I took a step back and focused my attention on my Digimon, both of which were conversing with the other Digimon in a polite manner. As we were to depart for adventure however Nayru opted to jump in front of me to halt my advance. "Incoming Foe!" Immediately I felt my muscles tense and my eyes widen ever so slightly at the warning. Nayru would not lie about such a thing and sure enough the sound of roaring buzzing rung through the valley. So much for the theory of no threats.
I noticed that the other two tamers took out their D-Arcs but I did not know why. It ruined the fun and the challenge of fighting in a virtual game like this. I did not want to take my Digimon's energy just to protect me, or at least I think that was how it worked. No matter. Within seconds the sight of two large grey colored dragonfly like creatures appeared with a rather agitated look. "SandYanmamon. They are Champion Level." Nayru warned as the other Digimon jumped into action. I bit my bottom lip lightly as I watched their movements began thinking of a way to fight this. Din was not here and she was usually the fighter of my team of three. Great time for Din to decide she wanted to scout ahead.
As long as the two guys are here though I suppose that it is fine. I could focus more on the defensive aspects of this fight. The other digimon were able to create an amusing array of attacks, mostly involving the use of fire, and I was slightly envious as I knew for a fact that my Digimon's attacks were not remotely as flashy per say. Effective I suppose but flashy not so much. Nayru had taken to following suit with the others and following the fire lion thing as it spontaneously combusted as it charged at the first dragonfly. That looked rather painful however the digimon itself appeared fine as it crashed into the abdomen and left a burn mark, Nayru following with Sledge Crash and slamming after the already weakened point. As all of the other Digimons' attacks hit their respective targets as well, the foes looked momentarily as if in pain then rather annoyed as if we banged up an expensive car or something but it was still operational.
Nayru ran back towards the area in front of me as Farore took a defensive position near me. The first dragonfly had its sights on me to which I cringed our eyes meeting. Without much pause it had inhales and from its mouth area shot a narrow white beam of light at me. Farore courageously took action as she jumped in the way with a twirl which caused a familiar series of colored blocks to form into a wall in front of us. On impact the wall had shattered yes however the beam itself also dispersed. "My thanks Farore." Farore did not respond, maybe because she did not hear me, but I was still grateful. I saw that Farore's horn was lighting up like a neon sign too however I was more concerned about the digimon before us. The second dragonfly thing behind the first lifted skyward with quickened wing beats causing the gravel and sand below us to flare up like a sandstorm. I felt the sands grate my skin and already became rather annoyed. I did not know how the other tamers were handling this but I for one did not want to deal with it. "Nayru, do something."
I could not tell what Nayru said to me because of the howling sandstorm that was created but all I heard next was the loud howl of her voice. As suddenly as it started, the sandstorm subsided to which I took as a sign that whatever Nayru did was successful and now was the chance to strike. I will leave that to the other tamers. "Hurry and attack while we have the chance." If they take too long the dragonflies are going to take off again and then we will have to worry about bringing them down again. I swear this is one of the rare times I actually wanted Din around. She should have returned by now.

Maybe six feet! ain't so far down! All in all Kosei hadn't expected every attack of the group's to actually hit their marks. Of course the black haired teen wasn't really one to doubt results because why should he when excitement was a much better sounding reaction. Not only was it one of the possible reactions that sounded the best but it was also his reaction at the moment. Kosei wasn't even sure whether or not he could calm down or even if he wanted to calm down. All he knew was that this battle seemed to of been favoring them even if the SandYanmamon didn't seem too phased by their attacks. Being a rather simple person when it came to reactions, the teen simply thought that they were just angry and that the Sandstorm, which was thankfully stopped by Ava's Salamon, was proof of that.
"Yeah! Here comes my follow up!" It seemed that Kai was just as excited as his tamer was while he punched the air rapidly for no real reason that Kosei could tell. Kosei honestly couldn't wait to see what else the feisty Coronamon pulled out of his hat partly because of the fact that he actually had no clue what his Digimon could do, which was one of the things he didn't check on when choosing his Digimon, and partly because he was excited. Without as much as a sound the Coronamon began to gather flames at his brow. "Corona Flame!" Kai exclaimed excitedly as he fired off a beam of fire from his brow at the second SandYanmamon. Kosei could barely hold back as he saw the beam of fire race towards the Champion level Digimon only for it to miss by a large margin instead.
"Whoops. My aim is off." If there wasn't anything more anti-climactic then what he had just witnessed then Kosei just wouldn't know what to think. Of course he should've expected that they weren't an all powerful team or a perfect one so misses were expected to happen but still it was a minor let down. "Quit fooling around, ruffian!" Kosei really hoped that they weren't going to start fighting with each other right. Come to think of it his Digimon really didn't have personalities which actually worked with each other in a team. Were the Game Devs trolls in designing the AIs for the Digimon or was there a reason for it?
"I'll show you how it's done! Karma Flamer!" The princess of a Candlemon seemed to roar as the flame on her candle seemed to grow larger and larger. At first Kosei had thought the flame was just the light playing a trick on his eyes but it soon became obvious that said flame was actually enveloping the Candlemon as it grew. Once Pyrus was completely enveloped by her own flame she charged at the first SandYanmamon in an attempt to ram it. Maybe it was just luck or maybe the SandYanmamon was just too focused on Kai to notice but her aim was too as she crashed into the SandYanmamon. Of course by the time Pyrus returned to his side the flames had dissipated but he was still rather excited all the same. The only thing Kosei couldn't tell was whether or not the small Digimon actually inflicted any damage.
Of course that really wasn't the biggest of their worries as the first SandYanmamon retaliated by charging at the Candlemon. Kosei's first instinct was to dive in front of Pyrus and take the hit himself but he didn't if only because Ryu was moving to intercept it himself already. Still the seventeen year old had no idea what either of them were about to do as the reptilian Digimon put himself between the "princess" and the SandYanmamon. Kosei started to have a clue of what was going on when Ryu pulled back a gauntleted hand crackling with electricity as the SandYanmamon came in with it's claws out. "Thunder Kote!" Kosei heard the usually quiet Kotemon shout before throwing his fist forward in a swift punch right as the SandYanmamon charged in with it's claws out. Both attacks met each other head on and both digimon were pushed backwards from the collision but Kotemon looked more worse for wear then the Champion level Digimon.
Kosei wasn't really sure what he was hoping to happen after that, though he hoped that the SandYanmamon were defeated even though that was not likely, but what it was wasn't the second SandYanmamon using Ryu's momentary daze from the collision to attack. Well if anything the game devs did honestly their wild encounters with realistic AIs at least but still it was a real downer for Kosei. Apparently assuming that the second one was going try to pull the same trick that the first one tried, Kai took a running start before jumping into the air. This time it was Kai's claws that lit on fire in the hot headed digimon's dive for the foe. "Flare Charge!" Despite the unlikelihood of Kai's move hitting it's target, the crimson eyed tamer was confident in his Digimon's eventual success. It almost felt as if the game liked trying to make a fool out of his excitable Coronamon when the SandYanmamon suddenly broke it's charge as it sent blades of wind at the Coronamon instead. Obviously Kai wasn't prepared for this and was knocked backwards into his tamer's arms, who proceeded to fall on his butt, in a rather comical fashion.
"I don't think the direct approach is working." Kosei, setting his Digimon back up on his feet, muttered under his breath. tags, Avalyn, Theo words, 984 notes, Sorry for the rather long wait there. Kosei's excitement is on a rollercoaster. Kai's attack fails. Pyrus gets success with Karma Flamer. One of the SandYanmamon retaliate with Bottom Cutter. Ryu intercepts with Thunder Kote. The other SandYanmamon attempts to attack Ryu in his daze with Flying Break. Kai then attempts to do the same thing as Ryu with Flare Charge but gets knocked back. |

| Theo was surprised at how easily, it seemed, that Atreyu and Vincent both managed to pull-off a direct hit. Although, their target didn't seem to be fazed in the least. Were all Champion levels this strong? Oswald fluttered over to hover by Theo's shoulder. He'd gone strangely quiet, his gaze fixed on the two SandYanmamon with an intensity that was uncharacteristic of the normally hyperactive bat.
As the second inestoid Digimon sent blades of air the Coronamon's way, Oswald flew forwards in a full-out charge, aiming for the enemy's wings. As he whizzed past it, he outstretched his left wing, slashing at the SandYanmamon. It caught the clip of its primary wing, causing a hiss to seethe from the creature's mouth. It lashed out at the DemiDevimon, catching his ear and sending him careening back. He flinched and dove to the floor, before letting out a burst of laughter. "This is so cool!"
Theo rolled his eyes. Even if Oswald was caught up in a fight, he still manafed to make it into some kind of game.
As soon as the first SandYanmamon had ceased its attack on the Kotemon and Candlemon, Vincent ran towards it, hoping to tire it out through continuous fighting. His lime-green beak began to glow as he hopped into mid-air to peck at the insect. At the same time, the SandYanmamon struck out with its stinger. Vincent eyes went wide momentarily, before turning to determined slits. He tilted his head back and brought it slamming down against the dragonfly's head at the same time its stinger hit home.
"Damn it," Theo uttered, preparing to run forward to aid Vincent. However, Atreyu dropped to the ground before him, raising a paw. "I'll get him, you stay here." With that, he dashed over to the clashing pair, shouting, "Blazing Ice!" Shots of arctic cold air were sent flying at the SandYanmamon, who dodged out of the way, forgetting all about its prey momentarily.
The Muchomon dropped to the floor, nursing his injured flipper. "I'll be fine," Vincent muttered as Atreyu drew close. "Just keep that thing away from me for a while..." The Lopmon nodded, his impassive gaze fixing back on the enemy.
Oswald fluttered down to them, nudging at Vincent. Theo moved closer, keeping a wary eye on the SandYanmamon as it buzzed close by. It left a small ball of irritation in his stomach at how he could draw no closer to his team. They might very well be nothing but pixels, but that didn't mean that he should just leave them if they were injured. In any game, things didn't work out so good if you left your characters hurt throughout a battle. "Just... be more careful," he told them. | Words: 489
| Notes: Oswald attacked with Bat Flutter, clipping the enemy. Vincent attacked with Tropical Beak, however got hit in the process. Atreyu caused a distraction. | Tagged: Kosei and Avalyn | |

ICY_MOON The sight of the other Digimon’s attacks as well as the creatures’ was rather astounding. The thrill of it is exhilarating and despite the fact that this is a mere game, the threat felt real. The digimon even appeared to be in real pain. It almost caused me to feel bad for them but I must focus on winning this battle. That said I could practically feel the steam rising from Nayru’s head as she attempted to formulate a plan to win this battle. Though she would not admit it I knew that she also did not want to lose or retreat if there were other options. Farore on the other hand was charging forward and attempting to defend both Nayru and I from harm, despite the fact that she herself would have preferred we not fight to begin with.
In seconds the move that Farore charged had gathered at the peak of her horn and with the yell from Farore, the attack went forward. The multicolored beam shot from Farore's horn and struck true at the first dragonfly monster that drew closer to us. The blast did not appear to do much damage however the light from the blast enveloped the dragonfly's body briefly before it dissipated as well. Suddenly the dragonfly began to thrash about violently and uncontrollably. It might have something to do with Farore's blast confusing it or blinding it. One way or another though this could have been a major bad thing or a good thing. Without much thought Farore ran forward to attack with her horn again but the second… what was it? SandYanmamon? Yeah that had swatted Farore away quite easily after her attack hit. "Farore!" My muscles tensed and began to move almost on their own when I saw this to run over to catch her before she hit the ground. I planted my feet to the ground and with open arms I easily caught Farore and began to skid from my initial position. The impact against my body was huge and my muscled strained to against the pressure, however I was able to stop her from flying too far which was a good thing. Guess those exercises and stuff was paying off and I felt the need to comment on this but Farore’s fur coat thing is rather soft.
Nayru on the other hand appeared rather angry from the attack as her eyes shot to Farore who slowly recovered in my arms. “Do not be so reckless. You became poisoned.” Nayru hissed as Farore moved out of my arms to stand on her own. “It is nothing compared to Din’s venom.” Farore’s voice was slow and low but the sarcasm was there. She was most likely untruthful in that statement however as Farore never acted in such a way to Din’s poison yet Nayru refused to comment any further. I tried not to say anything since I did not know what to say in the situation but having Din around would have been nice. Suddenly a small grey animal appeared on top of the Cliffside nearby and fearlessly leaped off of it as the second dragonfly drew close due to how air born it was.
Wait, was that Din? The grey spot that looked very much like Din had begun clawing at the second Dragonfly's back as it flew wildly in an attempt to throw her off with no success. To my surprise I saw Din’s red eyes lock onto mine as the clawing continued, assuring me that this was indeed one of my Digimon pets. It did not appear as if the damage Din was causing was affecting it as much as it was that she was on the monster's back but I think I will merely look at it as a positive thing. Nevertheless somehow Din had caused the other Dragonfly to careen into the crazed one and released a blast of purple smog as she jumped off the one she rode. I pursed my lips to stop myself from cheering at Din’s entrance and how she got payback for Farore since the battle was not over. Nayru was the first to run up and approach Din as she landed but greeted her with a stomp to the foot.
Din recoiled in pain from the attack and gave Nayru a harsh glare as if the cute pup had gone mad. Nayru not being one to beat around the bush began to scold Din in mid battle which was a rather embarrassing look. "You could have been seriously injured or worse have killed us." I cannot tell if that was out of concern for Din or telling Din that she was in the wrong. Din appeared to have elected to ignore Nayru however and refocused on the large creatures that were recovering from the attacks. "Be more careful when attempting a stunt like that." Din almost looked ready to attack Nayru however she refrained from doing so in favor of attacking the mutual enemy. "Stop complaining. It appeared to me that I saved your asses so concentrate on our battle."
On that Nayru could not openly object thus she returned her sights on the two monsters as Farore walked to the other side of Din. Nayru suddenly looking enlightened turned to the other digimon and then to Din. “If you do Electric Stun Blast, do you think the gas would be flammable?” Din shrugged. I suppose that is to be expected. Din does not have the ability to light things on fire on her own so it was most likely never attempted. There was a low growl which I guess came from Nayru however she had then turned to the Candle looking thing and the fire lion cub thing. Once I saw that I knew what Nayru’s plan was but was it a good idea? “Lady Pyrus and Sir Kai correct? I would like to test a theory. My associate Gazimon here will attempt an area wide smokescreen paralysis attack on the enemy. If you two would combine your fire powers to attempt to light the smokescreen aflame then perhaps we could increase the intensity of our attacks and the smoke will catch ablaze.”
Farore glanced back at the two fire creators then towards Din who did not appear to mind the fighting or the conversation about her attack. It left the rest of the other Digimon free ended but Farore had a plan as well. “The rest of us will have to try projectile attacks to subvert any further damage towards us.” And that was a good plan too. If anything it will tire out the beasts and we can finish them off somehow. I turned to the other tamers to see how they were handling the situation. Our leader was looking really excited and the other rather worried for his Digimon which was understandable. I am personally still worried about Farore who was trying her best to not show any pain.
“If this is successful then it is probable that this battle will end swiftly.” Nayru stated this firmly as if she were in charge which was rather strange considering that these orders were coming from a cute little puppy. “If not we must begin thinking of new options.” My heartbeat quickened as I saw the monsters moving again to attack I think. Regardless of whether or not the group agreed to the plan, either way the smokescreen would have been a good way to buy us some time. I hesitated momentarily however my lips parted and I called out to my digimon. “Din, do it.” While Din growled at being called her nickname she nevertheless inhaled a breath to breath out a large amount of thick black smog to cover the battle area before her that also mixed with the poison from before. “Any of you have a better plan?”
| ► Kosei and Theo ► It is up to you all whether or not you would like this battle to end swiftly or not. If so then you all can decide if you want to battle another digimon or if you would like to explore further with obstacles or etc. I wanted to leave that option open ► Salamon (Nayru) thinks of a plan and explains it, wanting to light Electric Stun Blast from Din on fire. ► Psychemon (Farore) uses Psyche Shot on the first SandYanmamon to confuse it then tries to use Striped Horn Attack on the same one only to be hit by Polymer Touch. ► Gazimon (Din) jumps on the second's back and uses Moin Slash repeatedly to bring it down against the confused one then uses Venom Breath as she joins the other Digimon. Follows with Electric Stun Blast as a smokescreen.

Maybe six feet! ain't so far down! "I'm not good with plans so no," Seeing as Kosei wasn't the brightest person to ever grace the face the earth or the digital world, that was really the only the response he could give. Plans were never his thing in the first place and he would've preferred charging in straight ahead if that actually worked in this situation. All of that considering, Kosei had no choice to trust the Salamon's plan despite how far fetched it might of seemed to him. Besides, wasn't it videogame logic that stated the fact that poison gas is most likely flammable? It made more sense considering they were playing a game at the moment so why not go along with it? Besides he literally had no choice to go along with it seeing as Ava's Gazimon already started it's attack. "Go for it guys."
"I can fend off any projectiles." To be honest Kosei wasn't surprised in the least to hear the usually silent Kotemon grip his Kendo Stick firmly and say that. It definitely wasn't out of character for Ryu given the situation though Kosei had to wonder if his Kotemon was actually capable of deflecting projectiles. Then again the seventeen year old actually had idea what the full range of attacks for all of the digimon in his chosen pack was. Perhaps that was something he should of looked into before beta testing but really thinking ahead wasn't one of his strongest points. Besides Kosei actually hadn't expected to get in a battle so quickly after starting to play the game.
"Yeah! Burning Spirit!" Kai, jumping up and down out of pure excitement, cheered gleefully. Well at least Kai seemed to be thrilled about the plan though the same couldn't be said about Pyrus who was frowning in what appeared to be contemplation. Still watching flames begin to gather at the brow of Kai's forehead was always a cool sight even if his candlemon didn't seem one hundred percent sure about this. Though really Kosei couldn't blame the little candlemon even if he wanted to for he too had his doubts. Still he wanted to believe that this would end their struggle in a swift manner so obviously he was willing to jump at the chance. Obviously Kai was just as willing as the feisty Coronamon launched a beam of fire at the poison cloud. Even if the cloud didn't actually catch there was always the possibility that his attack would hit the SandYanmamon themselves.
"If I must. Rage of Flames!" Although she did in fact say that, which to this dense tamer meant she agreed, Pyrus really didn't sound too happy with this plan. If he had to take a guess at what was going on in her mind then he'd say that she was questioning the possibility of poison gas being flammable but then again he wasn't a mind reader. Whatever the reason for her giving in to the plan though Kosei didn't really care one way or another. He was just well excited to see what Rage of flames could do exactly. Given how overexcited he could get at times it was no surprise that he was imagining some uber attack that could rend the earth in twain. Unfortunately two medium sized balls of fire being launched into the poison cloud alongside the beam of fire wasn't really what he had in mind. Still the intended effect was rather great as said poison cloud did in fact catch fire catching the SandYanmamon inside of. The SandYanmamon looked severely weakened after the fire died down which led him to believe that this would be over soon in a few more attacks. tags, Avalyn, Theo words, 637 notes, Kosei can't think of anything better so his digimon go along with Nayru's plan which goes swimming when Corona Flame and Rage of Flames meet the poison cloud. |

| "I'm well enough to send a couple of flares the enemy's way," Vincent said getting to his feet. Atreyu stepped back, his gaze falling on the injured flipper of his team-mate. He said nothing, but turned, facing the female Tamer and her team. "I will also aid in the confrontation."
Everyone's attacks were only seeming to vaguely injure their opponents, and Theo's party didn't seem to be faring too well, with one of the three injured already. So, when the plan was brought out into the open, Theo nodded, relieved. "Nope, that plan sounds good to me," he replied, glancing back at his trio. Oswald had risen back into the air, his wings leading him backwards away from the feral Digimon. Whilst Vincent prepared himself for the upcoming attack. Atreyu breathed in deep, holding fire for a brief time in his own form of preparation.
Soon, the dark haired Tamer started to put the plan in action. The fiery set of his pack began to attack the enemies anew; his Coronamon launching a beam of flames, whilst his Candlemon hit the toxic cloud with her own form of fire. Both techniques instantaneously caused a mini-explosion, which, when it cleared revealed the SandYanmamon's to be in much worse state than when they had first battled. This was the moment that Atreyu and Vincent had been waiting for, launching their attacks simultaneously, they struck the pair of SandYanmamon.
Weakened by the tag-team attacks, the insectoid Digimon could barely get out of the way in time; their movements now sluggish. Most of the flared bullets and iced air shots hit their mark, a few falling short due to the added movement of their targets, or true calculation of the distance. | Words: 316
| Summary: As soon as the team-attacks were dealt, Vincent and Atreyu fired at the enemy, dealing them more damage still. | Tagged: Kosei and Avalyn | |

ICY_MOON The other tamers agreed and their digimon subsequently followed suit. Perfect. That said, I could not say that I expected this to work however if we agreed to work together then perhaps we had a chance. I know Nayru's plans usually worked. Even the look on her face appeared to be one of satisfaction as the other digimon began to follow the plan. As the penguin, flaming lion cub, and candle things shot fire towards the developing smokescreen, the gaseous cloud caught aflame. I felt the abnormally hot temperatures upon my skin causing my foot to make an unconscious backstep. The vibrant arrays of orange and reds grew and I could see the two large digimon fly about the flaming area. One of them continuously bumped into the other to knock it off balance. I suppose this was due to confusion from Farore's Psyche Shot. "That did it." Nayru stated firmly as she watched from Din's side who merely gave a neutral look at how things turned out.
The digimon were set aflame and clearly affected by Din's poison. Nayru appeared satisfied by the result as Farore twirled to produce the multicolored blocks of her dance. The blocks were subsequently shot forward into the blazing inferno of flames while assembling into a wall, looking similar to meteors combining into one large mass. The other digimon also moved forward to launch their attacks and amusingly the digimon appeared to take much more damage than they appeared to have previously. I must admit seeing this display before me was remarkable and gave me a sense of accomplishment. Within moments as the last attacks were launched and the inferno began to lower to the ground, the forms of the foes before us faded and was replaced with two masses of blue ribbons with a strange encoding within them.
"Finally." I heard Din say as she jumped upward. The ribbons unfurled into several strands and shot out towards each of the digimon to my surprise, however even Nayru appeared to accept this. Nayru and Farore looked upward with their eyes closed to accept the ribbons that moved towards them. After that my digimon appeared to absorb the ribbons into themselves without question and while I was hesitant to do anything I accepted it as well. They were not attacking me and Din appeared rather elated as she began to absorb whatever this is which is new. Since there was nothing else I could do, I turned to look at the other tamers to see their reactions. "Both of you okay?" Though I said this, my thoughts scattered as my eyes trailed away from them however to look further up to higher elevations. I wonder what this valley hid that caused those monsters to attack us. It could be a coincidence however I somehow doubted the likelihood of that.
I looked to Kosei and offered a smile as I took a step towards him to talk. "Looks as if we are done here. How about you decide where we go next fearless leader." I said this lightheartedly in an attempt to move on and relax despite the attack. After all, he is the leader and it was up to him to decide where we were to go and it is not like I would want that pressure if I was leader. I did not mind either way what he decided however. This was actually quite an exciting journey even if we did not travel far and were attacked. I was all for continuing the exploration. "That is if you men are still up for traveling further up the valley."
