beauty versus swag. Bunny didn't know exactly what led him to Limit Valley or what exactly he was supposed to do here, but whatever it was he wasn't entirely opposed to the idea of exploring the digital world and trying to unlock more of its secrets. There was a strong wind, blowing across the face of the rocky fence that contained the valley within. The rope-and-wood bridges, like something you'd see it out of Indiana Jones or something, were rocking back in forth as if near collapse - as if the few missing planks in the walk wasn't threatening enough. The sun's rays, rather the digital world's substitute rays of light and heat, shone down upon his face and reflected off that twinkle in his eye. Bunny hummed to himself, inaudible to himself as white and red headphones covered his ears projecting a similar tune into his ears. In the wind he seemed to sway, as the loose grey jacket that he had on blew in the breeze and the white t-shirt under it caught wind and also fluttered a bit.
Luna the Renamon stood at his side, acting a more watchful eye than the Bunny. She, unlike Bunny, stood straight in resistant to the wind and had an almost majestic air about her as her head turned to look at the surrounding area. Sol, who had become more like a child that he was no where near enough mature to raise, was at his side. On occasion she tried to reach her paw up to be taken by Bunny, her scratchy voice pleading for his attention. Astra was silent, carrying himself in the same way that he always did. His eyes, although somewhat lazy, betrayed his intent to tear to pieces the first thing that moved. Bunny reached another one of those ghetto bridges, ghetto being a bit of an overstatement if you would, and was not at all eager to cross it. He probably should have asked Luna if it was safe to cross, but his Beats kept on playing at a volume that prevented him from hearing himself or Luna's response for that matter.
all i know is keep it cool i stay calm. they ask me how you do that what's this fool on
Looking down the valley, he saw the various platforms and the bridges that wove them together like a sort of loose patchwork. Bunny figured if he fell one or another of those bridges would catch him. Then he'd break through it and die. Beauty willing he wouldn't have to see how sturdy all those other bridges down there were. Bunny, while casting his gaze down, saw the Lopmon pulling on his pant leg and trying to get his attention. "'sup?" He pulled on his own headphones, pulling it off his ear so he could listen to what the Lopmon wanted. Before Sol could answer, Luna's voice rang out from behind him, "Bunny. We should stop here. Any further would put as unnecessary risk. At this elevation we are already subject to attack." Her tone didn't waver or anything, but he had heard her speak enough to feel the care and concern in her words. Bunny was getting sort of accustomed to listening to Luna, even if she was a buzzkill. "A'ight, beautiful. What we doin', then?" She looked away as if shamed by Bunny. "Wait. We are here to train, it won't take long for a Digimon to find us and recognize us as a threat. I hope you are prepared, Bunny."
"Yeah, yeah, its cool. Don't worry about it, handle yourself." Luna didn't seem to hear him, but was more than likely just protesting in her own silent way. Sol tugged on Bunny's pant leg and begged, "Bunny, Luna isn't being beautiful."--"Give her a sec. She's just beautiful in a lil' different way 's all." Sol seemed to accept this and parted from the Bunny and began walking around the little site near the cliff side that they resided. Hopefully this wouldn't get too boring, but he couldn't be sure given it was eerily quiet and nothing seemed to be approaching him. He guessed that the scenery was beautiful enough to keep him distracted or something. Bunny began to think about what was going on back in Cali, what he was missing while here at this beta. Couldn't say he really missed it all too much.

Further into the Darkness He’d been playing for four days straight now, of course by four days they’d been digital days which in turned ended up being about 4 hours in the real world. When the time came to log off for the first time he wondered how disoriented he’d be from the experience or any negative side effects this test would include, he was expecting massive migraines maybe some nausea among other minor things. The scientists before entering assured them nothing harmful would encumber them, but if that was the case why did he have to sign so many damn waivers before entering? Seeing as Kei trusted few people as it was, trusting random ass white coats was close to impossible for him. By that logic one would think he wouldn’t have joined at all but his curiosity and the excuse to escape was more than enough for a little life risking, or so he thought, teenagers were stupid when it came to bargaining, Kei as crafty as he was, wasn’t all that different at his base.
The man awoke in his sea coast apartment, or rather screensaver at around 6:00 in the morning. After grabbing the little gear he had Kei warped to the city his team I tow. He’d become accustomed to leaving early seeing as it was impossible to warp from a home server into the wilderness leaving early made it easy to get around the city without dealing with the normal crowds of people. His digimon were less then appreciative when it came down to his schedule, as Kei was an early waker regardless. His digimon needless to say were not, well all excluding Aeon who seemed to be neutral when it came to everything they dealt with. Before Ven and Xia could complain Kei spoke up.
“You can complain later we’re going to train today, Aeon any recommended places.” In truth over the last three or so days Xia and Ven had gotten the majority of their way whether it’d been exploring the beach, making friends, playing or whatever else fancied them at the time. Aeon deserved to have that same satisfaction, and early on the digimon made it known he was most satisfied when he fought, and so the darker themed digimon would direct the group today. “Limit Valley usually has stronger digimon around, the earlier we arrive the better.”
“Understood, you both heard him we’re going.” Kei’s voice was authoritative the remaining two digimon sighed, but agreed, they’d long since realized they’d had it pretty easy thus far and the two needed another good fight. And so after about 40 or so minutes of walking the 4 arrived at the entrance to the valley, by this point the drowsiness had left all of them, the cool air surrounding the area took care of that post haste. The area was strange to say the least it was in a way a giant puzzle the connections between each piece being wooden bridges that looked rickety to say the least. Kei looked down the stranger platforms before dropping a rock off into the massive gap that was supposedly a valley, when he didn’t hear the rock land he spoke up.“You really mean business when you’re looking for a fight, don’t you? Whatever.” With Kei’s smartass remark they began their descent down into the puzzle that was limit valley.
It was around 9:00 before the group saw anyone they’d decided to climb down for around two hours before climbing deep enough they’d wait until something else came along to fight them, sadly they were having little luck, they’d been sitting for two hours before Aeon notified Kei a familiar face, and possible opponent was nearby. He looked up to see that kid he’d met two days ago on one of the platforms above him, the kid was bold, and honest, extremely honest. With his jacket billowing in the wind Kei would call up to the boy, he’d make this simple there was no need for conversation and so with a smirk he’d speak.
“Bunny! Fight me.”
He didn’t know what the kid was here to do nor did he really care they were to tamer’s in the middle of an excellent battle arena, he’d glance at his team the three of them standing up all looking up at the boy and his visible team even though originally not up for the training plan both Ven and Xia were ready to exercise a bit, he figured Ven wanted to prove himself to the Renamon, after all she’d turned him down pretty harshly the other day, while Xia had a bit of stress to work out . Perhaps it was the general setting and his music that brought on this rash decision, or perhaps this was what two or so hours of boredom did to a man. Regardless the challenge had been issued and hopefully they could get some kind of fight underway.

pick up your paws and let's dance. Bunny, attempting to overcome the boredom he had accumulated over the last few minutes, had averted his gaze from his current platform over the cliff where he saw similar platforms at all elevations down the valley. It was pretty convenient, except when it wasn't and you had to remain stationary and avoid all the potential adventure. Supposedly Godzilla would ambush him right over there, though, and he, along with each of his Digimon, would be mauled. He was alright with getting mauled, but as he had learned previously in the Coliseum, seeing his cute and furry little comrades get hurt was actually pretty painful. Like seeing his homies getting shot at. 'Cept he could actually stand that. Whatever. Bunny kept gazing with a little relish, dampened by a desire to fight something or explore but there was always imagination... He needed something to do. Did he really just suggest to himself that his imagination'd make this cool? Bunny was inside of a game, he shouldn't have to use his creativity for anything. "Bunny," Luna spoke out to him, probably just to make sure he hadn't died or something because he was standing still. "There is someone near." About time. He was this close to throwing himself off the cliff to see what losing one of those life points felt like just because there was literally nothing else to do.
A familiar voice. A familiar voice that knew his name. Bunny didn't assign the voice to name or a face though, but it sounded close enough that he'd be in sight if he just turned to look out the other side of the cliff. And the dude wanted to fight. Bunny turned around, keeping his shoulder in Kei's direction and not acknowledging him. He looked down at the Lopmon on the ground now in front of him. "Yo Sol. Y'hear that? Fightin words. Almost sounds like a challenge."--"Ye-"--"That was quite clearly a challenge, Bunny. It is that man, Kei, he wishes to battle." Bunny sighed, looking up to the Renamon that had taken a few steps to bridge the gap between her and him. "Shuddup, Luna." He turned on his heels to see the man on a lower platform. Rocking that trench coat thing. Probably here to shoot more people up or something. "I gotchu key." Bunny motioned his head for his Digimon to come up to the cliff-edge with him. The fall didn't look that difficult for his Digimon to complete, but he probably couldn't do it without hurting himself. Bunny put his foot to the edge, getting a better look over it. Holding his right arm out behind him he took the step over the edge. Luna charged up behind him as he began his descent.
In a flash, both Bunny and Renamon were gone from sight. Half second later, Bunny stood on the same platform as his challenger with the Renamon hanging onto him. Detaching himself from the Luna, he stuffed his hands into his jacket pockets for a moment as he waited for his Digimon to all arrive. Sol got a running start and jumped down from the upper platform, her ears spinning like a helicopter and lowing her down right over Bunny's head to land in front of him. Phascomon ran and jumped as well, gliding on his tiny wings to land on Bunny's left. Closing his eyes, the Bunny reached up to his neck and pulled the yellow bandanna that had slowly slipped down into his white T-shirt up to the top of his neck again. He then took a few steps back, leaving his Digimon to be in front of him a little more. At this point he had created a gap between him and Kei that was at least 25 feet apart. "Jus' so we clear, lemme gimme you a few rules."
Bunny jogged his mind for some rules to establish. There was only really a few that stood out in his mind. He knew that if he didn't say any rules, however, Luna would make some note of it or scold him if and when they lost. "First, if anythin' touches me Luna'll beat you to a digital death. Ain't really a rule. Just a warning." Bunny chuckled. "If ya have any of those cards you best throw that shit out, I don't have time." Luna rolled her eyes, getting into a fighting position. Sol chuckled. "Most importantly, stay beautiful, a'ight?" Bunny wasn't one to set up rules like this, but since he did actually want to have one or two serious ones he had to at least make it seem like a joke. Usually you didn't get time to set this sort of stuff up in Compton. Someone would already be on the ground knocked out or shot in the gut or something. He liked this sort of thing.
Luna's paws were covered in blue flames as she prepared her Power Paw attack, her feet sliding across the rocky ground as she readied herself to make the first move. Astra the Phascomon's claws and red wings began to vibrate a little as they emanated a red aura that signified the activation of its Blood Hunt. Finally, Lopmon spun around and said the word Beautiful a couple times. "Shoot first, bro."
words | 881 summary | i'm feeling lazy. just know that renamon is using power paw to prepare herself for battle and phascomon is using blood hunt which increases his speed.

Further into the Darkness Bunny gave no options when it came to the challenge declaring his terms as only Bunny could, arrogantly and not caring in the slightest of what Kei or anybody else for that matter thought about him or whatever he was declaring. Kei was beginning to think this was simply the kind of guy Bunny was. Not that it mattered all too much, Kei had no qualms with him, and he liked to think it was the same vice versa. After all in their last meeting Kei was the only one who he didn't mock before leaving in the flashy 'Bunny' way. Regardless as far as Kei was concerned Bunny currently was an opponent, nothing more nothing less and he'd use all of his power to take the opposing tamer down.
Kei first slid his digivice out from his pocket. According to Bunny's rules he couldn't use his power up cards, not like he had any other than the promotional one everyone received, but he didn't say anything about using the digivice for other things. As he raised the digivice up towards him in particular aiming it at the Phascomon in particular he'd receive a description on the target in the form of a holographic message. A large circular screen would appear above the digivice as it had multiple times before displaying basic information on the black koala digimon. Kei in particular paid attention to its two recorded attacks. Eucaly Claw and Evil Snore, the first being a simple slash like attack the danger of the attack being its ability to easily paralyze the foe, while the latter technique using some kind of hypnotic ability that makes use of the digimon's eyes making causing the victim to fall drowsy and eventually putting them to sleep altogether.
Kei decided it'd be best to focus on the Koala digimon first as he felt it'd be the biggest hindrance due to the various status effects it was able to inflict. Kei had two orders for his digimon. The first was to simply avoid harming the tamer the second was to target the demon koala digimon. Each of his digimon hearing the muffled orders stood tall to face the team on the plateau above them. He watched as the four glided down to his plateau leaving both teams with equal and even footing. With both teams prepared the battle had begun.
The first to make her move was surprisingly Xia who simply watched the Phascomon before crouching dangerously her teeth had begun to shine brightly the lionness digimon was preparing her Critical Bite technique the first part being searching for any weak points in the digimon's anatomy. Once it was in range she'd most likely leap and strike down the black blooded bear digimon, in short her plan was to counter the demon digimon once in her range.
Ven was next stepping up adamantly grinning eagerly at the Renamon who only a few days ago rejected him utterly, The blue dragon digimon at this point was brimming with confidence ready to show his strength off, in fact the digimon was preparing to proclaim it. "Oi beautiful! I know we got off on the wrong foot the other day, but how about we make a bet. If I beat you here you gotta go on a date with me." Kei although slightly embarrassed by the digimon's words simply shrugged them off, for now at least. This time around the freedom digimon was motivated to win, he didn't exactly support or approve of what motivated him, but in the end motivation was motivation and he was ready to see the Veemon fight his hardest for his cause. The blue dragon digimon would then glance at Aeon who in return would simply nod. The two seemed to be cooking up some kind of strategy of sorts. Ven would simply crouch preparing his first attack waiting for Aeon to unleash his skill which seemed like it would directly impact the current stasis of sorts the battle was currently held at.
Pyro Grenade! The attack name was brought from the depths of the black dinosaurs stomach loud enough to echo throughout the valley, following the name an abnormally large black fireball would emerge from Aeon's mouth flying at dangerous speeds aiming directly for the earth in front of the three digimon. The dark fireball would slam into the topside of the levitating plateau of sorts rocking it greatly and destroying a small portion of the earth between the two tamers the fireball would then explode causing black flames to scatter around the opposing team. The initial explosion causing dust to rise around the opponents. Ven then altered his position to that of a track starter, ready to blast forward the instant a face made their way through the dust cover.
"Now Bunny let’s see if you can back up that ego." his voice was low as flames and dust continued to consume the area in which Bunny and his digimon stood, Aeon had two goals with this strategy; the first was to simply throw his opponents off leaving them with the advantage Ven and Xia seemed to understand that perfectly more than ready to attack the second they saw an opportunity. The second was to limit the general movement of the opponents by breaking up the stage and having small flames litter their portion of the arena they’d be forced into unfavorable positions

Yo bruh I don't think this is gm-ing but if it is I'm more than willing to change it aight homie? Not my best post but it gets the point across.
-Leormon locks in on Phascomon preparing to use Critical bite. -Veemon Crouches down prepared to dash and attack -Black Guilmon Uses Pyro-grenade and blast a hole on your half of the platform.

move tiger pick up your paws and let's dance | you give a man the first shot he's gonna want to set up on you.
you give a man a set up and he's gonna want to win.
you give a man the win - actually nah.
no thanks. bunny figured that his digimon would draw just as quick as the enemy did, because that's the kind of things they were. he may have wanted to give this guy a little bit of an edge since he did state all of his rules in a no-nonsense way so that opposing them wasn't exactly an option. the dude pulled out a digivice, probably doing a little bit of research. bunny could have done that too, but chances were that what he knew wouldn't be substantial. he knew his role, stand back here and look beautiful so when his digimon were out there dying the beauty levels wouldn't be harmed. renamon raised her arms up to her sides, her feet shuffling a little as she bounced back and forth in anticipation. phascomon's eyes blinked lazily and his wings beat at the air as if trying to get airborne that way. sol was being sol, staring at the enemy and bobbing her head back and forth humming some tune. she'd be snapping if she was capable. bunny checked over each of his digimon, deciding that they were all cool for the time being and he was just waiting for kei to make the first move. it wouldn't take long.
but since he had a moment. bunny reached into his jacket pocket, bypassing the d-terminal and the d-arc digivice to grab the ipod. holding it out in front of him, bunny slid his thumb across the bottom of the touchscreen to unlock it. navigating through the ridiculously long list of songs that occupied just about all of the data on the device, he finally let the scrolling come to a halt. "tch." bunny pressed his thumb down, highlighting one of the numerous songs. battles like this needed a little style, and since he wasn't about to do nothing to make it like that, he just listened to music that got him pumped about the whole thing. that probably didn't make any sense, but... every hero needs his theme music? bunny looked up, pulling his headphones back over his ears. "are we gonna go or not?" aw snap, he spoke a little too soon. that ven thing was stepping up to his renamon, probably about to get obliterated.
just wanted a date. he could respect that. renamon scoffed, much like she had before as a viximon. putting one of her arms down at her hip, she shifted her weight onto one leg. was this thing serious? violently beating her wasn't about to tempt her into wanting him any more, she wasn't into that nor did that really apply to anyone at all. she had never been on a date before, but if she was to think about it she sort of belonged to bunny so it didn't actually matter since she couldn't leave his side. he did say beautiful though... "if that is what you truly desire then i won't protest," she hid a chuckle. hopefully bunny didn't hear that, she never heard her outside of her parental functions. "keep up." she took a few steps backwards, looking away from the veemon and putting her paws up to resumer her stance. without the distraction from the veemon, she looked over to the lion whose teeth were glowing as in the preparation of an attack.
bunny caught onto this as well, admittedly a little late but he saw it nonetheless. nature was sort of scary. didn't really matter though, that thing would be dealt with along with everything else. bunny caught onto the fact that it was glaring at phascomon, which was strange. usually the strongest looking digimon tried to pair off with renamon because they had the misconception that they would stand a chance against her. perhaps there was more of a reason for this, but bunny couldn't be sure. he didn't really know what he was up against, but if he had to guess that lion thing was close range oriented. given the fact that phascomon was also a short range fighter, there would probably be some brutal contact in that pairing. no worries, it couldn't have been that bad.
his eyes snapped wide open as he looked at the dark dinosaur looking thing, which fired a strange black fiery orb at his digimon. also from its throat was a guttural growl that was much more like a yell than anything else, announcing its technique as pyro grenade. bunny had his music down low enough to hear most of what was going on the field, but was almost tempted to turn it up when he heard that noise. black dinosaurs are trifling. whatever. renamon blinked, preparing herself to react to whatever the fireball might be doing. with a name like that, she anticipated an explosion of sorts. lopmon was closest to the enemy digimon, so out of the corner of her eyes she watched that digimon above others. sol's eyes reflected nothing but the pure darkness of the fireball, however whether by luck or an intentional act by the enemy digimon, the fireball's arc of movement caused it to slam into the ground in front of lopmon.
she stumbled backwards, all of her breath exiting her at once as she was completely shocked. the flame slammed into the ground in front of her, at first not appearing to do anything but then suddenly erupting in black smoke and kicking up the dust around it with the large amount of pressure quickly being purged in all directions. this force caught sol's ears, the air underneath them actually picking her up off the ground. as soon as she realized this was happening, she began to twist her ears just enough to control her movement as to stabilize herself a bit. flames erupted around her body, black embers just out of reach threatened to extend their tiny fingers and brush against her delicate fur. phascomon stared forward, matching the gaze of the liormon even as the dust cloud grew. astra blinked and in the next moment black embers amidst a shroud of dust had obscured his line of sight from the liormon. he looked over to the renamon, whose fur waved in the force of the explosion, giving her a rugged appearance.
bunny threw up his arms in front of him, closing his eyes and ducking his head down a little behind the x he formed in front of himself. after the initial explosion subsided, he slowly opened his eyes and looked up into the dust cloud. as could have been predicted, it was not bunny whom gathered himself first. luna darted to her side, the blue flames around her arm still visible - even through the thick dust and debris. running over to sol, she found that sol had lost her balance and was laying face-down against the grond - just a few feet away from the newly created hole in the ground. she realized this as impressive power, especially from something at a rookie level, but it was nothing that would put a stop to their assault. as the blue flames dissipating around her right paw, she reached down and forced sol back onto her feet. "stay back, sol. clear the dust, but don't engage them. provide whatever support you are capable of." she got back to her full stature, looking down at the lopmon.
sol acknowledged this only by obliging the command. inhaling heavy as if trying to catch her breath, sol looked into the dust that was slowly dissipating. she could only make out one form, what was actually the outline of veemon. taking a step back with renewed pep in her step, she exhaled heavily and then swung her entire body around a single time which gave her the momentum to continue spinning several times. after a couple seconds, sol had lifted herself off the ground. extending her leg down to touch the ground, she abruptly stopped her spinning. "take this!" a twister was spawned from the several quick rotations and now was barreling towards the veemon, whisking away the leftover embers in front of her as well as thinning out the dust cloud.
astra blinked. oh look, the clouds were somehow dissipating. after repositioning himself a few feet to the side so that he wasn't so close to some black embers, he looked over to where he could once more see the liormon standing there in its prepared state. astra didn't feel like engaging on something that looked like that, not before prepping it for an assault anyway. phascomon began to convert some of the energy within it into waves that stayed in its breast. closing its eyes, the digimon welled this converted energy into its eyes being held back by its eyelids. finally opening its eyes, the sleep waves were launched at the liormon across the platform. if they were to make impact, the enemy digimon would be overcome with feelings of drowsiness and would probably eventually give in to the desire to sleep. see, that would be everything, but then we got that thing renamon.
and ain't nobody about to forget about renamon. luna blasted forward, slamming her strong legs down into the ground and shooting herself forward out of the top of the dissipating dust. her arms at her side were covered in an almost ethereal-looking blue flame. using her superhuman speed, renamon quickly moved back down to the ground in front of the blackguilmon, leaving the afterimage of a white diamond in her wake. crouching in front of the blackguilmon, she threw herself forward launching incredibly quick flame-enhanced punches at the digimon in quick succession. hopefully her speed and the powerful impact would leave this technique uncountered and she would succeed.
bunny was bobbing his head to some beat in the background. he isn't very important right now.

Further into the Darkness Tension.
As his first attacks flew he could feel his palms sweat. Perhaps it was because of worry for the wellbeing of his digimon or perhaps it was simply because he didn’t know what to expect, but one thing and only one thing was for certain. He enjoyed this feeling. This sense of worry was exhilarating. It wasn’t anything new, he had done jobs that gave him this same anxiousness that some part of him craved, albeit most people would be ashamed at those would be social atrocities and by no means would most people think he should have been proud of them. But then again Kei, at the root of his soul, was for everything the system and normal society was against. If not entirely then at least 75% to 80% tops. Most of the jobs he completed despite how cool many of them seemed, and actually were, they still weren’t right and in order. This was more than a problem than simply conforming to the will of a group, it was simply irresponsible. Hopefully he’d grow out of this phase but by the looks of his bad natured personality regardless how calm and intelligent he was it didn’t seem like this growth would happen anytime soon if ever.
None of this was truly important, the simple point being he gaining a type of high that was almost impossible to get by normal means. The only way to make this any better was for him to join in the rumble himself, and while a miniscule portion of his conscious was entirely convinced he should, the rest of it agreed that the tamer might as well go swimming in an oil spill for kicks. After all it’d essentially be the same thing, leaving him for dead. The only difference being it’d be slightly less painful and so he’d stay out of the battle physically for now. He’d find other ways to help his digimon. Ways that didn’t involve the man getting his sorry ass dominated three times over.
While the tamer thought of ways to participate, the three doing the real work continued their fight. Xia was having the easiest time of three seeing as the two were simply at a standstill. The attack and the following dust cloud had done its job, or at least the team thought it did, to disorient the opponents, however the negative side effect of the dust cloud also came into effect, that being in the simplest terms possible:
‘They couldn’t see jack.’
The opposing digimon could have formulated a plan and begun their counter attack but three on the outside wouldn’t know until they appeared from the earth particles hovering in the air, or it dissipated one way or another whether it is the dust simply settling after some time or someone managing to blow it away of sorts. Regardless it was a tense situation currently. While digimon were killing each other on the opposite side of the battle, by the time the smoke cleared on Xia’s side the phascomon had begun the unleashing of some wave like attack coming from the digimon’s eyes. Xia was not completely asleep but had become a bit less stable, that much was obvious, but she’d be damned if she’d let the koala digimon overcome her so easily especially after all the preparation she put into preparing her move. By this point she’d looked the black digimon’s body over multiple times to the point she was even able to recognize its basic forms through the shadows of the now long gone dust cloud. And so by focusing her energy she stabilized and leaped at her prey. If successful she’d crash down on the demon digimon, who still seems to be hypnotizing Xia, doing extremely heavy damage with a bite known for its raw power.
Regardless if the attack hit or failed, Xia would leap back from the digimon in a very rpg-esque game like fashion. The digimon would then totter as if confused; she was on her last legs before being open to attacks of all kinds. Kei was thinking of ways to help and looked over to his opponent while the opposing tamer seemed to be vibing to what he assumed to be fitting battle music (a privilege heroes were granted in battle). It helped him come up with a plan to counteract hypnosis or in this case sleepiness. The solution was pretty simple, actually annoying, but simple. Kei would stick to fingers into his mouth before blowing. Yes the solution was whistling.
The following sound was ungodliness at its finest, similar to that of nails on a chalkboard or scraping glass. A sound which in public was plainly unacceptable unless at some kind of theatrical event, the most common being a sporting event of sorts. It wasn’t a pleasant whistle like that of a tune you just happened to remember from the other day or a classic ageless melody from times past. No this was just loud, annoying and to a digimon with such sensitive ears like Leormon it was more than enough to help the digimon regain its senses. Guess it’s one of the pluses of not being a hero; you’re actually able to function like normal human being. Who would have thought? His goggles may have said he was a main character but definitely not a hero.
As for the other two, they weren’t faring as well. The dust cloud for those two were much more ominous. Just as the renamon could see the Veemon in the shadows, Aeon was able to lock in on the blue spark like droplets coming from within the smoky cloud. He didn’t know what was emitting them; he just knew it was a digimon. However before he could attack with a second fireball the two opposing digimon unleashed the counter attack from their cover cloud. The first technique removed the entire dust cloud in general via a pink Tornado. Ven easily wasn’t the smartest digimon along with the fact he was extremely head strong led for a bad combination especially when it came to confront a tornado of sorts. The digimon thought he’d be able to blast through and take down the lopmon in the process after he was already in position to attack and so the blue dragon digimon did what could have been the stupidest thing possible. He actually launched himself forward head first into the tornado making full use of his V-shot. While it was entirely pointless it did lessen the damage he took from the tornado but in the long run he still, in the end, became intertwined with the technique and the tornado dragged him back. By the time Veemon realized what had happened, he’d looked below him only to see land disappear before him and quickly at that. If the wind pushed him any farther back he’d be knocked off the stage. Needless to say if he fell of the stage, chances were it was game over for him.
He couldn’t let that happen. Luckily the tornado was dying out quickly just in time for him to grab the latter half of the plateau. He was hanging on a whim, but it easily could have been much worse. Ven using his upper body strength and a fine bit of will power climbed up the side of the plateau, ending up damaged and a bit weary. Nonetheless the digimon stood tall and ready to continue fighting. He’d scour the battle arena and Xia seemed to be dealing with her own fight, but Aeon looked like he could use a bit of help. Renamon seemed focused on the black dinosaur and it was time for him to jump in on that action. Hopefully seeing as she was focused on retaliation from Aeon, she’d be too busy to notice a blue blur coming at her from the right charging in with a headbutt. As he ran the digimon would hear the most unpleasant sound it’d heard in its 4 days of life. It’s what he assumed Xia would sound like when she died, knock on wood. The sound startled him so much he’d stop mid stride looking over to the source it being none other than his tamer. This obviously threw the digimon off for a moment but after 3 or so seconds, deciding it wasn’t important, restarted his dash once again preparing to pummel renamon with his Signature headbutt hoping he still had the element of surprise on his side.
Aeon got the worst of the hits this round as the dust cleared. The Renamon decided to target him with her flaming paws of what should only have been known as immense pain. The digimon in a flash was face to face with Aeon, slamming him with fist after fist after fist so quickly that he had no time to intercept, counter, or dodge. It was like watching a round in Tekken. The final strike caused him to fall back a bit for a long moment. The digimon couldn’t see straight. It’s what happened when you took hits like a chump. If he didn’t regain his bearings soon he’d fall out unconscious and that was the best case scenario. The digimon was hit so hard that he’d lost his voice for a second, realizing he couldn’t even growl or groan in pain. At least his body resisted a good portion of the fire seeing as he was a digimon who worked with a great deal of fire himself. It was simply the brute force of the punches that knocked him for a serious loop. The digimon closed his eyes and focused himself. His chest hurt but he wasn’t out of the game yet. Just as he was about to fire another attack at the Renamon a screech pierced his ears, immediately the digimon opened his eyes and directed his sight toward the sound. The whistle helped him recover a few of the senses he’d lost from the brutal takedown he’d experienced only a moment ago. Once the sound ended he turned back to the opponent Renamon who was still there but out of the corner of his eye he could see Ven coming towards her, this leaving him to focus on someone else.
The black dinosaur digimon would leap high into the air preparing his next attack, Aeon reeling his head back before unleashing a breath of what seemed to be a mix of black fire and corrupted smoke against none other than the lopmon. Another well-known attack of the guilmon species it was his devastating virus breath. The wave was large as it flew towards the pink eared digimon. Aeon would fall back to the ground following the wave of energy he emitted, landing farther from the renamon and closer to the Lopmon this time around. Kei at this point would cross his arms watching the battle anxiously as the tail of his blue over coat would pick up with the breeze rolling though.
(I broke this post off into parts so they all end up in the same place I just start from the top each time so I’ll list the events in order here) -Dust Cloud Clears -Veemon is hit by tornado -Veemon knocked to edge of the stage, has to climb back on. -Aeon is dominated by power paw -Veemon regains his footing dashes at Renamon with V-shot -Xia uses critical bite (Extremely tired) -Kei whistles -Xia is knocked out her drowsy stupor -Aeon regains a bit of his senses -Ven is confused and stops his charge -Ven resumes charge at Renamon attempting to use V-shot -Aeon Jump unleashes Virus breath on Lopmon -Xia on standby

move tiger pick up your paws and let's dance | kei may have been over there getting high off life or battle or whatever it was that he had picked off the ground and started smoking, but bunny was sort of actually choking on the dust particles that had been blown his way. didn't really get him up there like adrenaline did but surely this caused just as much lung disease as whatever kei was on. hopefully the digital world had something so that when he tried to breath he wouldn't choke on particulate matter and he'd be alright. if such a thing didn't exist then he could always press charges for kei's digimon thinking it was cool to blow up the stage they were standing on. bunny raised his hand to his mouth, making his hand into a fist and coughing into it. maybe if he was lucky he'd get high on life like kei was second-hand, but he wasn't sure it worked like that at all. looking up, his golden-brown eyes regained a twinkle that had been lost momentarily as he attempted to expel from his lungs get-high-off-life-in-exchange-for-lung-cancer essence. the dust cloud was fading fast, which he guessed was the work of the vortex that had probably come from sol. he was pleasantly surprised that sol had managed to do something given lopmon were a dime a dozen and didn't do much on their own volition. not only did she launch a vortex to clear the dust, it was also aiming at an enemy digimon.
bunny, at that point, was quite sure that the blue thing with the massive forehead genuinely had a desire to get itself killed. maybe headbutting tornadoes was actually a good idea in some situations but this was probably not one of them. either lopmon was a genius mind-controller that made the veemon charge at the tornado with some exertion of her massive swag, or he shouldn't accredit lopmon at all for it was veemon's fault that this attack was even successful. as a new set of instruments dropped into the song, the veemon was carried to the edge of the platform like any good music video you've ever seen, if the music videos you watch are directed by michael bay. it even seemed to clear the platform, so with any luck bunny wouldn't have to deal with that digimon anymore. he smirked and looked at sol whom proceeded to do a little jig in celebration. bunny wasn't one to reprimand dancing, especially since sol wasn't a g or anything so she could do more than just bob her head. he looked back to the edge of the cliff. hopefully that veemon didn't come back.
renamon was all up in aeon's grill. he couldn't tell how successful it was, but if he had to guess it seemed like she was steamrolling him with her fists like the ninja she was. ven may have been the one that was tripping trying to get her attention, but it was aeon that was getting her paws all over him. luna simply did not play, and that was evidenced by just how persistent she was at pummeling the thing like he had violated her beauty or something. finally the painful attack was over, and it was in fact painful to watch, and the thing just stood there in a daze. that would have been cool and all, but suddenly the veemon which bunny thought had plummeted so its death was all over her like she owed him something. bunny just sort of took a step back even though he was far enough as is, not trying to be a part of these digimon completely wrecking each other with no regard for anything. he was waiting for one of them to skip street rules and pull a knife or a gun or something, but he didn't think digimon were like that. they always fought first. it was charging and charging, about to run right over the renamon.
and then bunny got an earful of death in the form of sound waves.
well damn. that was loud. bunny cringed at the noise, reaching up to pull of his headphones in case that is what made that noise. like, why were banshees floating around the digital world like they owned this place? why was neji screaming from the underworld and why was it somehow transcending dimensions in order to be heard here? why was he somehow capable of hearing dog whistles all of a sudden and why were there so many of them? these questions are all very good questions but luckily, as bunny raised his hands to cover his ears, he looked up to see who produced the noise. kei apparently had in his position a dog whistle, a dog whistle which happened to be lodged within his windpipe at his disposal. maybe dog whistles were digimons' weakness. they were animals after all. that would be a pretty lame kryptonite. but seriously though, kids got shot for doing annoying things like that. that's how people die, you know? someone makes that noise, someone's eardrums get blown out, and that someone is packing some heat and shoots up the nearest store to avenge their lost eardrum. do some research before you whistle.
"can you not? that's how people get shot, bruh."
however, i guess the real impact was digimon. apparently the liormon, impacted by the sleep waves, was able to snap back awake from this whistle. thank god that kei was capable of whistling like a champ or else that thing would be dead. bunny really couldn't even whistle, like it took him forever to get the lazy song down and that is the full extent of his abilities. when kei got to whistling things got real though. not only did xia wake up like that whistle was its mating call, the black dinosaur thing also thought that the noise was the sound of jesus' second coming so it sat up in a hurry like it didn't just get beaten to death by a bipedal fox. at least the forehead-blue-thing seemed phased by it, so he felt as if he could actually relate to that thing. it was like a brother to him, except it was mauling renamon from behind. and he wasn't exactly into that so he may have to disown that thing as his brother. sol was busy banging her forehead into the ground trying to make herself bleed so that a lack of consciousness would distract her, but quickly stopped as the whistle faded. phascomon didn't seem phased, and renamon had stopped cold and raised her paws to her ears as she had very sensitive hearing.
it's a good thing that liormon had a lunge of about 20 feet because the twenty feet gap between phascomon and liormon had remained at that distance up until the moment when it pounced from that far. not only was this liormon going superman like that was a thing that lions did, it was trying to bite phascomon. i understand you gotta eat and you are dealing with belonging to a dude named key, but trying to hunt down cute koala bears isn't the way to do that. koalas are going extinct or something, aren't they? bunny felt his heart sink as the liormon got within range of his phascomon. luckily, his digimon was quick enough on its feet to launch itself off the side of the platform with the speed-increasing effects of the red aura. its tiny wings may have been small, but they were more than enough to carry the digimon back up into the air onto the platform. sticking his paws back down into the rocky terrain, astra found that the liormon was nowhere to be found. because not only could it lunge 20 feet forward, it could also strafe backwards at godspeed. those were some convenient abilities, but luckily they hadn't proved useful against astra. astra was prepared to go ape on that liormon, too, its a shame that it had gotten away.
renamon was finally mauled from behind, which was a long time coming and only delayed by the whistle. her body lurched forward uncontrollably at the heavy impact from the headbutt, her balance being lost as she was thrown forward towards the edge of the platform on kei's side. skidding against the ground, she managed to get her paws underneath her and pull herself up a little. her lower back ached with pain. or maybe renamon had a kidney stone, bunny didn't really know. either way, after rubbing her back with her own paw she thrust her arm against the ground and stood up on her two feet. panting a little bit, she turned around to see the rest of the battle. that ven thing that had been hitting on her was quick to get an attack on her. a little two-faced, but he had to do what he had to to win. she'd handle it. she dragged her legs beneath her forward, watching as the rest of the battle unveiled and waiting for her chance to strike. the next few seconds passed by incredibly slow for luna whose lower back was in extreme pain.
bunny had observed luna take the hit, but honestly thought that it would be fine. astra the phascomon had managed to keep himself in the fight by dodging liormon's critical bite, which was also very impressive even if that was sort of expected from someone like astra. sol was the one that he was really worried about, and for good reason. the digimon had been beating its head against the ground and was now being attacked by the blackguilmon which jumped forward after having received its beating from luna. sol staggered a few steps back, her eyes widening with fear as she hopelessly waited for the attack to connect. renamon, far from this action, stumbled a step forward and extended her paw out like maybe she would gain a burst of speed and be able to reach her comrade. she did not commit this heroic, instead she only took another limp step forward knowing she couldn't save sol from the potential of heavy damage. "sol!" bunny yelled over his music.
sol was slammed with some breath, which is a sad way of wording it but apparently things like that can happen. ironically she actually lost her breath at this moment, struggling to breath for a bit as the deteriorating attack began to gnaw away at her body. corrupted smoke washed over her, bathing her in damage and causing her stamina to rapidly deplete. flames within the smoke did the rest of the work, singing her body all over and causing her to fall onto the ground a mess. "sol get up!" bunny called out again, knowing that renamon being the only guardian of his digimon was sort of incapacitated at the moment. cursing under his breath, bunny decided that perhaps lopmon was a lost cause in this battle and his focus should be on his other digimon. unfortunately this meant that he was at an early disadvantage, what with it now being a 2v3 situation because sol couldn't stand up to the opposition. he wished he could have said this was a minor setback, but lopmon was so cute and cuddly... it was hard to see it fall like that without ever putting up much of a fight at all.
phascomon didn't exactly know what it was expected to do. usually its sleepy snore ability would have its opponent out of the fight and using its paralyzing and damaging abilities would be right around the corner. perhaps without the success of that attack it should merely try again to put the digimon out of commission? astra looked over to its left, seeing the lopmon laying on the ground bathed in smoke. seemed like she was living that good life. astra turned his head back forward with a sigh, seemingly out of its usual vicious mood for one reason or another. bunny didn't notice this, however, so it didn't feel pressured to kick it into gear or anything. phascomon flicked its eyes closed, preparing to create the energy necessary to use another sleepy snore. apparently it decided against this for whatever reason, and opened its eyes to stare at the leormon instead without launching a sleepy snore. astra got into a battle ready position, his wings flapping threateningly as he waited instead to counter the enemy liormon whom it was still in a stalemate with.
renamon's eyes, usually almost slits, had shot open as it saw the lopmon fall onto the ground defeated. luna felt as if she had failed by letting one of her friends fall, but couldn't let that stand in her way of defending bunny and bunny's honor. using motivation found from seeing sol's defeat, she cast her gaze over to the veemon which was being annoying. instead of aiming for the blackguilmon, she thought instead that she should work on dishing out some damage to that thing that had headbutt her in the back. kicking off the ground, renamon once more gave herself elevation superiority in order to aid herself in attacking the enemy. doing a flip in the air, the digimon managed to completely stop itself in mid air as light shards appeared all around her body. "diamond storm!" the digimon announced as the shards grouped up more and more around her body. crossing her arms in front of her, all of the shards shot down towards the veemon with incredible force. afterward, luna would fall to the ground with a lot of her remaining energy used in that attempted blow.
sol was twitching. maybe it was chance or maybe she was finding energy within herself, believing in the heart of the cards, or finding the pharaoh's treasure in the pyramid. whatever it was, her eyes opened. realizing where she was and what was happening, sol climbed to her feet with all but a little of her energy. that... blackguilmon. it was the ugliest thing she had ever seen, even uglier than the other lopmon she had seen and even uglier than sin from final fantasy X. breathing in like it was the last breath she'd ever take, she created a duo of supercooled air bullet within her mouth. nearly falling over, she launched these bullets at the blackguilmon in a last ditch effort to make some more impact on this battle. unfortunately, after this, sol did in fact fall over and landed face first on the ground.
bunny recognized that sol was a gangster. a real gangster. seriously. the realest.

Further into the Darkness Aeon, metaphorically, just steel armed a digimon around 3 times smaller than him and about 5 times cuter but if you asked he gave half a damn. He’d answer like any pimp named slickback would. It wasn’t because he was the coldest cruelest digimon in this world or because he even disliked the puffy brown eared digimon. The reasoning was simple as anyone who’d seen or attended videogame highschool would know,
“It’s all about the game.”
In this case the game just happened to beating the brown puffball half way to kingdom come. It was still the game and the digimon could have been left worse off. It was true the long eared digmon, although beaten and smelling a bit burnt after that last attack, laid face first in the ground it hadn’t been deleted so he’d be alright after a bit of rest. Kei watched the almost smoldering body of the taken down digimon mumbling “Well, shit.” He averted his eyes after a moment or two. At least that one was out for the count now. Was this what digimon truly enjoyed doing to each other? This is their game and this was the only way to really get stronger. It wasn’t alright. In fact it was the exact opposite alright. It was screwed up, it made sense, but it was still screwed up. This was how people got stronger in the real world as well. I mean look at Mike Tyson. That man’s muscles could literally stop bullets but at some point in his life in order to get that far he had to bite off a man’s ear. Knowing all this, Kei decided to focus on the ongoing battle. The one that’d already fallen would have to be dealt with by Bunny. After all, it was his fallen.
Speaking of whom, he’d glance at the boy who seemed to be planning or analyzing something. Did the tamer have something up his sleeve or was he second guessing himself? Perhaps he was thinking of a way to grab the Lopmon from the field to make sure it wasn’t injured further or deciding to overlook the lopmon and focus on who he had remaining. No one could really say other than Bunny himself. It was strange how quickly emotions could change. Only a moment ago was the tamer cracking jokes and shooting of sarcastic remarks, most of which he had to admit were pretty funny, but now the tamer looked to be in a stupor; stuck in his thoughts while he digimon continued to wage war against each other. Kei looked over the fellow tamer once more briefly before turning his own attention back to the fight still worried about Aeon.
The black dinosaur digimon was running low on energy with the constant attacks fire and the severe damage he’d taken from Renamon earlier. It wasn’t looking good. If the black digimon wasn’t careful he’d be the next to end up on the ground smoldering like the one he’d taken down only a moment ago. The digimon fell on a knee for a moment to rest. He knew he didn’t have much left in him so he’d go for one final attack, a Pyro Grenade from a range towards Renamon. Veemon seemed like they’d be doing a close quarter fight thus it’d be too dangerous to really launch that particular attack at them but on the other hand Xia’s fight was a bit more open and ranged if only for the koala flying around. Yeah he’d try and catch that one off guard, and Xia could land the finishing blow. It was a good plan and one that secured the win as long as the other two didn’t botch the rest. Aeon was still wary about his teammates, after all they were never really concerned with fighting other than Ven on occasion and even then the blue digimon was too distracted by females to truly commit himself to battle. It was a shame as the digimon had a great deal of latent power, or at least Aeon thought so. He’d be caught dead before he admitted anything of the sort though.
And so the digimon whilst on a knee aimed himself away from the fallen lopmon and began to charge his final attack, the digimon would open his mouth a black aura emitting from it. It only took around 5 seconds to prepare the final attack, but just as he was about to launch it he felt pain erupt from his back side.
It seemed like a certain brown pain in the ass wasn’t ready to quit. Somehow managing to just unleash a barrage of bullet like wind pellets at the shadow guilmon. See if they were normal wind pellets Aeon might have stood a chance, but just as Bunny’s luck would show they weren’t just normal pellets. They were icy wind pellets and both dragon and dinosaur type digimon didn’t like ice or any variation of it. So this is now pokemon apparently. Aeon would call it ironic that the long eared digimon managed to overcome him with a final attack after having taken the literal ‘most’. It was like some bullshit fantasy game. The big bad Aeon was Sin, the most glorious beautiful sky whale in existence, possibly because he was the only one. Sin usually just flew around the world minding his own damn business, destroying civilizations and people every once in a while because that’s what sky whales typically did in their off time. They terrorized civilizations of the world, it was in his blood he couldn’t help it, but of course some hero, in this case the lopmon, just couldn’t let a sky whale live his life. Some whiny, spunky, dancing hero with catchy theme music, daddy issues, and an eye for stupid ass underwater sports has to come along and end his life. Why? Because he killed a couple hundred thousand people. It was still no excuse to cause the extinction of an entire race. The worst part being the hero isn’t even doing it for the people. He’s doing it to get back at his pops for being the best dad ever. And just as all fourteen of those fantasies have ended (excluding XIII-2 because that was some bullshit) the hero ends up coming out on top if only barely.
Oh, but wait it, seemed like the fun wasn’t over just yet. Although the black flame digimon had fallen unconscious his energy didn’t evaporate, oh no because energy just didn’t do that. He wasn’t a reactor that could be shut down. He was a semi-living, breathing creature and the Pyro grenade he was about to launch just as he fell backwards. The back flame shot would literally explode from his mouth flying directly into the sky…. Or at least it would have if the plateau bunny had jumped off for wasn’t in that exact direction. Needless to say the shot of energy made contact with the stone and just as Pyro-Grenade was engineered to do, the blast of fire explode as it made contact with the rock. This in turn caused large pieces of stone from the underside of the above platform to break off and begin falling along with small shrapnel like pieces of flames from the initial attack. Even when unconscious Aeon couldn’t let the little hero get off that easy, even if he’d already been knocked out.
Kei couldn’t help but groan at this point as flames and rocks would fall on everybody, himself and Bunny included yet the unconscious digimon looked strangely peaceful. He went out with a bang that much was for damn sure, but it wasn’t exactly helping anyone at the moment. However while all this was going on, Ven and Renamon were also committing to their own destructive tango that truthfully, “ain’t nobody had time for” at this point.
Ven’s headbutt had been successful dominating the renamon’s lower back. Ven didn’t do well when it came to fighting females. He could rarely ever bring himself to do it; he’d attacked last time because she was smashing Aeon like shaft (who in his most recent movie was played by Micheal Cera) smashed corner hoes. He’d reacted out of instinct to protect his friend but now he was face to face, and soon to be face to fist, with a diva digimon that already knew he had a thing for her. “A fine mess I got myself into this time, wonderful.” He couldn’t help but chuckle at his little joke. After all, it was a mess and she was pretty fine in his eyes at least. He made note to tell Kei to write that one down later as if he didn’t have bigger problems to worry about. Ven eyed the Renamon warily as her back ached. He didn’t know if he should take advantage of this and continue fighting her or wait until she regained her bearings. He was about to ask himself what Aeon would do, before quickly remembering, “Hey Aeon’s an asshole. He probably shouldn’t be my role model.” After another brief moment of consideration, he noticed the Renamon was probably staring right past him much more concerned with her ally who Aeon seemed to be frying not so appropriately. He could only see them out of the corner of his eye, but this was a prime reason for Ven not to model himself after the dark scaled battle ready digimon. Renamon seemed a bit more than shocked at what’d happen. He could swear he saw three emotions flash through her eyes before finally deciding on one. Unluckily for him, it was the one that was dedicated to kicking his ass. He had one remark before Renamon literally went ‘beast mode’ on his sorry tail.
“Aeon, you’re the worst wingman ever.”
Renamon jumped in the air, majestically as only Renamon could, flipping and twirling before stopping herself in mid-air completely disregarding gravity entirely (rude) and finally unleashing her signature move, the one thing Kei really didn’t want to see happen. “Diamond Storm.” Now let me tell you something about ‘diamond storm’, it fucking sucks. Especially when it came to dragons, Dinosaurs and really any variation of lizard in any universe. It was categorized as an Ice technique of sorts and going from that logic lizards all across the universe and various others seem to, A: Like fire and B: hate ice. So seeing as Ven in his most basic form was a lizard regardless if he was a dinosaur or dragon, when the crystal shards of death impaled him he was less than a happy camper. In his last line of defense, he brought his arms up and crossed them a feeble attempt to guard the onslaught that was coming.
As stated the icy arrows of doom did come and impale most of his body, his legs riddled with the shards. In all of his pain he could only wonder if this was what acupuncture felt like. Maybe once he managed to remove the hundreds of pieces of glass in his ass he’d reach some kind of nirvana made specifically for digimon. The chances were highly unlikely but hey, a digimon could dream right? As the attack finished Ven let his arms drop. One would think after making their initial impact the shards would just disappear and fade or evaporate or something of the like. Well then ‘one’ would be wrong because they kind of just sat there resting in his scales. The only portion of his body left virtually unscathed was really his face. Thanks to that final guard he’d managed to protect a good portion of face, in particular his eyes. His forehead was pretty screwed up and his cheeks had more than a few scratches on them, but his face looked alright compared to the rest of his body. The digimon trudged forward still conscious from the attack. The blond fox digimon was left extremely weary after finishing that attack. Ven trudged forward literally sliding his feet against the dirt to move forward dare he left a leg and allow pain to flood his system once more with all those crystal-esque shards deeply rooted in his legs. And so he trudged forward to meet the weary renamon. It wouldn’t take much at this point one headbutt was all he needed to finish the job right?
His eyes twitched a bit. He was heading in and out of consciousness but he’d meet the fox’s eyes once more before finally deciding on a plan of action. “Kei, sorry but bump this.” The digimon opened his mouth to speak, “D-D-Date.” With those words the digimon would fall forward hitting the dirt face first completely unconscious. As the digimon fell out an explosion would be heard from above rock and fire would begin to fall upon the two digimon.
Now we switch to Xia who for the last five minutes or so was preparing a new technique, or rather plan, to take down her opponent who seemed to fly away whenever she got close. Critical bite took too long to prepare and was too choreographed to really make use of against an opponent like this. She’d thought phascomon were supposed slow quiet digimon who flew on occasion, but low and behold she was dead wrong. Her claws began to light up as the phascomon landed once again after having dodged her initial critical bite. She thought he’d revert to his sleep tactics again but the digimon decided against it in the end, most likely due to the fact her tamer was some kind of human banshee in disguise. Something she was actually pretty thankful for at the moment. There was no reason to sneak as the two were obviously focused on each other so she’d simply just slowly crouch and approach the demonic digimon slowly her paws glowing.
Once within a decent range she’d pounce at the dark blood digimon. Note: she pounced. She did not leap because lady lions pounce and she was a lady. She attempted to slash the opposing digimon with her claws and regardless of whether or not she made contact she’d be knocked back by a falling rock. The digimon was too focused on capturing her prey and she’d failed to notice or even care about the explosion this time around thus the rock managed to clip her and pretty painfully at that. Regardless the digimon would push herself back up. She was limping a bit but still more than capable of continuing the fight. She more worried about her teammates at this point than anything else seeing as the sky had begun to fall on them.
Kei on the other hand was more than a bit anxious, he was worried. He’d begun to make his way out onto the battle field to grab Aeon who obviously was done fighting. With the field above falling apart, he felt it was time to start wrapping this up. He kinda wished he had little orbs to recall his digimon into. They could be red and white and shrink so they’d be easy to carry. He’d send that Idea to the beta workers later he’d call the idea ‘digiorbs’. Said idea could wait for now seeing as he had two digimon to grab. He made his way to Aeon, lifting the heavy ass dinosaur by his arms before using his shoulder as a lever of sorts and dragging him out of the line of direct fire. As he walked a small tuft of flame hit the tail of his coat, singing it slightly. He cursed under his breath this was one of his favorite coats. Once he dragged the guilmon. He’d glance at Bunny.
“You wanna continue?” he’d call across the plateau neutrally. If the man wanted to finish this up they could but it seemed like this area was becoming less stable with each passing minute.

move tiger pick up your paws and let's dance | sigh. your spirit over there has jokes, that's cool, but this was a little serious. bunny's eyelids pressed down, a little scared to open them and look down at what he knew he would see there. his hand, tucked away in his jacket pocket, found its way around the sides of his ipod. bunny subconsciously awakened the device and slid his thumb across the bottom of the smooth screen, raising the volume to the deafening tone at which he found himself most comfortable. as a bunny, he didn't actually have a shell nor was he made for anything much else than being hunted, but he found at least that his mind was relatively safe with the fragile shell of music around it. it was like a little moment of silence for sol, and it would have continued hadn't bunny given up on keeping his usual composition. everyone stared at a car crash; sort of human nature to stare at it in fascination as you drive by. g's that weren't busy holding up the wall, though, they'd probably go help. or so bunny would rationalize to himself as his eyes opened and fell upon sol the lopmon. he pulled his headphones down to around his neck.
so the bunny power walked over to the brown rabbit. you can only look so casual during the action of power walking, but whatever. bunny wasn't the guy in the goggles, he didn't have to look so cool doing everything as the main character. he probably wouldn't get much screen time anyway. reaching the lopmon, his eyes made their way up to kei whom was still quite far away as the action around him was conducted. as bunny stood over a fainted lopmon, kei looked pretty smug, standing there like a black spiderman with his nose in the air knowing damn well that he was better than white shaft. where was andrew garfield when you needed him to skateboard right into that kid and leave him on the ground like sol? he drew his hands from his jacket pockets, crouching down to the lopmon. her eyes had since closed and her fur looked even more ruffled and singed. he wasn't a doctor but she looked like the product of any of the surgeries in surgeon simulator 2013, breathing and living only because she had a new heart but devoid of any other organ that sustained her life.
it's a good thing that bunny happened to have great maternal instinct, and by that i mean he had no idea of what he was doing now. "y'aight?" first, he brushed down some of her fur because she didn't actually look that cute with all of her fur sticking in random directions like that. the cuteness being partially restored directed him into his action, which was to drag his finger lightly upward against her eyelid to try to see her eye. he didn't know what to expect from this, but maybe it would irritate her enough that she would wake up. on the same thought, he poked at the pads on her paws and attempted to entwine his fingers with her paw which doesn't actually work too well. finally she mustered the enemy to twitch a little, and her mouth even opened. she sang, "s-some daaaayy iii wiiill.." wait wait wait.
"be strong eeenouuugh.." sol coughed a little bit, her mouth curling up in a bit of a smile as she weakly continued in a musical voice. "to liift, not one. buuut. booooth of uuuusss." bunny chuckled, his hand raising up to his face as he was still crouched over her. in the event that you are not familiar, that was an exact quote from taylor swift. where sol differed from sin was that she was not up here rapping and talking all this stuff about your digimon because she was real as evidenced by her singing some taylor swift for us. and since she was so real your little aeon over there might need to get some id to be noticed. "is my music really that loud?" he quickly fixed that. he was cool with sol singing and whatever but he was afraid she might get up and start filming a music video and nobody had time for her teleporting around the world and reconfiguring time just so she could have a decent video to her taylor swift cover.
meanwhile luna's eyes had been met by the blue forehead thing. date? she put her nose up literally at the thing, obviously not impressed in the slightest. the pain in her lower back made snubbing this thing especially easily. "i apologize. my standards have increased slightly." it fell to the ground, which pleased her. she blinked, surprised that it had gone down so easily. she wasn't looking for a challenge, that was in no way her thing. it was merely that she expected more resistance, but it was like ven's defense was practically halved by luna. shortly afterward, what sounded almost akin to an eruption was heard above her. renamon, being as she was, was the very first to react to this. even bunny, whom had momentarily glanced up from the lopmon whose eyes closed again did not catch on to the fact that the digimon he was staring at had launched another blast into the air.
he looked back down, somehow surprised when he heard the explosion above him. oh right you probably want to know how astra reacted. but he sort of didn't. that's right, he sat there like this was all part of his plan like some sort of aizen. if that liormon didn't come close soon, he would have to go over there and rip another orifice or two into it. his brother koala inaku would do the same thing, for sure. bunny wrapped his arms around the side of the lopmon, creating a human sheltering over her (like the incredible hulk did). of course, as the rock above him began to collapse in the form of quite large debris, it didn't take long for luna to respond. with her opponent handled, she charged a few steps forward before kicking it into gear and closing the gap between her and bunny in a blink. as luna mimicked his previous action or lopmon, it prompted bunny to get off his knees and return to standing as straight as he ever did with his casual slouch. he was struck by a piece of rock debris, cringing but hiding the pain that shot through his shoulder.
flame scattered about the field, a couple embers laying across phascomon which he ignored as they died out pretty quickly. perfect, that liormon was finally attacking him and this time he planned to directly counter for it was not worth any further preparation. from a glance to the left he noticed that his comrades that handled their digimon well and that he was actually behind. yes, such a perfect chance to counter. this kind of shot comes once... another opportunity of a lifetime just slipped away and that's the fifth this month. if he was lucky this liormon would take the punch, get up, and put one foot in front of the next until he could clobber it to death. this, unfortunately, did not happen. well that seemed to be the end, how boring.
kei had dragged his digimon back and now called out for the battle to end. bunny thought it over for a moment, making eye contact with luna. her expression read, "mmm," like she was judging him for even considering that. "who gon' stop me?" bunny called out sarcastically to challenge the patience of kei. his laughing was halted by a sharp glare from luna. astra accepted his words as an excuse to charge that liormon, but luna managed that as well with a glare. "nah but seriously, you cool bro. i'll back off, you totally owe me doe for sparin' you or whatever." he pulled his hood up. astra came up to his side, the three of them standing around the fallen lopmon.
"gimme yer number," bunny spoke in a tone that reflected just how not-serious such a favor would be. if anything, he might just want someone to kick back with or medicate himself herbally, whatever it was he doubted he'd actually need this dude's help for real.

Further into the Darkness If one thing and one thing alone was certain then it was that this bunny kid definitely had jokes, if nothing else. Kei originally wasn’t sure if the kid was focusing or freaking out, falling completely into his music like that. Kei usually did the same when he wanted to ignore people and… well everything around him. You had to do that when your step mother was the true definition of evil bitch and your father couldn’t give less of a damn. This wasn’t to say Kei was not some normal Cinderella, no in fact he was an extra special extraordinary Cinderella who was known for doing what he wanted and letting no one stop him, which in a way was still a basic Cinderella in the long run but we weren’t going to sweat those details. After all, no one had the time for that especially not right now seeing as their entire battle field was beginning to crumble around them. As Kei managed to grab the giant black guilmon, swing the digimon over his shoulder and hoping the big bastard would wake up soon, Bunny managed to make his way to his lopmon and pretty briskly at that. The kid didn’t seem to let his façade down even when his digimon was immediate danger. The dedication behind this kid was something else in a way it was pretty laughable. In another it was kind of impressive. Guess teenagers were known for their stubbornness.
If he could Kei would shrug but due to the dinosaur he was slowly dragging back, he couldn’t make use of his shoulders even if he tried. Bunny managed to retrieve his lopmon before the piece of earth crashed where it once lied almost lifeless. Kei grumbled to himself as the tamer’s made moved or really while Bunny moved and Kei struggled away. Why couldn’t Aeon weigh as much as the lopmon? No, he had to go with the giant black moody dinosaur. “Sometimes you’re more trouble than you’re worth, I hope you know that.” He’d say aloud only for the black dinosaur to respond despite his rather grievous injuries, shuffling a bit for a moment before managing to finally speak up. “You’re no walk in the park either sunshine.” Slowly Kei continued moving with the digimon, now limping and using his shoulder as a leaning post to support his body. These digimon were much more alive than those scientists knew, that was for sure. “If you have the energy to talk shit then you have the energy to walk. You know that right?” Kei spoke up once again. Of course he wouldn’t let the black digimon down just yet, but he could really go without the mouth for the moment. Aeon taking a hint continued to move on with his tamer silently until Kei felt he was safe enough to let him down. After all he had a second digimon to grab.
Ven laid in the dirt face down, he’d failed two times over in fighting for his tamer and winning the girl. It was like a bad romantic comedy, then again he could only blame himself headbutting a girl in her lower back. Wasn’t exactly the best “Baby I love you.” material. I mean he thought showing off a bit of strength would give her a higher opinion of him but in the end it just backfired like the majority of his plans to pick up women. After having been turned down this many times by multiple girls he was beginning to think he wasn’t quite the player he thought he was. As the digimon laid face down in the dirt, barely conscious, he had just enough energy to roll out of the way of a pretty large stone about to fall on them. Luna managed to get away pretty easily leaving him to die. Whatever, no worries. It was cool. He’d just catch up with her a little bit later, you know when he could finally move his legs and other limbs. He’d find his way into her heart yet. But first thing was first, how was the digimon going to get himself out of this situation?
Answer?
He wasn’t. He was going to lay there as finally the crystal leaves evaporated from his body. At least that was one problem outta the way for now. Why they took so long to disappear he had no godly idea, but at least they were gone now. As he began slipping in and out of consciousness he heard footsteps coming towards him. Finally his love was coming back for him. Maybe he got a little bit of leverage in with the fox digimon after all. Hell he’d gotten so excited that the digimon began to speak. “ I Knew, you’d comeback for me baby. Now how about we go on a real da-“ Kei looked down at the digimon an eyebrow raised, “Enough energy to flirt, but not enough to fight. Sorry to disappoint Ven.”
The blue dragon wasn’t even embarrassed at this point, just disappointed. “Whatever man, just get me outta here.” “I gotta say if anything at all you’re one tenacious little dragon.” Kei couldn’t help but smirk at his digimon in the way only a main character would, probably because of the goggles. It was always because of the goggles in the end. “I don’t wanna hear it right now.” First Aeon, now Ven. He’d definitely chosen a couple of smartass digimon that much was certain. Ven was silent as Kei jogged back making sure to avoid any more of the falling rocks. The platform they stood on was beginning to crack, with all the debris falling it seemed to be cracking even the ground they stood on. Kei needed to step it up or no one would be making it out. Aeon had begun making his way across the bridge to another platform. The digimon may not have been kind, but at least he was proactive about this entire fiasco.
As he made it to the edge of the platform, Aeon seemed about halfway across before he could begin. There was one final digimon he had to grab. Thankfully this one hadn’t been beaten down half as badly as the other two. Xia who’d previously been busy fighting a certain demon koala as usual had gotten too caught up in the actual battle to actually know what was going on around her until it was too late. Last he’d seen of the digimon, she’d been hit by a falling rock and actually pretty annoyed. Currently she was blaming her own fault on the phascomon. Just as she was preparing another Leo Claw she received the order to retreat from Kei. She muttered something under her breath before eying the lazy demon digimon obviously annoyed by him. Xia who was known by her teammates to be calm kind, and almost motherly to the three, was known to be quite the demon herself when angry, and so when she got the order to back off she looked at phascomon in his eyes,
In the windows of his soul with a fury only known to women everywhere, she yelled. “Yggdrasil help me, if see you alone in the streets your dead.” With that the lioness digimon pounced away, avoiding any of the serious breaks in the platform or any rocks falling from above gracefully because once again she was a lady and ladies were graceful. In moments she’d made it to her tamer and begun her way across the bridge. Before he could finally turn to leave his opponent had one last thing to say.
“Whatever, kid.” Kei laughed at the opposing tamer before turning to head off, “Anyways the number’s ‘7’ hit me up whenever. You’re not so bad I guess.” Kei, as strange as it was, took a liking to the younger tamer. Who knew? Maybe with this the tamer would become a main character.
