This guy was so rude. She didn't remember him being this way when she first met him though she didn't quite remember a lot of that day outside those painful memories all too well. It was funny like that, sick as that humor may be. She could hear him following behind her, or at least could hear the noise of his larger Digimons footsteps; she wanted this little event to be over, especially if he was going to act like such an ass. Who was he to assume she didn't have any friends, it was bad enough to think such a thing about a person let alone say it out loud. Making sure to stay at least a few steps ahead of the dark haired boy Kate barely heard the small sentence he spoke, her mind too caught up in flustered thoughts to really analyze the words until the champion Digimon appeared.

It was the noise of the rustling it made and then the aroma it gave off that hit her senses and made her turn, she had even blocked out the growling off her three companions who had smelt something in the air. Man was she not on her game, maybe it was whatever she had took in that the boy gave to her. Looking towards the boy as he pulled out Digivice and spoke up about what he read Kate glanced back towards the creature that had appeared. It was a rather ugly looking think, creepy too though she liked its coloration just a bit. Opening her mouth to ask what they should do to take down the beast Kate's expression soured again as she watched the boy call for one of her partners to attack. Her lips formed a frown, eyes rolling as she turned her head away from him. She guessed this wasn't going to be a very team oriented fight.

Keeping quiet she watched the large red lizard charge forward, jumping into the air before launching fireballs at the creature. It was when it landed and backed away that Kate heard the boys sarcastic statement. Glaring at him her hands closed into fists as her annoyance grew by the second; how dare he say such a thing when she was going to suggest some team work! She hadn't been the one to just dart into the fight without saying anything to her! Muttering a small cuss word under her breath Kate watched the end of the Strabimons attack and the champion Digimons rebuttal towards the onslaught of moves down by 2/3rds of the boys team.

Wincing a bit at the sight of the move hitting both Digimon Kate watched the boy send out the little rabbit-dog creature, her expression turning to doubt at the capabilities of such a silly looking Digimon. Appearance wise it wasn't that threatening though maybe she'd be surprised by what it could do. What it did, however, was surely surprising though not very praise worthy. She was stunned such an... attack – if you could even call it that – existed, though as the Champion shook its body and closed its eyes in pain she figured it did something right. As the boy passed the battling baton to her she merely huffed, her eyes still glaring down at him before turning her attention on the blinded Digimon they needed to defeat. “Fine.” she said, glancing down at her already eager pack, “Just know that was rather disgusting, though I guess it did the trick. Next time it'd do you some good to relay a plan to me before going in and attacking. We are a team for this event after all.”

Nodding to her Digimon the three Gabumon sub-species took off from beside her, each heading straight for the Veggiemon before Summer and Nymeria split off, covering the sides while Valar stayed in the middle. The first to attack was the Gabumon X, her arms aiming forward as her long claws glowed red, embers sparking off them from her movements. Launching herself forward she grabbed onto the squirming Veggiemon, her claws digging into the creature for grip before scraping the burning weapons into its plant-like flesh. Still unable to see the Veggiemon whipped it's vine-like arms around, hitting them into the sandy dirt and towards the other two Digimon despite its inability to see.

Dodging the vine Nymeria kept her distance from the thrashing Champion while Valar caught the vine aimed for him in his jaws, biting down on it and delivering some damage with such a basic move before letting go and backing up. Biting down on the Veggiemon as it still clawed at its body Summer glanced up, eying the Psychemon as it released its jaws before letting go completely and hitting the creatures side with its hind legs to give it a push. Using the momentum from the kick the Gabumon X skidded away from the creature as it rolled towards the brightly colored sub-species, a small toothy grin forming on her expression before kicking off the ground.

Slamming its head into the side of the creature its horn stabbed into its body, the energy stored within it leaking into the Veggiemons system before it was taken out. The corrupting data storied inside swept through the creatures inner workings; though its blinding from the Neemons move was effective such an effect wouldn't last for too long. The attack delivered by the Psychemon, however, would take care of it for some time and give them more time to strike without worrying of getting hit too much. A cry of pain erupted from the plant Digimon as the horn released from its body, the initial pain hitting it before the rush of nausea took over. Trying to defend itself from its new attackers the champion squinted its still blurry eyes, its vision doubling everything it saw in a twisted work of headache induced confusion.

Hitting the Veggiemon on the side with hit's claws the impact pushed the stumbling creature away from the Psychemons body before it jumped back for distance; with its new found position the champion shook its body, tilting to the left and right before locking onto the dark BlackGabumon in front of it. Launching its vine arms at the BlackGabumon the end of its appendages sprang with large spikes midway between it and the opponent it was going to attack as it prepared to attack the Digimon with Poison Thorns. Keeping calm and still the Valar watched as the vines quickly came towards him, waiting for the right moment to counter; once it came the Digimon slammed it's claws onto the sandy ground, an eruption of fire billowing from the earth in the form of a wall, shielding the Digimon from the vines and singling them within the fire they were caught in. Retreating its burned arms from the fire the Veggiemon let out small cries of pain and frustration, it was beginning to regain its eyesight to normal levels but whatever the Psychemon had done to it had left it feeling sick and the attacks done by both Tamers Digimon were taking its toll on it.

“It's your go, finish it off.” Kate said, her attention leaving her packs attacks as she turned to look at Koa. She tried to be nice, giving the boy a small smile as she finished her sentence though deep down she knew it was genuine and questioned if it was even convincing. It really didn't matter either way, for now all they needed to care about was taking care of this thing. Her mind blanked again as she turned her head, her movements feeling slower than usual, it was weird, she felt weird or at least not her usual self. Shaking the self-analyzing thoughts she returned her mindset to the problem at hand, silently blaming whatever the boy had given her for the feeling.

still rather annoyed at the comment kate figures they'd take on the digimon as team, only to see the boy attack first with no regards to form a plan with her. furthering her anger with his sarcastic request for her help kate attacks with all three of her digimon when he gives her the go.

all three digimon run towards it, gabumon x and psychemon darting to its sides while blackgabumon stays on the straight coarse. the first to attack is gabumon x who launches itself onto the creature, attacking with SCORCHING GRAPPLE before kicking it in the side to send it towards psychemon. burns on its side and head inflicted, plus damage.

as it tumbles towards it psychemon charges its horn with PSYCHEDELIC CRISIS and once in range launches itself forward and stabbing its horn into the creature. once the corrupting data enters the stream it pulls away, hitting the digimon with its hand to send it away before gaining distance. slight damage done due to stab wound, corrupt data induces nausea, hallucinations and confusion.

getting its eyesight back though the corruption data is taking its toll on its body the digimon attacks blackgabumon using POISON THORNS. waiting for the right moment blackgabumon uses NAPALM PILLAR to block the attack, burning the vines in the process. slight damage and burns done to vine arms, dodge move.

we shall never talk about that one move that never happened.
