The air was thick with the scent of greenery. It wa s a beautiful place, this Palette Amazon, heavy with the sound of wind and the crashing of a waterfall. It was a place for people seeking peace and quiet.
River Fall and her Pack were not in a position to find peace.
They had found shelter in a cluster of vicious, thorny vines, some hardened with age and time, providing them an adequately defensive position as they were besieged. It was not, however, a place from which they could offer much offense. River Fall tucked herself further into the vines, being cautious not to impale herself on the thorns. She pulled Jokabo's prone form further under cover, picking leaves out of the Flamemon's thick hair. Foolish little digimon, too impulsive for his own good. He had gone after their enemy head-on, not taking into account the level of the fiend. He was only knocked a little loopy, currently, and was recovering, or so River Fall assumed, since he seemed to be coming around just a little. That did not change how things were, however; they were stuck here with little help presented to them.
Fargo stood in front of her, growling and glaring out into the surrounding foliage. Only his Sniff-and-Tell had kept them safe thus far, able to locate the Chamelemon if it came too close to them. He was also their only offensive fighter left standing; River Fall would hardly consider Charlie as a fighter at all, despite her intelligence. Aside from that, Fargo made for better defense, anyway. Jokabo was usually their main fighter... River Fall narrowed her eyes. If he hadn't been foolish enough to try and take on the beast without planning or preamble. Had the situation not been so dire, she would have said he'd deserved it. As it stood, however, she was kicking herself for not having stopped him. She had no idea how to handle this 'Tamer' thing. Perhaps she had, before she had forgotten everything; perhaps the girl she had been before, whoever she had was, had understood better how to handle her own digimon team. River Fall felt like she was floundering; not that she would ever admit it.
She cursed and turned around, locating Charlie the Neemon with narrowed eyes. The digimon was hunched over, and her paws were busy. "What're you doin'?" River Fall snapped, and Charlie jolted up a bit, turning her head. "...u-uhm, nothing." she answered. "Just... j-just seeing if I could find a way out..." River Fall huffed and turned, not noticing as Charlie slipped her digivice back into the pocket of her topmost jacket. "Not much use in gettin' out." she grumbled. "Since we can't go nowhere even then. Quit stressin' yourself. When Jokabo wakes up, maybe then we'll think of somethin'."
Charlie nodded, ears pinned back. If only it were that easy. No, for this situation... they needed help. And she hoped that it was coming, soon.

Palette Amazon, such an interesting place. It appeared much like the Amazon in the real world, with it's lush flora and beautiful waters. Naturally however it was as dangerous as the Amazon as well. Who knew what lurked within it's depths. Though beautiful it hid a deep darkness within it, a ugly side that was just barely masked by the land's beauty. While he wished to enjoy the view he had other reasons for being here.
Originally he and his "pack" were here for some exploration but that all changed when he got a peculiar message on his D-Terminal asking for assistance. Not one to turn down a chance to get stronger he quickly addressed his digimon of the current situation as they then departed to the correct area. Susanoo the angel-like vaccine type digimon hovered near the the oddly dressed young man as he leaned in his face just beside his master's as he began to question him.
The other two digimon the aptly named Amaterasu the Kudamon and Tsukiyomi the ModokiBetamon followed just a little ways behind them quietly falling in step. "Master? Why are we helping such weaklings? They are obviously useless to your desires, so we should just let them rot!" Came the cold yet young voice of the Lucemon as his "master" simply smiled. "Ah. Useless they may be Susanoo, but they have attracted a worthy opponent for you to test yourselves on. And that is apart of my goals, to make all of you stronger."
The Lucemon fell silent as they made their way through the dense jungle before finally walking into the clearing where the distress call was made. Sharp grey eyes landed on the four beings within the area whilst his body remained tense knowing that the threat was still there. His digimon were also cautious and were prepared for anything as they walked closer towards the Tamer and her digimon. "Are you alright?" He questioned with false concern. "These thorns are not very beneficial for your health I believe we should flee from this place for now, the enemy is close" With that he waited waiting for the other teen's reaction.

Sharp, furious green eyes stared out at him from underneath her brown hair. She glowered like an angry feral cat, backed up against a corner and furious to see anyone approaching, much less someone as irritating as another human. Behind her, she heard Charlie give a small sigh of relief, and turned to glare at the Neemon . She had definitely had something to do with this... damn the little worrywart. Her eyes snapped back to the boy in front of her. His digimon made her wary, and so did he, some feeling or instinct deep inside that made her press further backwards. River Fall trusted no one, least of all this stranger with his snowy hair and winged digimon, someone she did not know at all. She sneered, one side of her lips pulled up a bit by a thin scar that ran vertically down them.
"Ain't want your help." she snarled out, and Jokabo stirred a bit further as she tugged him further into their shelter. "Get lost! 've got it handled, don't need some weird-ass stranger boy comin' in t'try an' save me when I don't need it. Or want it." she snorted irritably; Fargo turned his attention momentarily to the boy and growled, deep in his chest; then his eyes returned to the surrounding foliage, ears lift just a little as he sniffed and scented. He couldn't see the Chamelemon now; it had retreated far enough back that Sniff-and-Tell could not reach it, but he knew it was there, somewhere, waiting. Perhaps it would be drawn to the new person and his Pack? Maybe not. If it was fixating, there was no way to tell for sure if it's attention would be drawn.
Charlie pinned her ears back. "But, River Fall," she said in her quiet, lilting little voice. "We do need help. Jokabo is..." "Comin' around." River Fall snarled. "An' when he's up we'll think of a plan. S'guy didn't come here for no good reason; no one helps for no good reason. Don't trust him, don't want his help. You," she glowered at the boy, "Best get your sorry ass outta here. Get!"

The snowy haired boy furrowed his eyebrows in false worry. Truly this girl would want his aid against a superior foe? Was she really so daft that she didn't realize that there were strength in numbers? He needed to approach this differently. From what he could see she was very distrusting of him, he didn't know what it was but he felt she could see through his facade... That did worry him, he didn't like being read so easily it made him feel vulnerable. Still, he could muster up some true kindness if he tried pulling on his nearly dormant feelings of losing something "precious" to him. He spoke again his voice and mannerisms showing nearly genuine concern.
"I understand your wariness, but it's not safe here. You won't last long on your own and your digimon- Jokabo was it? It needs to be moved somewhere more secure least you wish further damage dealt to it." Susanoo lingered around the background obviously not liking this closed in thorny place with the inability to stretch his wings. With a small pouty huff he crossed his arms as his light blue eyes scanned for any threats. Amaterasu the Kudamon stayed nearby his tamer while Tsukiyomi the ModokiBetamon wandered off poking at the thorns edges with curiosity.
Holding out a pale unblemished hand towards the homeless girl he smiled a kind smile at her hoping to gain at least her partial trust. "Come. We should leave this place, and quickly before the Chamelemon decides to strike." His tone was gentle but held a firm edge barring no argument. He may not care for her truthfully but he refused to let her just rot there when her digimon could be put to better use and become stronger. If it's one thing he hates it's wasted potential.

River Fall bristled and glowered; this boy was just not getting the picture! "Don't WANT your help." she snarled. "We can handle this by ourselves, y'stupid jackass! Get outta here!" she wanted to be left ALONE! How could he not comprehend that she just wanted him to GO AWAY? Either the rogue pokemon would eventually grow bored with prey that would not provide a chase, or Jokabo would come to his senses, and then they could think of a plan from there. But what she did NOT want was some irritating stranger offering a hand to her! He wasn't doing this out of the goodness of his heart- no one ACTUALLY did things like that. He wanted something. Well, she had nothing to give him,and he would be better off getting lost.
Suddenly Fargo snarled, rocking back on his hind legs. "Good Dog Shield!" he barked, and a blue dome of energy swept up over the thorns. Just as he did so, a long, powerful tongue shot like a harpoon out of nowhere and struck it; the shield flashed with a honeycomb pattern, but it held. The Chamelemon became visible, hiding it's big form in the foliage nearby. It's eyes moved independently of eachother, and it focused one on River Fall and her Pack, and the other on the new, snowy haired youth. It seemed to be trying to decide between them; after a long moment, it snarled out words. "Wide Eyes!" beams of hot energy shot out of both it's eyes; one tore towards either of the two teens.
Fargo shot up a shield again; it only just held against the attack, this time. "Gotta fight!" the dog digimon barked to River Fall, charging forwards slightly. "Gotta fight!" River Fall narrowed her eyes. "Wake up, come on!" she snapped at Jokabo, giving his cheeks a few slaps. The flamemon groaned. "Oooooogh, what happened?"

Wow this girl was extremely stubborn. Well it didn't matter to him anyways the enemy had just decided to make it's self known. Susanoo was the first to react to protect his tamer with a cry of "Shield of Light!" A circular barrier formed in around him as he stood in front of the snowy haired teen. Amaterasu then moved back in waiting for when his abilities were needed as Tsukiyomi then attacked the digimon with his own attack. "Electric Cloud!" He then breathed out a hazy cloud that hovered around the Chamelemon attempting to paralyze it. [sorry for the wait!]
