FIGHTING THE BATTLE OF WHO COULD CARE LESS
| It was scary that Noboru found that this mass of steel, copper and wire was the closest thing to a safehaven for him in the digital world. Machines had logic, they didn't frighten him or make him feel awkward. They could be manipulated, they could be understood so easily and with the press of a few buttons... it wasn't scary or nerve-wracking or awkward to talk to a machine. Computers were logical, humans were illogical, and that scared Noboru more than anything. However, he was human, he could be illogical, and he could be unpredictable at times.
That might be even scarier.
Still, what Noboru and his Digimon were here for wasn't to admire the fine steel halls, the complex gadgets or the unique machines. No, they were on the hunt- the hunt for adventure. There had to be some sort of mechanical digimon worth fighting with...
The Dorumon, Speedy, laughed along with the KuKabuterimon, Rider at some sort of strange joke as the Burgermon, Nomi, rode on the purple beast. They were laughing at some sort of strange joke and their laughter echoed through the steel halls.
"Guys, quiet! Shush!" said Noboru to his digimon, staring daggers at them. They shut up quickly as Noboru took a sigh of annoyance. Stealth rarely worked with this group, the Digimon all loud, energetic and fidgety.
Still, as the Digimon and their Tamer stopped speaking, Noboru swore he could hear something throughout the halls...
Footsteps.
"All right, get ready for whatever's about to hit us."
They nodded, as Noboru jumped out from his cover, grabbing his digivice from his orange hoodie, ready to attack.

"I don't even like factories," Yanmei projected, in a venomously malcontent tone, as the clicks that reverberated throughout the otherwise placid and metallic hallway represented the dainty steps taken by the prissy young blonde. The disappointment illustrated in her vocals was accentuated by the look on her face; traveling alongside her Digimon trio with a furrowed brow and an exaggerated frown, had she really known the basics of how to stomp against the pavement rather than step delicately, it wasn't too far fetched an idea to believe that she would have been doing that instead. Though, she would probably have thought twice about it since she didn't always like acting like a spoiled brat... sometimes it worked out, but usually it made her feel very unsophisticated. And she couldn't be unsophisticated any longer, because she was blossoming into a mature young woman.
"They're, like, too industrial for me. I'm not big on manual labor," She added, bringing down the drama a bit as she made an honest attempt at settling her emotions. She just had so much energy sometimes, and she was struggling lately to learn how to properly direct it. A drama queen such as herself was a person who could get swept up in the moment and act impulsively instead of rationally. Though, in retrospect, perhaps that was the reason why she had a twin brother in the first place. After all, he was quite the opposite; where she was vehement and unreasonable, he was reserved and sensible. ...Not to say that she was all negatives and he was all positives, but perhaps the two had a way of leveling each other out what with their yin and yang dynamic.
"But, I don't know. Good a place as any to go hunting for Digimon though, right? Let's go beat something up," She expounded, eliciting pleased acclaim in the form of sweet hollers from her companions, as they had completely taken to following in the footsteps of their master. Like the combative teen, these characters were easy on the eyes but readily became bullies in their own right with little effort. And it seemed that their master's suggestion came in a very timely manner, being that they were soon facing a male with a Digimon threesome of his own.
"Wow. I guess I'm on it today, huh?" Yanmei inquired jokingly (with a chuckle for good measure), in regards to her somewhat impeccable timing. | | yanny's ready to start a fight.♥ █ #000404 And what rough beast, its hour come round at last, Slouches towards Bethlehem to be born? |

Somehow, Junjie had been ensnared into traveling around the digital realm with his sister. Granted, he wouldn't have cared as much if the place that they were lead to wasn't completely dull. Although he respected technology and understand that the only reason they were currently participating in this game was due to it, he definitely did not inherit his father's talent for engineering and coding. Smugly he would frown at the audible buzzing noises that echoed throughout the factory. His three digimon seemed to be trailing behind Yanmei's, although they were careful to stick close to their owner in case he would call upon them. Idly, Junjie released his blond tresses from the small ponytail, his hair sweeping down onto his lower neck.
"Manual labor is boring, but the harder you work, the better you feel." Junjie added when prompted for discussion by his sister, continuing to walk throughout the factory. It seemed to be silent (for now, it seemed that Junjie had grown accustomed to the buzzing sound and therefore, no longer recognized it) and quiet, save for the sound of Yanmei's harsh footsteps and his gentle, airy ones. Nodding his head curtly as his sister suggested they find some digimon to fight, he followed behind his footsteps. Thankfully due to his height, he was able to notice Noboru prior than she did - and subconsciously his fingers moved close to the digivice he kept within his pocket. Mimicking his sister's chuckle at finding Noboru, Junjie's cerulean eyes focused onto the boy's appearance, carefully taking in him and the surrounding area.
Junjie relaxed his composure once he saw Noboru, however; it was safe to say that Junjie assumed that given the boy's appearance, he wouldn't be much of a threat - for now, anyway. Although his digits still remained inches away from his digivice, he exposed his porcelain teeth and begin to gently bite the flesh of his bottom lip in midst thought. "He doesn't seem like much of a threat, Yanmei." spoke the boy, glancing sideways at his sister through his peripheral vision. At this point in time, he stood next to her whilst his digimon stood behind hers. Bao, his Labramon, managed to stand much closer to his owner compared to his other digimon; its protective, canine nature was being displayed. Although it was placid in movement, it seemed to have lowered its eyes to slits, glaring at Noboru's digimon.
Silent, he idly glanced back from Yanmei to Noboru, waiting for a response from one of the two. Junjie would take note of the random, slightly nauseating, array of algorithms that seemed to have been scribbled all over the walls and were slowly moving as if they were alive. He was curious to touch some of the items that were lined up in an array for display, but he knew better to tamper with something that he didn't know what it was capable of. Junjie is standing beside Yanmei, staring at Noboru whilst discussing the area and talking about Noboru outloud. Junjie has his hand close towards his digivice but is not planning to fight currently. Bao, his Labramon, is not showing any emotion but is alert and glaring towards Noboru's digimon. tags: NOBORU ASAKURA yanmei linCODED BY XIE FOR PERSONAL USE ON CROSSWIRE ONLY

FIGHTING THE BATTLE OF WHO COULD CARE LESS
| Kids these days have no respect. At least, that was what Noboru had thought as he met the source of the footsteps; two blonde teenagers who seemed to twins, or at the very least siblings. Both were fairly attractive, at least by common standards. The way they talked about him as if he wasn't there got on Noboru's nerves. Noboru grit his teeth a bit beneath his lips, leering at the two twins as the conversed. More than anything, Noboru wanted to make them pay right now for ignoring him- but the odds were against him.
Noboru's Digimon acted according, Nomi looking confusedly at the two, Speedy letting out a low, light growl and Rider suddenly interested in what was going on.
The rule of this game was that big things came in small packages, both people and Digimon. If you kept by that, you and your Digimon would survive.
"You know, you shouldn't talk about people as if they aren't here," he said, clenching his hand on the Digivice in his pocket. He wasn't planning on making a move if they weren't. Still, Noboru needed to plan ahead but as soon as his brain began racing, any thoughts or strategies in his mind were immediately gone. His focus was on something else-
An explosion.
Noboru's head shot toward where the loud ka-boom came from as he saw a large hole through a metal wall, a mere thirty feet away from the three and out of the settling dust came a Digimon.
Gaurdromon, a durable hunk of steel that would likely pose a threat- at least, a bigger threat than the twins over here. More than likely, he was either a creation of the factory or one of it's protectors. Maybe it's only, maybe only one of many, but what Noboru knew was that he posed a bigger threat than the twins over here. At least, Noboru had a gut feeling he wasn't here just to say "Hi."
And with this entrance, Noboru drew his two weapons; his Digivice and his cards, looking back at the twins with a smirk on his face.
"I think you have a bigger fish to fry than me right now. I'm not too interested in getting ganged up on right now, so why don't we gang up on that thing?"

With so much ease present when it came to how the twins had essentially stumbled upon what would have been an easy target, Yanmei was kicking herself for not expecting an interruption. But that was always how it happened; a surprise isn't a surprise if you expect it, after all. And a challenge isn't a challenge if it's easy. This Guardromon was placed before Yanmei to fall to her feet, because apparently the world was aligning itself to give the blonde more life experience, one way or another. (That is, this is how she was viewing the situation because she felt that everything on this earth -- digital or not -- occurred for a reason.) Taking a strong stance as she faced the robotic Digimon, her own comrades fell into place and created a formation in front of their girl.
"Ohh, you're a lucky one," Yanmei began in response to Noboru, her tone both precious and condescending at once. She eyed the Guardromon, with a hand simultaneously grazing across her bangs to make sure her hair clips were still in place. It was certainly going to be a tough cookie to crack; not only was it a level higher than hers, her brother's, and this other male's Digimon, but it was made out of metal so she took that to mean that it would also have a high amount of defense. She exhaled, though it was not solemn -- in fact, it was laced with quite the noticeable amount of cheer: "I feel that the world's telling us you would have been too easy a target. So it gave us this instead. I think the world is silly, okay..." She said this, her mood shifting down towards somber as she listened to her own words; though, it wasn't a kin to depression. Instead it resembled the feeling spoiled children display when they don't get what they want -- though, perhaps in a much more likable manner. She had a delightful way in which she put her sentences together; a lovely way in which she articulated her words that could often distract from what she was actually saying.
"Okay, but here -- we have nine Digimon right now. All we need to do is hit this thing as hard as we can. And we'll have to cover each other's backs," Yanmei began, showcasing her tactical mind that often allowed her to back up her otherwise big shit talking that she loved to do, both in person and on online forums. Her team was ready to go, left unjaded at the sight of an opponent that was considered more powerful than they were. Honestly, both they and Yanmei were sure that they would have been able to handle this obstacle alone as long as it was the three of them against the one enemy. Therefore, the added assistance should make the battle nothing but child's play. "If your Digimon are defense or healing oriented, keep them on standby, ready to pitch in to divert some of the heavy damage that this thing is going to deal."
"We're attacking; Wei, use Escape, and follow up with a Miasma... so we can see if it'll have any effect." Yanmei was suddenly issuing out orders, not wanting to allow that metal monster a chance to launch an attack in her direction. Her instructions would have caused Wei to take to the skies (he was a skilled flier, and his speed increased while in the air) before rushing the enemy and expelling a purple fog from its mouth in the Guardromon's direction. Typically, this miasma would have the ability to temporarily both suffocate and blind an enemy. However, due to the enemy's robotic nature, Yanmei wasn't confident that this plan would actually work out and was instead attempting trial and error.
Meanwhile, she wanted Suyin and Lihua to hold back for a moment. They were versatile and could come in handy to provide a quick save for Wei, in case he was in over his head.

Hearing the voice of the other boy in the area caused Junjie to idly look up from his hands and glance towards the boy. Although he said nothing, his facial expression was composed into a nonchalant smirk, suggesting that he didn't seem to care what Noboru had to say. A bit of an emotional sensor, Junjie could detect the slight animosity and annoyance that Noboru let radiate through his words as he spoke, but knew it would be futile to comment on them -- and he would much rather watch the boy get frustrated. Before the blond could make a comment directed towards his sister, he was startled by -
An explosion? Suddenly, it seemed that out of nowhere, a large digimon had appeared. Although Junjie was not too familiar with it (having only heard the name in one conversation he passed by), he could tell by its appearance that it was a machine and therefore, they were on its territory. Noticing that Noboru had pulled out his digivice and his cards, he raised an eyebrow. He did not comment but simply nodded his head; it would be a pain to try and gang up on Noboru and a Guardromon. With his hand already being positioned towards his digivice, his digits grasped onto it and tugged it out of his pocket. The aquamarine and cream colored digivice was antithesis to the cold metal surrounding them in the room. Noboru did not command his digimon to do anything for the time being and Junjie took that to mean he wasn't someone who carelessly rushed in without thinking.
Stepping back a meter to get good distance between him and the intruding digimon, he made sure to listen to what Yanmei was saying. She brought up a good point -- with nine digimon, albeit rookies (he assumed Noboru only possessed rookie digimon), they should have no qualms with taking down the rather bulky Champion that stood before them. Already knowing that Yanmei would attack first, he casually pivoted on his heel to move out the way. Her Tsukaimon would fly up and release a thick, purplish fog towards the Guardomon. The field became slightly cloudy and murky, and Junjie took this as an opportunity to take advantage of the Guardomon's poor sight (for the time being). Gently, he would clutch his digivice into his hand and glance downwards as his trio, whom seemed to be alert as ever.
".. Hm. Alright then. Yanmei is starting us off, so lets follow up. Jiao, fly up above the smog and use your evil spell. Lian, wait a bit and then toss two plant bombs towards Guardomon. There is a vault with a wheel on its center like a chest, so that might be its weak point - aim for there." ordered Junjie. He seemed to be intently focused, not wanting to be shown up by his sister - and he certainly didn't want to make a mockery of himself in front of Noboru. At his command, Jiao - his Tsukaimon - flew up, flapping its tiny wings rapidly to gain height. Once it was able to see the top of the Guardomon's head, it began to mumble incoherent words that traveled out of its mouth in a stream. The words would attempt to wrap tightly around the Guardomon, which would hopefully constrict it for a few moments - Junjie worried about the size of the large machine.
After waiting a few seconds, Lian would move in, standing a few feet in front of Junjie. The Palmon (X) closed its eyes and focused for a few seconds before placing its hands towards the cerise-hued flower on its head. Grabbing what appeared to be two medium-sized flower buds, it chucked them with some force towards the Guardomon. Due to Wei's Miasma, Lian wasn't able to see if they had hit but within a second of touching the floor, two loud explosions radiated through the field.
"Stay back, Bao - but be alert." ordered the youth towards his Labramon. The Labramon gave a loud bark, signaling it understood the order. Now they would have to wait until the smog cleared - or when the Guardomon moved - to figure out what had happened. Junjie's Tsukaimon, Jiao, flies up above the purple smog and uses evil spell in an attempt to bind Guardomon. Lian, his Palmon (X), tosses two flower bombs towards the Guardomon but wasn't able to aim properly and thus hoped she hit it. Bao, the Labramon, is alert but standing behind Junjie. tags: NOBORU ASAKURA yanmei linCODED BY XIE FOR PERSONAL USE ON CROSSWIRE ONLY
