Ichi. Ni. Ichi. Ni. Ichi, Ni, San senshi. I swung my heavy wooden blade across the air however the sound did not please me. I am almost sure that the weight was appropriate. My speed had gradually decreased however I should still be able to accomplish this. I felt my eyes narrow as I clutched the hilt of the practice sword and return it to my side. My breaths were hot and heavy as it attempted to catch up to my racing heart. As I thought on these things a smirk teased my lips. How unbefitting of me. I have gone at this for hours and feel as if I have gained little progress in my exercises. I suppose I have taken my trainers at home for granted. Nevertheless it could not be helped if I wished to keep my edge in swordplay. At the least no one would be around to see me. It was too early for others to wish to train instead of sleep and those who were up are likely in the game.
My eyes occasionally shot over to check out the doorway to the gym in case someone wished to prove me wrong however the doorway remained shut. "Remarkable. No one yet." I rose my left hand to wipe away the forming beads of sweat on my forehead as I slowly walked towards the doorway to retire for the morning. Someone may wake up any second and I did not wish to deal with prying eyes and inquiring minds. I replaced the sword into its proper location as I exited the room. As I had the bright rays of morning sun greeted me from the window in the lobby causing me mild pain as I was forced to squint to endure it. My eyes adjusted to the lighting quickly however and began scouting around for other beta testers as well as the path towards the food court. I needed a drink and I highly doubt my exercise clothes would be questioned. Perhaps my t-shirt got wet from my sweat, which was disgusting, but I doubted it would be noticeable among other things.
The soft taps of my sneakers on the smooth waxed floors of the building flooded the empty halls to which I took comfort in. The food court was emptied out as I entered so I assume it was too early for the morning mob to have awakened and scavenging for food. If I was not so worn then I suppose I would be the same. Regardless I was able to purchase a bottle of spring water from the vending machine in the court rather easily. Chill of it eased my muscled as I grabbed a hold of it and began taking small sips from it. Due to my weariness I decided to sit in the food court for now until the regular hoard shows up for breakfast then slip into the crowd back into my room. I felt that I deserved the break. That aside I really need a shower once my body temperature gets down to normal. Honestly exercising is a pain. I hope Din appreciates my efforts to stay in top combat shape and form. Then again it is not as if Din would know if I had exercised or not. Whatever. Burning a few calories was never a bad thing anyway.

DJ sighed softly, it was still early but the time difference from being in the digital world so long meant that he went to sleep very early last night and was up nearly at the crack of dawn. He was normally the type that would sleep in but all this gaming and traveling and time difference was messing with his sleep schedule. That wasn't even taking into acount the time zone change. It would take a while before he could get back into some semblance of a normal routine for him so for now he was just learning to enjoy the early morning when no one else was really around at all.
He headed out of his suite, it was rather odd living in some place so comfortable. His family wasn't poor but they weren't exactly well off so his suite here was a good deal nicer than his room at home. It was a bit difficult to leave in the morning because he was just so damn comfortable with everything around here, though he had already been up for a few hours due to his aforementioned screwed-up sleeping schedule. So he decided to head to the food court to see if anything was open where he might be able to get some light breakfast.
He rubbed the back of his head, a little frustrated that despite his lack of sleep he still couldn't shake the bedhead look, his white hair sticking up stubbornly in the back and causing him to pout. He entered the food court, hearing some sounds as the first chefs began entering and working for the morning to have things ready for when people would begin coming in in a little while. The gentle smells of eggs and batter wafted against his face pleasantly, making his stomach growl but he had a feeling that the main courses wouldn't be ready for a little bit.
A grin came across his face as he quickly ducked into the kitchen, grabbing a slice of bread and popping into the toaster, slapping a layer of peanut butter over it and sticking it into his mouth before any of the few cooks noticed he was there. He now looked like a high schooler late for class with a piece of toast hanging out of his mouth absentmindedly. A sort of freedom washed over him now that he was back in the real world, it did feel nice to be away from his pack.
DJ was an easily controlled boy between his meek demeanor, chivalrous attitude and his inner demons. Because his pack was full of very assertive females he usually got dragged along by them for whatever they wanted to do that day. It seemed he was easily bossed around by females even if they weren't human. He didn't exactly mind it though, it was just nice to have a bit of a break from it all. No matter how much he liked helping out women it was also nice to have some privacy and freedom. Now it was just him and he could relax a bit and do what he wanted as long as no one else needed anything from him.
As he took another bite of his toast he sighed and looked around. The food court was fairly empty and as such it was easy to spot the only other person there who stuck out among the emptiness. It was a rather pretty lady that caused his cheeks to pinken a bit shyly but in the interest of not being lonesome this early in the morning he approached her with a friendly smile. He would have to make friends with other tamers anyway if he planned on surviving in the digital world, hopefully this would be a good opportunity to make a good impression, he certainly didn't want to rub anyone the wrong way.
"Hi there, I don't mean to bother you but no one else is here and thought some company might be nice. Mind if I sit here ma'am? My name's DJ." He nodded softly with a friendly smile, standing in front of the chair across from her. He was a bit nervous talking to the pretty woman but he tried to keep himself composed as he waited for her answer.

I managed to stabilize my breathing to manageable levels however I felt my hot breath linger over my skin. I felt my lips crease in a frown as I realized this. Perhaps I had overworked myself today. Usually after a drink of water I would be back to normal apart from a racing heart and sore limbs. It is of no consequence I suppose. I lifted the bottle in my hand to allow myself another sip of the chilled water into my mouth when the scent of fresh food began filling the air. An array of fresh bread, cooking meat, and ripe fruits made the atmosphere almost beg my stomach to indulge in eating something. I paid no mind to it. I was aware that other tamers began to trickle in due to this however as the food had begun being prepared. All the same I paid little mind to them until a voice spoke from nearby.
I parted the bottle from my lips as I turned my head quickly to acknowledge the source of the voice, my eyes instantly locking onto the new arrival. It was a boy that stood there and my eyes swiftly moved to examine the boy to take note of his appearance. He was rather small and his hair was a white color similar to my own, however he did not appear threatening at all. In fact his appearance took on a rather cute exterior that was reminiscent of a small pet. The way that his hair was done to make the ends appear as ears did not help remove that imagery either. It took me a moment to fully comprehend what he was saying, however once I had I allowed a large breath to escape my lips. He was a friendly type I see. "I suppose if that is your wish then feel free. I do not mind." I removed my eyes to glance in another direction as I took another sip of water which assisted in calming the muscles in my body.
I was quite surprised that he did not see me as off putting due to my work out clothes. Even I acknowledged how my sweaty t-shirt may have been a ward against others to approach me. However it appeared this male did not care over the company that came with it. I suppose now I will have to delay my shower if I did not wish to be rude. Since he offered a name I believe I was required to extend the same courtesy. That is simply how it is. "The name's Ava." I leaned back into my seat as I returned my gaze to the male. "So DJ, what brings you into the food court at this hour?"

DJ smiled brightly, his red eyes glistening as she acknowledged him. Normally the odd color of his eyes would be frightening or creepy but the sheer joy and happiness the little boy conveyed in them seemed to make them a bit cuter than normal. He was aware of her dress and demeanor but that just told him that she had been working hard lately and anything he could do to aid in that process would be beneficial for her as well. He smiled brightly as she seemed accept his invitation to sit with her. He was looking forward to having some company, hopefully they could be friends. He could tell she was a hard-worker and that was a good trait to have in a friend yet a terrible one to have in an enemy.
He giggled softly and sat down across from her with a smile, taking another bite of his piece of toast. It wasn't the most filling or nutritious breakfast but it always reminded him of home, whenever he was feeling bad his mom used to give him a spoonful of peanut butter to help him feel better. With that in mind he quickly finished the piece of toast with a slight giggle before pushing his chair in with a soft smile to address the girl directly again.
"Thank you ma'am. I appreciate it." He nodded softly with a bright smile on his face. He was happy that she let him sit with her, even if it wasn't an explicit acceptance. Anything that wasn't a rejection was some kind of acceptance as far as he was concerned. He preferred to try to be optimistic when it came to making friends even though he tended to not be very good at it due to being a bit awkward and shy at times, especially around girls. But he had to get around that sometime, right?
He smiled softly when she offered him her name in return, nodding to her in thanks. "Nice to meet you Ava." He gave her a cheerful smile and sat quietly for a moment until he heard her next question which made him sit up a bit to think. "Between the time difference from where I come from and the odd time settings around the Digital World, my sleep patterns have been a little off. It's completely different from Italy." He chuckled sheepishly and rubbed the back of his head softly. "So I was wide awake when the sun came up this morning and figured I'd come down here." He shrugged and giggled.
He tapped his chin in thought and looked up at Ava with those big curious red eyes of his, his "hair ears" bouncing lightly as he talked. "What about you? Seems like you were working out or something. Got yourself on a tough regimen or something?" He smiled lightly. She seemed like a mostly serious type to push herself hard, he sometimes wondered if he should be doing more of that since he got pushed around so easily, even by his own sister and digimon pack. He was a hopeless case sometimes.

He laughed as he took the seat across from me at the table to which I felt my eyebrow raise in confusion. Why he had done that I had no clue. I do not believe I have said or done anything that may have caused such a response. I twirled the water bottle in my hand for the sake of doing so as I curiously looked to the man's hair to distinguish why they were styled in such a way. "I did not do anything other than allow you to sit. There is no need to thank me for that." However it did occur to me that the male was also eating a slice of bread, something I someone overlooked which caused me to glance over to the employees of the food court. The staff here were open already? No, that cannot be right.
I had redirected my attention towards the strange boy named DJ as he began to answer my question. I chuckled as he mentioned time zones, shaking my head as I had pieced together his answer as he was saying it based solely on that. I had forgotten about the differences between time zones. I am well acquainted with the concept of jet lag as I have traveled across the world several times over for amusement purposes, each time the jet lag from traveling between time zones fairly detrimental to my sleep cycle until I returned to Japan. It must have slipped my mind how many beta testers originated from across the world and gathered here like an abnormal melding pot of sorts. If that was the case however I am quite surprised none of the others are awake or perhaps they are and took it upon themselves to strap into the game and abandon attempting to adapt to the sleep schedule for Japan.
The last part I was able to catch which coincidentally confirmed he was from overseas. "So you are from Italy." I suppose that explains the peculiar hairstyle. Italy is one of the most fashionable centers of the world thus a place I visited on occasion. To be fair I could not tell the difference between Italy and France but perhaps that is due to both of them having beautiful scenery. Nevertheless it was quite exotic and thus of particular interest I suppose. That said I believe I was too tired to shift my facial expression over attempting to regain my normal composure. "Must be quite a different experience coming to Japan then. Nevertheless I understand."
I took another sip of my water and the cool flood immersed me in hydration. As I swallowed this I lifted my opposing hand to replace the cap back onto the top of the bottle for now. I hooked my right foot behind my left ankle as I looked to the boy. He said something to me but I could not help but concentrate on how adorable he looked for a guy. Even as he asked his questions his hair bounced so to speak. Is this what Italians are doing nowadays? Bravo Italy. Bravo. I almost wish to poke his cheek. Now what was this boy saying? Did I have a tough regimen? Must be talking about exercising since I do have a bottle of water in my hand and a sweat filled shirt. I might as well confirm that fact as long as he did not figure out specifics. "Yes I was." I moved my free hand to pinch the front of the neckline to help with airflow. It helped mildly however released as I realized how unladylike it may have appeared to be, especially to a foreigner.
Let us pretend it never happened. "My regimen is appropriate. I would not say it is rough per say however I suppose that is simply my own concern." I offered a smile as my fingers drifted to trail after the drops of water on my water bottle, allowing the chill to ease through my fingertips. After a moment it had struck me as well that the reason he called me out for exercising is perhaps due to my appearance. Oh dear I likely looked like a drunken rat compared to the boyishly adorable pet. Subconsciously I must have rose my free hand to my hair as I could now feel the warmth of my neck as I passed my fingers through the damp strands. "Do I truly look so terrible?" Most likely did however I would have liked to hear what the foreigner that had wished to sit with me in the first place had to say of it. Perhaps he would dismiss my comment with a compliment like most other men.

DJ smiled sweetly and nodded softly as Ava treated her offer for him to sit so lightly. He giggled a bit and nodded. "I suppose that's true, but you could still have refused and I do like to make it a habit to acknowledge every act of kindness no matter how small." There were times when he was treated far more harshly so he learned to appreciate when people treated him with an ounce of kindness or gentleness, it gave him a brighter outlook and made him grateful for the smallest of gestures. He felt a little sheepish after he finished his toast, he had swiped it from the kitchen before it was open but a little playful mischief occasionally never hurt.
He nodded softly at the confirmation that he was indeed from Italy. He usually got mixed reactions to that fact depending on people's tastes. The fashionable tended to focus on the glamour or art or food of Italy, the fancy worldwide perspective. The more cynical or less worldly tended to think they were dirty cowards, either way they usually got equated to France in one positive or negative aspect or another, it wasn't uncommon. He too wondered why not many appeared to be up at this hour considering the global base of testers for this game however with time eaten up by the game things couldn't be accounted for as for why people did the things they did and he didn't feel like trying.
As she noted his nationality she didn't change her facial expression at all, making her reaction to his revelation hard to gauge at least. He wasn't sure what to think she thought of his nationality as that colored how many treated others but it was probably best not to dwell on it. They were just two people talking that happened to be from different countries, no need to bring national stereotypes into it. He however nodded again. "I must admit it is quite different yes. There are the obvious cultural differences but there are subtle things as well. For example people here seem to... enjoy their personal space more." He chuckled lightly and rubbed the back of his head. He'd read before that the appropriate standing distance away from someone while talking to them varied from country to country and body language in some countries was more subdued, which is why he often talked with his hands or had more body movement while speaking with someone, causing his face to light up and hair to bounce lightly with each word sometimes.
"I just hope I don't make anyone uncomfortable, I don't want to offend." He smiled lightly to her and nodded again. "That being said, different as it is I do very much enjoy it here, especially interacting with my peers in the game." He nodded to her with a soft smile. He'd enjoyed the culture of Japan for some time now with all its quirks and technological advances, though he had noticed there were some... weird things about it, however he was not one to criticize for being weird given how odd he could be himself. However he didn't want to dwell too much on cultural boundaries, he just hoped they didn't get in the way too much either, they were all here to enjoy the game after all, weren't they?
He noticed how she seemed to stare at him as he spoke as if zoned out for a moment. Did he have something on his face? He hoped he wasn't peculiar in some way that drew attention to himself some how. The extra attention made his pale cheeks pinken slightly to reflect a similar color to his eyes as he listened to her confirm his suspicions that she had been exercising. It was then that he also noticed her pinching her shirt to fan air inside of it, causing him to blush quite a bit deeper. He didn't mind her movements or think of them as rude or anything however the motion did activate his shy boy instincts and cause him to fidget a bit like a hamster out of its cage.He tried not to let his mind wander on it too much, nothing good could come of dwelling on such things in front of a female or else he might start thinking inappropriate things. He just sat and squirmed quietly for a few minutes while reacting to her next question.
"Well as long as it works for you I guess that's all that matters." He nodded lightly, wondering how to go about her other statement, knowing he had to tread carefully. "You do not look terrible no." He smiled lightly. "I can merely tell you are active. There is nothing terrible about an active woman, even aesthetically someone who is active, passionate and a hard worker has great beauty aside from your already natural beauty." He chuckled, he would always prefer a woman who could get her hands dirty to someone who looked good but was like a wet panting that could not be so much as touched without getting smudged, plus there was something to be said for the disheveled look. "Pardon me, I don't mean to sound as if I'm flattering, I'm sorry if that's too much. However it is how I see things, you are active but do not look at all terrible to me, quite the opposite." He smiled brightly, looking up at her with those bright red eyes again and a soft giggle.

I listened to the boy and shook my head ever so lightly at his words. The innocence he held was quite astounding. I suppose the courtesy of it was more welcome than whatever else I could have happened to come across. Among even the younger ones of similar social standing so to speak could be quite impertinent and pretend to hold the innocent facade. No matter. It was refreshing nonetheless. As I fixated my gaze on the boy however the more I began to weave thoughts. Exactly how old is this guy? For a male he was way cuter than he needed to be. I did not mean in a sexual way either, but more something I would see in a small animal. Every time he nodded his hair would bob behind him. He was always smiling and quite attentive. A strange kid all around.
He also appeared to speak his mind and rather expressive at that. The facts he gave based on his observations were amusing and he spoke of such with his thoughts showing in his expression. Perhaps this was a facade of some sort however I did not find much of a reason to maintain such a thing in our current circumstances. Regardless he followed up with a statement that relayed his enjoyment of experiencing such a thing and interacting with others, a sentiment I am sure was shared with other testers aside from me. "I doubt you need to worry on such things. Considering how far the beta testers have come from around the world I doubt that you are the only one that feels that way." I twirled the water bottle I held as I felt the cold droplets begin to fall upon the uppermost part of my hand. These type of things were not my area of expertise however of my experiences everyone was more shy than they believe others to be. Knowing that is good to take advantage of it. "Most would likely be forgiving in favor of making friends."
As I loosened my fingers from my damp hair I had taken notice that the boy began to fidget around. It would taken a blind old lady not to notice. There must be a reason for it but it escaped me as to why until he began to speak. As he began to ramble I wanted to laugh but maintained my composure as he filled my ego with flattery. I wanted to chuckle. Everything he said was true sure but how it came out was quite amusing. I am sure that despite my attempts a smile showed on my face as I decided to play along to see how it played out. For a moment I leaned forward, my right hand outstretched. Just how innocent could this individual be? Would he react negatively to me being forward? Let me see.
I would reach to pinch his cheek but that itself was something the elderly might do and that is not my style. Instead I reached towards him and passed by his cheek, being careful to lightly brush it as my fingers laced into his faded pieces of hair. Not surprisingly the texture of his hair on my fingertips were soft. "Do not apologize. Actually." I moved further forward and stared into his bright eyes. He was almost radiating innocence. Nevertheless I exhaled mildly to allow my breath to reach him. "Would you perhaps like to be my pet?"
