AVALYN A sigh? I could almost feel my eyebrow raise the second I heard it. I suppose I had done something wrong to produce such a response from him or perhaps I bore him with the talk of my father's work. I understood that feeling so I decided not to pry. I did not wish to bore him further after all as much as I did not wish to speak of my parents. The conversation moved on to the fact of the beauty pageant following this, Bunny appearing rather smug of the story. Perhaps he truly had won a beauty pageant and was rather proud of it. Or perhaps it was due to the fact that he had won the beta tester status of sorts. It was a rather large prestige to be chosen for such a thing I suppose. It simply did not feel that way for me but I was not complaining.
The conversation then shifted once more. Bunny stated he heard quite a bit on the ride to Akihabara about the beta test of the game. It was more than I could say for myself. My flight was rather peaceful. Nevertheless he stated that the concept of realism was not appealing to him which was curious. It almost sounded as if he was not too interested in the game in and of itself aside from perhaps the aspect of the digimon pets? Wait. Was he complimenting me again? "Thanks. You flatter me." A smirk crossed my face as a sign that I accepted his flowered words. This guy sure did know how to flatter a girl and make them feel nice about themselves. Or maybe it was simply me. I am pretty and rather awesome. I felt a chuckle surface as I thought about that. That was both funny and stupid but it was true so I guess I should not laugh.
He chuckled along at the same time. Perhaps we chuckled about the same thing or perhaps he was laughing at how much he was complimenting me. Either way it was brief as he had moved to another conversation topic. He was rather trusting of me to reveal that he was nervous about the game. It was something I could not relate to. A game is a game after all and it did not impact anything that happened in real life. Perhaps it was merely my own mindset that games are easily learned that I was not affected by Crosswire. No matter. "Sure. I am not sure what help I will be but I do not mind." I mean the only thing that I have learned when I was there were who my partners were and where everything had been. Nayru was helpful filling in details or providing knowledge when I needed it like a tutorial guide. Not sure what I would do to help this guy.
Then I was reminded of the words of Nayru. The purpose of this game in my vague understanding is to win over versus the other team and training our pets. There were two different teams and while I am able to associate and befriend anyone around me, I should aim only to help those of the same team to be able to win. This was one of the rare things that Din agreed with Nayru about, however Din elected for me to eliminate all Oblivion players on sight instead of simply not helping them. No matter. It was worth inquiring about. "You are an infinity player right? Unless you are I am limited in what I am capable of doing to help." Among other things.

everything i love on the search for some beautiful | ava approved of his compliment once more, almost in such a way that suggested she was surprised by the event of him glorifying her further. maybe she hadn't caught on to how incessantly he shoved the idea that every woman - or at least she - was the ideal person in every aspect. hopefully she would view herself as special to receive such compliments, as may be suggested in bunny utilizing the term beautiful multiple times to seem almost inept as flattering women. of course, if anyone deserved such treatment it was none other than ava herself. her unparalleled beauty and awesomeness deserved an essay in itself; not that anyone would write to such a prompt unless they were obsessed... so bunny. she smiled once more after this, to which bunny assumed was confirmation that she didn't view his compliments as sarcastic. he didn't like it when women were so daft as to think themselves not worthy of praise and thus believe he was being sarcastic. guess it doesn't really matter. bunny smiled as she stated that she would indeed help him with getting introduced to crosswire and guiding him when need be. maybe he wouldn't need as much help as he figured he might, but at any rate it was good to know he had somehow to call now for assistance.
"heh. thank ya, means a lot to me, beautiful. i'll try not tah need ya too much, but no promises." it wasn't like he'd just try to get a hold of her to get her attention... well, he didn't think he'd do that anyway. it was a game, it should occupy him enough and there should be enough people around that he wouldn't actually need too close-knit relationships. It would probably be better to just have several friends than a tight group, but he still was unsure how it would unravel. maybe he'd get in a gang performing organized crime to take out innocent 15 year olds on the daily just because their digimon weren't beautiful or were cray or something. sounds like something that would happen. bunny's eyes lit up with a twinkle that almost didn't hold much value due to how much it appeared as she further explained that bunny would need to be an infinity player in order to receive the full benefit of her help. reasons like this bunny wished he could have remained neutral in the game, but there was no getting around the system that placed you on one team or another. by reputation and by reputation only he'd be able to establish himself as a team player for no one, but that was a long way away it seemed.
wetting his lips, bunny spoke, "yeah, i'm infinity -- i think. shouldn't be a problem there." he spoke honestly. perhaps it was just luck that the first beta tester he met outside of the game was infinity, or maybe most people chose infinity for one reason or another. bunny didn't actually have a preference as far as teams, but ava seemed to think that if he was the other team there'd be problems. although he didn't want to arise suspicions that he may be on the other team and just lying to get her help, he figured it was a legit concern to ask his next question. "is there somethin' wrong with bein' on the other team, though? i think it'd be cool to get to know those testers too, y'know. d'ya hafta go along with the bad blood thing or somethin'?" the game promoted freedom from what he understood, maybe it was just the digimon that would lash out on anything flying a different color than themselves.

AVALYN As the boy reported that his affiliation was indeed infinity I felt my mind slow its pace. Was I more worried of him being Oblivion that I realized? Never mind that I suppose. "That's good. I would hate to have to fight you one day." As I finished my statement I heard the sound of footsteps behind me. I glanced over briefly and saw the waitress delivering out tray of food to us with almost perfect form. She set our meals on the table as well as my extra glass of lemonade, the scent of the dishes wafting to my nose smelling rather rich and fine. With a bow the woman departed for further work and I returned my attention to the boy as I picked up a piece of silverware.
He voiced his concern over being able to associate with the opposing team. I felt my muscles begin moving voluntarily as I merely shrugged in response. "Not especially. My digimon would make a fuss though." I poked my tortellini and swirled it among the sauce to allow it to be submerged in flavor. It is not my place to say what is right and wrong however I personally did not see the problem. Din insisted that I make keep Oblivion members in my line of sight and to make a clear distinction of them being enemies and not friends. Nayru on the other hand encouraged me to be open with others until they give me reason for otherwise. It was a headache. I figure it is best not to sugarcoat the situation.
"It is simply how the game is played. We are split apart to raise the competitiveness of the game and while we are allowed to make friends with testers from the other team, it is both our goals to win." I lifted my fork and placed the pasta gently into my mouth to eat. The pasta was rather succulent and as expected the flavor is rather rich. Delightful. Nevertheless as I chewed and swallowed the delicacy, I figure I must address the bad blood thought. "It is not all horrid however." I lowered my fork and make eye contact, staring into his golden brown eyes. How did I not notice this color previously? It was quite curious.
"Just the other day I met this Oblivion girl who was rather nice so I cannot say that meeting testers from the other team is all bad." I removed my fingers lacing the silverware and moved my hand to the lemonade glass, taking great care not to topple anything. I lifted the glass to my lips and poured the contents to sweeten the flavors that melded in my mouth. The cold liquid felt rather refreshing after a day of shopping. As I finished I removed the glass from my lips and replaced it into its previous position. I thought back on the girl I had met through the BBS who had fought against me and forced me to allow my digimon to recover. As I had my mind drifted to the other Oblivion member that had replied to the BBS message and how arrogant they portrayed themselves to be. I bit my tongue to prevent my features from shifting to dissatisfaction and released as I alleviated my mindset. "However I have also run across more cross types of players from Oblivion so be careful who you hang around with." I chuckled to alleviate any tension I may have created on the subject. Again who was I to say all this. "Then again I cannot tell you what you can and should do."

everything i love on the search for some beautiful | bunny was a little confused, which he didn't actually make an effort to hide. was she saying she'd have to fight him if he was oblivion? like, that was alright, you could do that - if you really wanted to get shanked and left on the pavement. but she was probably referring to the game, which still raised questions. she was a chick, it sort of went against his little respect thing to ever want to fight one. well, he could want to all he wanted but he wasn't going to do anything about it. if only he had the ability of foresight to see how much gender didn't mean a thing when digimon and progression in the game was involved. anyway, bunny looked over ava's shoulder, observing a waitress delicately moving forward with a couple plates billowing steam and their scent. "ah," he exclaimed under his breath, watching as she set the plates down. bunny was curious as to which of the two would be set out in front of him, for either could of been that one thing he ordered. he nodded as the woman bowed, something that he didn't ever see people do. that was a thing?
the digimon would apparently make a fuss. rational, he guessed. it still seemed a little restricting on crosswire's end to develop digimon that opposed teams interacting in positive ways. bunny caught on quick that he wouldn't like these teams all too much. apprehensively the bunny took up the silver fork, feeling across the intricate curves engraved into it. trying not to be too intrigued by the eating utensil he guessed would be used, he instead looked to the plate in front of him. if it didn't have the name beef something-or-anything he would have guessed this was a smooth loaf of bread. "makes sense. can't imagine it hasta be that way, doe." bunny poked at the dish a single time, finding that the fork easily penetrated the pastry. happy with said effort only taking one stab, he resumed attempting to look natural and attempted to cut a portion off the end of the beef wellington. "win? didn't know ya could do that. we goin' for a prize or somethin'?" it was actually a pretty good question, for he didn't understand the purpose of a beta tester nor did he understand the objective of the game at all. apparently there was one, though.
"that's cool. see, i feel like i'm 'posed to believe all dem oblivion kids are... i'unno." this was a formal restaurant and this woman appeared to be quite used to this sort of atmosphere, he probably shouldn't say all that he wanted to if only due to the atmosphere. absentmindedly placing the bite of beef and pastry that he cut from the loaf-looking-thing, he chewed it and was actually pleased with its taste. bunny wasn't about to go into some deep analysis of the food nor did he have the understanding of fine food to do so. she had chuckled a little bit, so after he swallowed the bite he did the same. cutting a similar chunk, he looked up to ava and let her finish her statement. "yeah, i'll look out for myself, think it'll be 'kay. i 'preciate the advice and i'll do whatever ya say -- 's the only help i've gotten." he bit another bite from his fork.

AVALYN Was it me or was something off? My eyes glanced upwards to watch the male as he began slicing into the beef wellington, listening to his words with mild interest. I cannot figure out what was off yet. No matter I suppose. "I do not think there is a prize. It is more of a winning over others is fun type of deal. A sense of accomplishment so to speak." My hand gripped the fork that I placed down so I may continue to eat the tortellini. I noticed that afterwards I had begun to prod the pasta on my plate to assure myself of the moisture and texture of it. Force of habit I suppose. I was more concerned about how to explain, not that I knew much better anyway. "Similar to how others play board games against each other for fun. You do not win anything however the competitiveness makes it reasonably fun."
I finally took a final push into one and lifted it to my mouth to eat. I cannot say it is amazing however I can say that I have had far worse. Thus I will consume this without complaint. No reason to become spoiled or picky on what I eat, especially if someone else is paying. As I swallowed I pressed my fork into another but this time to slice one in half. "Then again I am not sure how closely we are to follow the design of the game. We are just beta testers after all." I should stop messing with my food before Bunny here decides that something is wrong with me. "I don't truly look deeply into stereotypes between our teams however I can see what you are saying. Aside from that one girl, I cannot see much of a reason to disagree with it."
As the boy stated that he appreciated the advice and would follow it, I felt a smirk poke at my lips. Most people rarely take my advice so seriously, however it appears that since I am the only one that has apparently offered I should not think too much of it. "You will be fine. It's just a game and not even a real one yet considering it is in beta." I took a halfhearted stab into a slice of mushroom and once again placed the food between my lips to eat. It was much easier eating it in bits and pieces like this. "Remember I'm new at this too and I'm not too huge on the digimon thing."
Now that I think on it, perhaps I should exchange contact info with this guy. If we were to ever need to help each other then that would be a good idea. "Tell you what, I'll give you my d-terminal number. That way if you run into trouble in game you can reach me." I paused. That would also mean our Digimon could meet up. I mean I get they were digital pets but I should consider not dragging them around everywhere on a whim. Or not. I doubted that Din or Farore would mind much regardless. Nayru would only put up slight resistance but would agree to it since she enjoyed the occasional conversation with other digimon. "That or if you ever want to hang out and have our digimon meet up too."

everything i love on the search for some beautiful | with this newest bite, bunny began to chew faster as this beef wellington thing became like any other food he had ever eaten. if all food in akihabara tasted like this then he would be okay without having to scour for a low-quality chinese place or the nearest mcdonalds. bunny set his fork down against the pastry part again, not paying much mind to it as he went into a normal eating pattern which gave him a much more natural presence. bunny's universe once more revolved around ava, even if this food was also pretty amazing and worthy of his attention. and like the bunny he was, good food and good times would be associated with the name and face of ava and his disposition towards her would be forever positive. she also gave advice of substance, which helped out. she explained that there was no prize, which bunny frowned a little at but then put another bite into his mouth to get over it. aw, he was really hoping there'd be something for the winner. not that he really expected to be the winner, it was just a nice sentiment really. she mentioned board games though. how high did one have to be in order to get any satisfaction from any boardgame ever? like really though. maybe there was some competitive nature surrounding boardgames but you'd have to be in the sky if you wanted to get into that spirit at all. "heh. if ya say so," he thought he should leave out the board game comments. maybe that was her thing.
setting his fork down and lifting his glass of water once more, bunny listened closely. "y'see, neutrality's sorta my thing. i'm no stranger tah teams but choosin' sides is too much pressure, too much 'sponsiblity. i'm just a little nervous 's all." he spoke half to her and half to himself, trying to provide a little assurance. bunny didn't like talking about himself like that; it wasn't being open he opposed it was just that he was much more interested in his conversant. saying he was capable of being nervous in itself went against his principle, too. she assured him that it was still in beta, which didn't mean much to bunny. bunny wasn't sure how many other beta testers there were but to him the game was as good as open. her saying that she wasn't big into digimon did help him, though. "thought i was the only one not huge into diginoms 'round here," he spoke while smiling, his voice very light and carefree in the statement.
d-terminal numbers? bunny mulled that term over in his mind for a moment, trying to recollect exactly what it was she was asking. picking up his fork and cutting another section off the entree again, he let her finish her statement by saying that he could call if he needed help or just wanted to hang out. perfect. with that, bunny had gotten everything that he might have wanted from this girl in terms of building the support system he desperately wanted. of course, it couldn't hurt to reinforce that a little more with further interaction. "hm? oh right yeah, those lil' phones they gave us," he thought out loud, discerning what it was she was referring to. "my number's 4195. not sure if i can really help ya or nothin', but i can always keep ya company if you need someone to cuddle or uh, talk to. what's yours, beautiful?" bunny didn't want to have the stupidest grin on his face like he kind of wanted to, so he took another bite of his food.

AVALYN The boy appeared rather complacent with my explanation which is good. It meant that I was doing something that sounded reasonable. Nevertheless I broke my eye contact as to take another bite of my tortellini right as the male began to speak. He explained why he did not take much to the team idea and I understood why. If I had the option I would have not chosen a team at all and run solo. However I would say my reasons were quite different from what Bunny stated. His answer merely appeared to me as a childish answer not that I would say that out loud. I was quite fine with the responsibility, I simply was not much of a team player if I was not running the show. In this case it could not be helped. "I see." I lifted my fork to spear the pasta for another bite before I realized that I was consuming this quite swiftly. At this I glanced over to Bunny's meal to see if I was the only one.
Regardless I had placed down my fork and picked up the napkin nearby to wipe my lips delicately of any remaining food. Afterwards I placed the napkin down and reestablished eye contact. I should say something. "You will get used to it. I will admit I'm not used to it either. Too used to running on my own." I paused after I said that. I suppose I did not have much of a choice on that one. I was always expected to do everything on my own. My parents were never around and the help in the household were not helpful with these types of things. Now that I thought on it, perhaps I am too used to being alone rather than a team player. I suppose that is why the digimon were appealing as they were essentially pets in a getaway world where I could spend time with them. I cannot deny that they appeared to be not used to working together either.
Amusingly enough Bunny broke me from those thoughts as he stated that he believed he was the only one unfamiliar with these Digimon which was laughable. I was not aware up until the point I heard of this game. Or perhaps I was and merely paid it no mind which was essentially the same thing. That as well as the fact that he called these things Diginoms as if they were some sort of cereal brand was priceless. Nevertheless instead of bursting into laughter I managed to control myself by steeling my facade. Thus I chose to simply nod in acknowledgement and move on. "Yeah. It is best not to worry yourself." After all, I did not. Even so I had no doubt that I would end up on the winning team. Din would make sure of that.
Then came the exchange of numbers. Pleasant. With this the male could contact me anywhere in game which while convenient she also hoped it would not be tiresome as if I handed of my cell number. Perhaps it would not be abused however. It would only suffice as a means to communicate within the game after all. In turn I made a mental note of the male's number as he stated it and nodded in understanding. It was a good thing my memory was not as faulty as what I make it out to be half the time. He swiftly followed with a quip about cuddling and another beautiful statement to which I shook my head at. "Aren't you a charmer?" I questioned jokingly though my voice was touched with slyness. Now what was the number. "My number is 4242. Quite simple to remember." Only reason I was able to bring it up from the top of my head. He had voiced how he doubted he would be able to help much and I could not help but think the same way but no matter. "The same goes for me, about being able to help and all. As I said I am new to this type of thing as well." Just as I was to say more the waitress appeared once again from the corner of my eyesight. I took this time to place my utensil down and leaned away from the table to signal that I was finished with my meal just as the woman placed the lean black cover that held the check for our meal upon the table.
I was not going to bother to check the book on how much our meal cost. It was not my responsibility. Bunny stated he would pay and by all means he would pay. It was a good experience either way and despite any cost it was likely I may attend this establishment again. Nevertheless my eyes remained on the younger male and part of me wondered if he was going to react negatively. I suppose only time will tell.

everything i love on the search for some beautiful | bunny averted his attention from his conversant's beautiful face, but only after he managed to convert all of the details to ingrain them into his mind. granted he hadn't the words (nor do i due to how much i don't actually know your character's eyes color, exact hair color, etc) to describe her beauty despite his burning will to do so. nonetheless, she had proven by her calm demeanor and response to bunny's approach that she not only was beautiful but she knew that she was beautiful. he was actually looking at her food now, which he found to be all but consumed. strange, he thought that if he was staring at her he might have noticed if she putting food into her mouth continually. bunny flicked his eyes back up to her face, watching her as she said the words "i see". mm, that sounded particularly natural coming from her mouth almost as if she had seen a lot. that was silly, though, it was merely a statement native to the active listener, albeit a little judgmental to say in certain situations.
he elected to take another bite, nearing the completion of his dish as well. she said that he would get used to the whole thing, which was something that people just said when something was going to hurt over and over. ava also admitted that she wasn't used to it, however. bunny thought that she might be contradicting herself a little there, but didn't think to point it out. ava's advice was the only advice, the advice. whether, logically, he could trust her or not didn't actually matter too much. it did catch his eyes that she claimed to have been used to running on her own. bunny couldn't imagine what life she had, and all of the obvious indicators that he knew that would point in more negative directions were either not present or not visible at the moment. "i'll deal," he sliced what was left of his beef wellington in half. that was really all he could do, though, was just deal with it. of course, there was ways he could shirk responsibilities that he assumed and only more that he would discover over time.
"on your own, huh? poor you," bunny did that thing where he struggled to not deviate from his normal tone into a sarcastic one. and then that charmer line, which always seemed to be kind of derogative. he couldn't help himself, and it was probably one of the better traits to be recognized by especially since there was a plethora of other adjectives and titles that would probably describe bunny. forty-two forty-two sounded like a jingle, but whatever. he usually wasn't good at memorizing phone numbers, but luckily crosswire thought it was cool to have four-digit numbers for everyone. y'know, when this beta thing ended and everyone was offered this game it might prove that you might have more than 9,999 people. eh, wasn't his problem. she didn't voice opposition to the cuddle thing, but she probably looked it over like apparently people did. as the waitress came by bunny hurriedly ate the tiny piece that he had left. the plate had little pieces of the pastry scattered about as well as some garnishment on the side he figured was there for decoration. she left a little booklet which he figured had the check within it.
"don't hafta be modest. i'll depend on you a lil', its 'kay." he chuckled as he said this. it was only a little ironic that he reached for the booklet now, because he would have to pay for their lunch like independent people did. parting the front and back cover, he gazed over a set of numbers and words that were almost foreign to him. maybe they were foreign, he didn't actually pay too much attention to what it was that he was reading. what he did catch onto was the end total, in a form of currency that he didn't know. judging by how far widespread english was now, maybe they'd accept us dollars. the waitress had left them. now, you may have stated that by all means bunny would pay, but there are by a select few means that bunny wouldn't pay.
bunny delicately closed the booklet and delicately pressed it to the side of the table. the waitress retreated back into the back area of the restaurant, so it was all cool. pushing out his wooden chair a little bit, bunny began to rise from his seat. "m'kay dear, let's go." he grabbed her hand and abruptly tugged her from her seat as well. ava was small. shuffling out the door, bunny decided not to think any more of it and hoped ava wouldn't comment out loud. he liked the feeling of independence and reliability, even when he was practically laughing in the face of responsibility. keeping hold of ava by her hand, he turned his head back to her and asked, "want me tah walk you back to the suite? we could also see a lil' more of the city, if there's anythin' ya wanna do." bunny was actually eager to get into the game, but that was secondary.

AVALYN As Bunny commented when I stated I ran alone quite frequently, I glanced away and took a sip of my lemonade. The sweetness of the beverage had managed to take my mind off of the subject at hand quite easily to my surprise. There was not much I wished to say on the subject or elaborate on. In fact I was quite grateful when the subject shifted swiftly. I watched as the male took his final bite of his beef wellington and was rather curious of the quality of it but chose not to ask yet as he had taken it upon himself to pick up the black booklet.
I kept my eyes on his face to watch for any signs of chance. There was no reaction to the bill however. Whether it be a sigh, a gasp, or a raise of the brow none of those reactions were present which made me question the situation slightly. I did not expect for this guy to have deep pockets due to his reaction when I asked about the wellington earlier, however perhaps I was wrong. He is a foreigner after all. Perhaps they did not have that where he lived in America. Or perhaps this establishment was quite inexpensive after all. I suppose it was of no concern to me. As long as he was able to pay. Soon enough he closed the black booklet that held the check and placed it to the side for the server to retrieve to which I raised a brow at.
Did he pay? I saw him open the book and see the check however I did not see him retrieve any wallet of some sort. Did I merely miss this action? My vision blackened for a second as my eyes blinked at the sound of a chair sliding against the ground. I followed him with my eyes as I attempted to piece together what was going on around me. Before I could question him for more information however, he had swiftly taken my hand and prompted me to follow suit as he tugged me along to keep his pace. It was a rather bold move. I had barely gotten a hold of my bags with my free hand when he had done so. However I felt a light gasp escape my lips as I was whisked away from my seat towards the exit, my eyes glancing back over my shoulder in the process to eye the black booklet. The server had yet to come retrieve it and we had not waited a moment longer for her return thus it was safe to assume a credit card was not used. Did he use hard cash to pay? For one reason or another my mind refused to accept the likelihood of this. Along with how he was pulling me away, I was in shock.
Regardless one way or another I was taken out of the restaurant establishment and down the street by Bunny's whim. My pace quickened to keep up as to not appear helplessly pulled along with the man. That would not be a good image for me to have. Nevertheless he spoke once more and without missing a step had looked back to me with a question. I cannot tell if he was truly inquiring or using it as a cover up. I suppose I will not concern myself with trivial details however. I will discover the truth sooner or later if it was truly so important. "I do not mind either way however I think I have seen quite enough of the city for one day." That and I wished to check up on Nayru and the others. I wondered if they had fully recovered yet from their fight and I was more than curious enough to allow myself to venture into the game even after a shopping trip. I doubted it however. If healing injuries was anything like it was in the real world, I would require patience. It was a trait that both me and Din lack I think. I had then realized that might affect what Bunny would do and I shook my head. "But do not let me stop you from further exploring if you wish."

everything i love on the search for some beautiful | realizing the quickening of ava's step, which he immediately scolded himself for possibly appearing urgent in their exit, bunny quickly moved to lessen his pace. of course, there was also the possibility that he would get stiff armed by an unsuspecting japanese man on his way home from work or something. didn't want that to happen, so as he watched her face he gradually came to a complete stop. her answer and her answer alone would dictate where they went, however it probably also depended on how bunny interpreted her answer. he had come to pick up on the fact that not only did women usually want a specific thing more than any other, they also made sure to hide what it was they wanted like it was a game to them. they acted like it actually didn't matter as a sort of makeshift screening system to see if bunny was, truly, a beautiful person. luckily he was getting alright at forcing ladies to choose for him, and when they refused he made alright decisions on his own.
beautifully spoken, ava claimed that she didn't mind what it was he chose however she did say that she had seen enough of the town. this was merely a way to want one thing but pretend like you cared enough about another person's opinion, he knew that too. that actually made his decision a lot easier, for with that he figured they should probably return to the suite for that is what she actually wanted even if she danced around that statement a little bit. bunny noticed as well that she, while being eloquent, was almost a little wordy like one of those big people using big words. hopefully she strayed from that pattern; bunny figured that even if she wouldn't do so naturally his presence around her might suade her to talk a little bit more like him. not to say beautiful people spoke one way. "a'i-"
then there was the save. god forbid she make this easy on him, instead she had to trample on his heart by making him choose something difficult. woe is bunny, the garden dwelling creature who wanted nothing more than to please dear ava... forced now to choose one or another knowing that one - which one he knew not - would please her less than the other. woe is the woodland animal whom has to go through this hardship and act like the hardship doesn't exist. bunny's gaze floated upwards as it did when he engaged in thought for but a moment as he pondered what he wanted. chuckling finally, he unfurled his fingers clasped around her hand and turned himself around to stop their walk completely and stand in front of her. he hugged cuddled her (because chapter one). bunny leaned forward and let his lips breeze against her cheek, which she probably wouldn't stab him for given her personality and how generally okay that was in the the culture bunny had acquired. given the height difference of three inches and how, usually, men were a little taller than women he may have - just maybe - got on his tippy toes. that's what toes were made for, anyway. bunny figured he could have done anything if he really wanted to, but to follow along with his consistent compliments and demeanor he figured that the cheek was much cuter. that consistency and the beauty in that mattered to him.
he giggled a little, which was probably more audible than he wanted given his closeness. "why ya gotta make me choose, doe?" he took a step back from her. bunny had already elected, internally, that they would be returning to the suite. he only knew the relative direction of the crosswire suite, but it was a large building so he didn't think he would really miss it. "guess we'll head backta the suites. i'll get my fill of exploration there if this crosswire thing is beautiful as you say." bunny let his eyes wonder about the scenery around him, absorbing the metropolis scenery that he still wasn't quite used to. inside the restaurant the world seemed relatively small again, and now it was back to a world that reached so many feet into the sky.
"if you see somethin' ya wanna do, though, don't let me stop ya." he repeated her own words back to her, expecting to begin walking back to the suite now. bunny honestly didn't have any preference on how the rest of their little meeting went or if he would be back in the game within the hour. as far as he was concerned his primary objective had been satisfied: he had a good time with ava and now had a friend that at least seemed pretty trustworthy. he did, however, decide that he should provide a little bit of fun and anticipation for the next time him and ava would meet. perhaps that is what they could converse of while crossing akihabara to get back to the suites. "you owe me a lil' time in the game, doe. dunno what you'd wanna do, could fight to death for all i care." he said jokingly.
and so they would probably fight to the death.
