HISTORY OF SEVERINE AMBROISE
Severine's parents moved from their native France to Australia due to work requirements before she was born, and thus for almost her entire life she spent it in Australia. A born-and-bred Sydneysider (one who lives in Sydney, Australia, and not the capital of said country, despite the many rumours overseas), she neglected to use the French that her parents taught her, and chose instead to speak English to her peers in an effort to fit in with them.
Preschool passed by with barely a hitch, save for the first day. On that day, when her mother dropped her off at the preschool, Severine barely made any fuss, as opposed to the other wailing, sniffling children clinging to their mother's legs, refusing to let go. A teacher once commented on how quiet the child was, not willing to draw attention to herself. Despite this, Severine did manage to make one friend there, who would later join her in the same primary school.
Severine's intelligence made itself known early, when she managed to master the art of reading and writing at the tender age of four, a time when most children were still spitting out inane babble and random, strung together words, not reading large words from a science magazine that her parents had and rewriting them later when asked. Her parents, though surprised, encouraged the girl to keep up her early studies. Taking this to heart, Severine's primary school years passed by quickly, skipping two grades and also earning her the ire of older classmates, not willing to share their space with a little runt of a thing who was two years younger. The egocentrism that was a constant during that period of development in a child's life made Severine's life what she would consider living hell, and describe as the worst time period in her life.
High school (American middle school and high school combined, for the Americans out there) was the best, she would later tell anyone who asked her (when she was in a sharing mood, which isn't very often). Having passed the selective school test with flying colours, she chose to go to Sydney Girls' High School (why yes, I did go there). Full of intelligent people, she quickly found friends among her cohort, and graduated six years later with awards and an awaiting university course.
CrossWire was almost an accident. Her preschool friend, with whom she had shared six years of primary school before they parted ways, searched her up two years into university, and asked her whether she had heard about this new game that was currently in beta mode, and hey, would she like to try and get a spot as a beta tester? Mystified, but definitely curious, Severine signed up for the competition to select five beta testers from Sydney. As luck would have it, she managed to get a spot, as well as her friend, and I guess Severine's story really starts from here on in.
SEVERINE AMBROISE's HOME SERVER
« 0070 » The first thing you notice when you enter Severine's abode is that it is anything but humble. Mirrors and expensive works of art line the walls, along with the occasional Lord of the Rings paraphernalia, with a large, hand-drawn map of Middle Earth as the centrepiece, sitting on the wall above the luxury sofas and decadent fur rugs. What is also obvious are the bookshelves dotted around the place, lined with books of every decade and genre, as well as giant shelves full of DVDs. The bedroom is full of more merchandise, and there isn't a single speck of dust.
