HISTORY OF HIkaru Tadashi
Many years ago, before Hikaru was born, a young, American business man named Blaine Marigold traveled to Kyoto, Japan. He hoped to strike up and coming deals within the booming Japanese economy. His luck was with him when he met the a young woman named Eri Tadashi, the daughter of an aging programmer named Soba Tadashi. Soba took a liking to him and all seemed well while he spent his time in Japan and eventually married Eri.
This changed though when Eri found out she was pregnant and gave birth to a new son in the year 2013. At this time, Soba and his company had been working for years in the virtual reality field of electronics and Blaine had provided them to the cash to do so. They were nearing a huge breakthrough in the technology when Hikaru was born and because Soba could not see his new grandson on the day of his birth he grew jealous. The couple had yet to choose a name for him, so Soba tried to step in and state, "No grandson of mine shall have a last name like Marigold." The reason why he said this was because he had been stuck on end in a lab for years and had been unable to see his daughter during much of her own life. He really only got to eat meals with them late at night when he was not at work.
Blaine was a bit surprised by this because Eri had willing taken on his last name when getting married to him. By refusing to let his son take on the same name he thought the man was stepping on what pride he had in a country that still felt foreign to him sometimes. Blaine continued sending money to Soba for his projects since that's all he seemed to care about, but immediately left and took his son with him after hearing Eri and Soba had decided to name him Hikaru Tadashi. This would cause a lot of paper work trouble later with a divorce, right over Hikaru's actual name, and who got custody over him. Yet in the end, Blaine would win. Mostly, he would get to keep Hikaru, but Hikaru would be registered as an American citizen with the name Eri and Soba gave him.
This frustrated the man so he pulled out of Soba's company after a year and spent his time working in other industries in America. Hikaru lived without much trouble in his life, but people did find it strange his father and him had different names. Hikaru would eventually figure out he was half Japanese, but Blaine would not tell him why he and his mother separated. One day, fourteen years later, while coming home from school he found an odd package stuffed in his mail box. When he opened the package he found three things stuffed inside a letter, a plane ticket, and a game pass for a game called "Digimon CrossWire" in a shopping district within Akibahara Electric Town.
Hikaru read the letter and was shocked to find out he had a grandfather in Japan. He knew he had a mother, there but his father had never told him about his grandfather. His grandfather told him he was retired, but did not say what he did in the letter at all. He simply stated, "I spent a lot of money on the greatest game on Earth, so you better come to the game pass's location. Hikaru did not want to disappoint his grandfather and was actually bored in the the US, so he sneaked out of the house and boarded a plane to Japan. After a full day of flying he managed to land in Japan and headed straight towards the Akibahara Shopping District. Once there, Hikaru made sure to register himself for the game with the game pass he was given and he was sent on his way after filling out the application. It looked like a fun game since the game sounded like it catered to doing things with monsters. He also liked the idea of being evil instead of good in this game, when it gave him the option to choose. He was sent straight to Kurai City after this via a game pod once he had chosen his three Digimon Wormmon, Solarmon, and Swimmon.

Hikaru Tadashi's HOME SERVER
« 7767 » Hikaru's Home Server is a simple field of flowers consisting of marigolds, goldenrod flowers, and sunflowers. It is his own personal park or sanctuary and has things in it like a fountain that spouts water with a pond (large enough to swim in) around it, beach chairs and swimming equipment, and nice little shack big enough for four people to live in comfortably. This area has been made so he can relax without the worries of the Digital World around him causing him trouble. The T-Gate access point for his Home Server is on the far side of the fountain. It is a simple metal pad that glows with energy when the right conditions are met to allow one to transfer, such as owning gate disks. Hikaru's Home Server is a mostly open access point to anyone on his team, so they can enter it if they so choose to, that is, if they know who he is and have his contact information.
