Q: What type of Digivice do our characters have? Can we have a different version?
A: The D-Arc Digivice, also sometimes known as the D-Power Digivice. It's the Digivice based off the third season, Digimon Tamers, and no you may not have a different version. You can customize it's colors but it must have the same features. For a more details on the features you can look at the Digital World Features.
Q: What season of the anime does the forum correspond to?
A: As this is an AU forum it doesn't closely follow any season, however if is very close to the third season also known as Digimon Tamers. However we do take many aspects from some of the Digimon video games, such as Digital World 3 and Digimon World Dawn and Dusk.
Q: Are Crests required to digivolve past the champion level?
A: Nope, we deal strictly with Experience Points here. You can read more about Digivolutions on the second post in the Digimon Partners and Digivolutions thread.
Q: Do you allow Hybrids?
A: Yes, but humans are not turning into Digimon on this site. We simply allow you to choose "hybrids" as a part of your Digivolution line. So they are just treated like any other Digimon evolution level. Also you are not required to have the Spirits necessary for said Digivolutions. Q: Are Armored Digivolutions allowed?
A: Yes, but not through the armored Digi-Eggs like in the second season. We allow you to access the armored Digivolutions like a regular champion through your Digivolution line. You can read more about Digivolutions on the second post in the Digimon Partners and Digivolutions thread.
Q: How are wild Digimon encounters roleplayed?
A: Well you can have a wild Digimon appear yourself or request the staff to have one appear. The staff may often throw some wild Digimon at you for the sake of giving you an in-character reason to gain a Digivolution. Note that staff will not be role playing wild Digimon here unless its necessary for plot. For more information on wild Digimon check out the thread on Digital World Features.
Q: What Digimon evolutions are or aren't off-limits?
A: Pretty much all Digimon are allowed as long as your Digimon can Digivolve into them. This means that either a resource site states the Digivolution is possible or the Digivolution must be logical and make some sense. That being said, some Digimon are banned and others can only be reached via DNA/Jogress Digivolution. Q: Are X-Antibody Digimon allowed?
A: Yes, in fact some are offered as starting Rookies. However we do have rules about Digivolving into X-Antibody Digimon. Only those with the X-Antibody can Digivolve into other X Digimon. Those without the X-Antibody cannot Digivolve into X Digimon. You can read more about Digivolutions on the second post in the Digimon Partners and Digivolutions thread.
Q: Can partners Dark Digivolve?
A: Yes, but this will be regulated by staff. When you exchange your Experience Points for a Digivolution staff will then monitor the Digivolution. If we see fit due to circumstances, a Digimon may Dark Digivolve for a thread before actually obtaining their true Digivolution.
Q: How does mode change work?
A: You simply exchange the needed amount of Experience for it. This goes for any mode change and Burst Mode too.
Q: What language is everyone speaking?
A: For the sake of being convenient we are just going to say everyone knows and speaks English. Try not to worry about it or question it too much, after all it happens all the time in anime and other media where characters from different countries or even different planets seem to all be speaking the same language. This is also set slightly in the future so we can assume that English is spreading and becoming used more often around the world, which is the case.
