DigivolutionsWhen it comes to Digivolution we use Credits exclusively on this site. We don't use crests, spirits or anything like that, you must simply just earn the necessary amount of Credits and meet the Rank requirements. Once you have done this you can claim the Digivolution for one of your Digimon in the Digi-Mart. The Digivolution must be approved by a staff member and credits removed for the purchase before you can use it in a thread. Because of this we do not ask you to make a predetermined Digivolution Line since we will have to accept each Digivolution as you go along. The only levels that don't require Credits are that of Rookie and below. So for baby and in-training level it is completely up to the role player on how they deal with that. All of your Digimon can start in rookie form if you so desire. The only time you actually have to exchange Credits for Rookie level is when you are reclaiming it after your Digimon's data has been previous destroyed which caused them to revert back to an egg (read more in the Digital World Feature thread). Credits are shared between your three Digimon, thus you can decide which one Digivolves first. All Digimon must be at the same level before you can advance to the next. Meaning before one of your Digimon can Digivolve into the Ultimate Level all three of your Digimon must be at the Champion Level first. This is to avoid individuals trying to focus on just one or two Digimon. Also only one of your three Digimon can reach the Mega level. The other two can only reach the Ultimate Level at max unless of course they DNA/Jogress into the next level. Accepted and Declined DigivolutionsThe staff has the right to accept or decline any Digivolution that we see fit. Even if DMA or another resource site says a Digimon may be able to Digivolve into a certain Digimon we may decline it. For example, many Digimon can digivolve into Angemon according to resource sites. If it makes no sense to us that your rookie can digivole into Angemon or if we feel like there are too many Angemon already in circulation then we may decline that Champion option. At the same time we may accept Digivolutions that are not recorded on resource sites. For example, Kokabuterimon does not have Kabuterimon listed as a possible Champion. However we may allow it simply because it makes sense, this goes for all Digivolution lines. They either have to make sense or follow a resource site - bottom line is staff must approve. If you have any questions about a certain Digivolution line then please ask.
Note that we also may decline a Digivolution if too many individuals have already claimed that Digimon for their line. We will be keeping track with a Digimon census of which Digimon have been selected and how many times. You can find this in the post below this one. Plot-Based Digivolution RequirementsBesides just Creidts it also may be required that the specific Digimon you wish to Digivolve have some sort of in-character or plot-based reason to Digivolve rather than just magically gaining it. So while you exchange Credits for the right to achieve a Digivolution you may not actually unlock it until the right moment in role play, such as in a battle. Turn it into a moment for character development and have fun with it. The staff will work this out with you upon accepting the Digivolution. For each Plot Arc of the site we will offer opportunities for members to participate in various ways in order to meet Rank and Digivolution requirements. At the same time this means no one individual can excel on their own by completely ignoring the site's plot and events. This is to prevent over leveling for plot events as well as try to create a more relaxed environment so we don't have an 'arms race' for a higher level. Once you the Rank cap of a certain Arc then everything you do will only earn you Credits, thus giving newer members/characters a chance to catch up in the ranks, or at least not fall further behind with higher ranked characters snowballing ahead.
There also may be other side requirements such as for DNA/Jogress. For DNA/Jogress the two Digimon must have some kind of bond in which case is no problem if you own both Digimon but it gets a bit more complicated if you wish to DNA Digivolve one of your Digimon with someone else's. One thread together is not really gonna cut it in terms of a strong enough bond to pull it off. Customizing Digimon and TechniquesHere on CrossWire we do NOT allow non-canon Digimon. That means no original created Digital Monsters, sorry. We do however allow you to customize your Digimon to be unique as long as you stay within reason. For example, we do allow the creation of custom techniques for Digimon since not all of them have many listed and those that do tend to not be all that detailed. However, custom techniques must be logical and somehow fit with the Digimon's known or suggested abilities. That being said, staff must approve of all techniques.
We also allow slight modifications to a Digimon's appearance such as a scarf for an accessory, a scar, or even a different color than the generic color of that species. There are actual canon recolors after all, so we will allow you to pick and choose from recolors that have already officially appeared or you may customize with your own recolor. However, despite the recolor the Digimon must still retain similar abilities as the default color of its species. The attribute can however change with the recolor. So for example if the Digimon is originally Vaccine but you decide to have it as a recolor then you could change the attribute to another such as Data or Virus. Attributes don't play a huge part on the site so it matters not to us. X-AntibodyThe X-Antibody holds no place on our site or plot. Naturally Digimon with the X-Antibody are suppose to be stronger than those without, but on this site that is not the case. Digimon here are all on the same level so to speak. A Rookie is a Rookie, a Champion is a Champion and an Ultimate is an Ultimate. All the X-Antibody really does is change the look and evolution lines of some Digimon. So that's it, the X-Antibody does not provide any special powers or buffs. The only thing the X-Antibody really allows is for Digimon with the X-Antibody to Digivolve into other X Digimon. Digimon without the X-Antibody cannot Digivolve into X Digimon.
FOR EXAMPLE: Agumon can digivolve into Greymon but not Greymon X because it's a regular Agumon. Agumon X does have the opportunity to digivolve into Greymon X since it has the X-Antibody. Banned Digimon/DigivolutionsThere are some Digimon/Digivolutions that we have banned and they are listed below. We may add more to the list as we go along. This is simply because we believe it would be hard to regulate these Digimon in role play and also because they are very unique and usually heavily plot based. A lot of them are just simply too huge to work with, may be used for transportation purposes only, or basically listed as gods amongst Digimon. There is also a list of Digimon that can only be reached through Jogress/DNA, this is in order to prevent someone having a Digimon considered more powerful than the average mega in their normal line.

Structure of the Digital WorldIn the earliest creation of the digital world it was little more than a barren desert, just a wasteland that held next to nothing as the programmers had to work with limited technology. As technology changed and became more advanced the digital world evolved and changed in dynamic ways as it was reincarnated over and over again. Data was wiped and rewritten and the digital world changed drastically over the years with each released game. The digital world ages much faster than our own so what took millions of years to reshape our world could be done in just a few decades in the digital world.
The digital world contains many different self-contained environments specially suited to the digimon that live in the area. Although the digital world has both night and day, there is no transitional period between the two - with darkness instantly sweeping across the world like a sheet. Visible in the sky is a pulsing globe of code and light, which represents the the barrier between the digital world and the human world. This layer is directly controlled by CrossWire since they can tap into the bridge between the two worlds. Floating between the layer of the real world and the surface of the digital world there is the floating city made by CrossWire to house the tamers and most functions of the game. Vast columns of energy reach down into the Digital World when tamers are teleported down from the sky layer and to the ground layer which contains all of the different environments in the digital world.
The amount of Digi-Areas are said to be infinite as the digital world expands in all directions. It is not round like the Earth and in fact if one were to travel to the very outskirts of the world they would meet a wall of vast and empty white space - like the end of a program or the end of a video game structure. However to reach the end of the World would take many years on walking through the harsh deserts in the digital world. Luckily the portals set up all around the digital world and in the various Digi-Areas make it easier on tamers so they don't have to walk for miles to get to a certain environment. The only downside is that the portals are stationary, thus one does have to walk back to the location of a portal gate in order to travel back to the tamer city above after transporting down to the digital world. Wild DigimonWhen it comes to wild digimon a member can either request staff to have one appear or those involve in the thread can have a wild digimon appear if they wish for whatever purpose. It could be just a friendly encounter or a not so friendly one. Wild digimon will not be role played directly by staff, they will be treated strictly as NPC and how a role player interacts with them is up to them. There are some rules when it comes to having a wild digimon appear, especially one that is meant to oppose conflict. The rule is: "No more than one level higher than your lowest level digimon." This means that if you have all champions then you can have an ultimate level digimon appear in the wild to interact with. If you have two champions and one rookie, then you can only have up to the champion level appear in the wild still due to rookie being your lowest level digimon. This is to avoid someone trying to make their digimon seem more "powerful" by saying that their three rookies could handle an ultimate or something to that effect. Also if you do have a wild digimon appear then be somewhat logical as to the type of area you are in. Bottom line is don't be ridiculous, nothing should be game changing or plot changing unless the staff is involved. Digimon "Death"In some creations of the digital world any digimon that died was dead indefinitely as a way to help save some server space and delete old, obsolete data. On CrossWire, the death of a digimon results in an infinite cycle of rebirth. Digimon in this digital world are turned into data upon their "death". In most cases this data is absorbed by other digimon in order to obtain power and/or to digivolve. However it is only the data of the current level and power, with all of their powers drained the digimon will revert back into an egg and will wait for the day that it can hatch again and start to rebuild its data for the sake of tasting digivolution once again. Luckily, it's much easier for a digimon (with a tamer) to reach higher levels if they had already tasted it before.
After one of your digimon reverts back to an egg you can "reclaim" their digivolutions at a fraction of the cost - you must also reclaim rookie level. This is the only time you have to exchange Credits to obtain rookie, and it's relatively cheap too. When a digimon's data is destroyed it is sent back to the tamer's home server and that is where it compiles back into an egg. This will happen even if a digimon is destroyed in the real world, their data will simply go back to the digital world and recompile at the tamer's home server once again.
When destroying a wild digimon your digimon absorbs all of the power of their previous form as they revert back to an egg. They don't revert back to an egg right in front of your eyes though, but even wild digimon go through the endless cycle. So to put it simply there is no absolute "murder" or deletion amongst data in the environment established by the CrossWire Server. Tamer Life PointsWhile in the digital world, a tamer cannot actually "die". When transported to the digital world they are "digitized" and their bodies are scanned and turned into packets of data. Now when their body is destroyed, just like a digimon, they enter an infinite cycle of rebirth. CrossWire has created a device known as the Digital-U Station. This device has two functions. One, of the functions is creating a copy of the tamer's data and reconstructing it when they are destroyed. In a way, it was a respawn for "death". Every tamer has a personal Digital-U Station in their Home Server, so upon "death" they will find themselves waking up in their home server. The same cannot be said for a Tamer that dies in the real world of course because well...that's a real death. A tamer does have life points, which is just a number of lives they have which will get deducted every time they "die". Life points are recorded on everyone's mini-profile and appear with the post count and credits. Every tamer starts out with three life points. You can purchase more with credits or even earn them through events and milestones. When a Tamer "dies" there is no penalty other than having one life [oint deducted. However, when a tamer dies without any Life Points left then they have consequences. Any credits they have saved up are set back to zero and all digimon are reverted back to egg form if they had not been already. D-Arc DigiviceAll tamers receive a D-Arc digivice ( as seen in Digimon Tamers) when registering on CrossWire Server. While the color scheme of the digivice can be customized to the tamer's liking it's features and functionality must be the same. The D-Arc does have a card scanner on its right side which will allow a tamer to swipe digi-modify cards in order to support their digimon in a battle. All digi-modify cards must be purchased from the CrossWire Digi-Mart for the cards sold there are specifically made with a magnetized strip that will be read when a card is slid. Any cards that the tamer may have had before hand, such as for the card game or trading cards, will not work since they are just pieces of cardboard.
The digivice also has a built in Digi-Analyzer which will read a digimon's species name (e.g Agumon), their attribute (e.g Vaccine), and their level (e.g Rookie). Of course, the digivice is also a device that allows the tamer to help their digimon digivolve. Another features it carries is the ability to pull up a screen that will allow you to see through the eyes of one of your digimon. This can help a tamer keep track of a fight or scout even at a distance. The digivice can also create a beam of light which can connect a tamer to their digimon. This beam works as a sort of leash, allowing a tamer to constrict and strain an unruly partner digimon.
The digivice shares a natural connection between the Tamer and their digimon, which also unlocks one more built in feature - a digital shield or Digi-Shield for short. It's powered specifically by the tamer's digimon and protects the tamer from any attack or harm is targeted by a hostile digimon. This of course will drain their digimon's stamina, but naturally a digimon would want to go out of their way to protect their tamer anyhow. The shield disperses once all digimon have been effectively defeated and drained of energy. In this method it makes it rather impossible to actually attack the tamer head on until the digimon are dealt with.
Beyond those built-in features, the digivice also acts as a key. It unlocks and activates the stationary portals placed in various areas across the digital world. The portals allow tamers and their digimon to teleport freely from the floating cities established by CrossWire and to the digital world below. The digivice is also the key to a tamer's home server and it keeps track of the number of life points a tamer has left. Time DifferenceThe digital world runs on a cycle that is 60 times faster than the human world. When a minute passes in the real world an hour passes in the digital world. When an hour passes in the real world two and a half days pass in the digital world, and so on and so forth Because of this, a tamer in the digital world only has to eat about once a week. This is because the digital world does not put much of a physical strain on the human body, it's more of a mental strain. Due to the mental strain a tamer may still have to rest/sleep once a day in order to recover from the mental exhaustion despite only having to eat about once a week in the digital world. A digimon's body runs on a totally different cycle and thus they must eat and sleep every day in the digital world in order to keep their energy up. By this logic, a digimon in the human world may require more food to sustain their energy and stamina while still only needing to sleep once a day.

Spirit EvolutionSpirit evolution is pretty much non-existent here on CrossWire. There is just no place for it really. We want tamers to grow and develop bonds with their digimon rather than just obtain some spirit and turn into a digimon themselves. The whole purpose of the site is to establish a partnership and connection. So while Spirit Evolution is off the table that does not mean the digimon are. The "spirit" digimon and their lines can be accessed and obtained as a part of your digimon's evolution line. So your digimon could digivolve into Agunimon/Lobomon/etc and follow those lines if applicable and acceptable. So basically they are treated like every other digimon that can be reached through digivolving. Like everything else we ask that you just be logical about it. Armor DigivolutionStuff n stuff about armor digi-eggs and what not. BiomergeWhen digimon first started to appear in the real world it was soon discovered that not all the same rules applied as they did in the Digital world. Tamers found themselves useless as digi-modify cards along with all other functions of the digivice no longer worked. Their digimon could not even access their digivoluions. Permanent digivolutions did not matter either since their digimon were forced to the rookie level upon entering the human world, to top it all off it seemed only one of the Tamer's three digimon partners were able to traverse with them to the Human world. Where all else failed however, there was biomerging. The digivice acts as a catalyst in which both Tamer and digimon fuse together in order to digivolve into higher levels and fight the threats that leak from the digital world.
The biomerge accesses a whole new digivolution line for the digimon. So for example let's take Guilmon. Let's say Guilmon is one of a tamer's three digimon. In the digital world the Guilmon has a digivolution line of Growlmon, WarGrowlmon and Megidramon. In the human world that line would no longer be available - instead there would be a whole new line achieved through biomerge with the Tamer. So the Biomerge line may be something like: GeoGreymon, RizeGreymon and Gallantmon. So the one Digimon that can travel to the human world, with their tamer, would have two lines - a normal one they access in the digital world and a biomerge line they tap into by fusing with their tamer in the real world. Stat Changing TechniquesFirst of all, you cannot stack similar stat modifying digi-modify cards on top of stat modifying techniques. You can only use one or the other at a single time. Second of all, all stat changing techniques will be roughly around 2 to 3 times the digimon's current capabilities, much like that of the digi-modify cards. This is to avoid having one person stating their stat boosting technique is "off the charts" or whatever. To put it quite simply, all stat boosting techs and digi-modify cards are pretty much on the same level when it comes to the stat multiplier. So if your digimon uses a speed boost, then of course it would be hard for a digimon to keep up with just their regular speed. However, if the opposing digimon uses a speed boosting technique of their own or a speed boosting digi-modify card is applied, then it evens out the field of that particular stat boost.
Naturally there are some digimon in which you would expect to have a bit more speed over another - such as Renamon being faster than Armadillomon. This applies to all stats, speed was just used as an example. Stats also vary greatly from level to level, at a base though a champion would typically have higher stats than a rookie in almost every field unless the rookie specialized in a certain stat where the champion is lacking. So overall we ask you just to try to be logical while taking such things into consideration. Don't be ridiculous or difficult. Healing TechniquesNo one can have straight up healing techniques, as in they cannot just snap their fingers and heal without any kind of cost. In order to restore data, data must be acquired from elsewhere such as chipped off from an opponent or one's own self (though that would only be good for healing others). Healing techniques will mostly only be allowed through sacrifice and absorption, and by absorption we mean through a technique that damages the opponent and siphons off some of their data for the attacker to use to heal. We want to avoid digimon that just stand around and heal either themselves or others with little to no cost so the data for healing must come from somewhere. Digimon that siphon the data off themselves and apply it to others can create more effective healing moves since it's at a cost to their own health and energy. Damaging and absorbing health through attacks will only be able to heal a percentage and overall won't be as effective as techniques used to heal others. Shield TechniquesCreating a shield or defensive techniques is fine, but we want to prevent them from being too over powered by making a digimon pretty much 'untouchable'. Therefore it should be noted that a defensive move or shield can only effectively block or counter techniques it was created to handle. So the stronger or the larger quantity of techniques the shield blocks, the more energy a digimon must pour into it in order to keep it up and stable. This makes it fair and equal as the amount of energy spent on the attacks is the same spent on blocking/countering them. At the same time a shield or defensive move can be completely overwhelmed by an attack that has a much higher energy output, such as by that of a digimon at a higher level in evolution. So basically shields can be used to counter and block out attacks in a time of need, but at an equal cost. That way it's just as draining to use a technique to defend/counter damage as it is to go on the offensive. This way no one digimon can just sit safely behind a shield and wait for an opponent to drain themselves without being drained of energy themselves.

General Battle + PvPWhen participating in a battle between another tamer(s) rules can be set before the match, out of character in notes or within the actual post. It's up for those involved to decide the details. We don't mind a planned ambush (for example) if everyone involved agrees to it and we wish to give everyone as much possible freedom we can in terms of battling and training. Abuse of this system will end in punishment either by removal of credits or staff intervention of Digimon reverting to eggs/baby-forms. Basically don't abuse the freedom of being able do what you wish with who you wish, use logic and common sense and be kind and courtesy to everyone.
PvP battles against tamers can only be done within the digital world and within the coliseum rooms at this time. The cities/districts constructed to hold tamers of their respective teams are a battle free area; this is to prevent unnecessary targeting of new tamers coming in as well as destruction of the buildings and shops.
Unlike most creature based games/shows, digimon don't primarily go by a weakness and advantage system due to their ever changing type and family lines. A digimon's attribute plays little to no real role in battle though for reference they have a Rock, Paper, Scissors arrangement. Virus takes advantage over Data, Data over Vaccine, and Vaccine over Virus. Despite the arrangement these advantages are easily pushed aside by level, experience and their unique abilities. Because of this damage percentage both given and taken must be measured by a members common sense and judgement using resources such as the battle they are participating in (i.e. how their opponent is doing what, etc.), their Digimon and the opponents levels (i.e. rookie, champion, ultimate, etc.) as well as various other inconsistent variables pertaining to the actual character itself. Long story short, there is no chart to go on and members must calculate what's what themselves.
With that said there is no god-modding, power-playing, or basically making your Digimon the strongest thing to ever walk the face of the Digital World or even borderline to that title. Any reports of said actions will result in punishment of removal of credits and/or digimon being reverted to an egg form (aka automatically losing a fight as a result to any sort of role play cheating/exploits). OP Digimon and those whom wish to exploit...On CrossWire Server for role playing purposes all digimon are said to be of equal power if at the same level. Meaning that each rookie is as strong as the next rookie and each champion is considered as strong as another champion. The only thing that sets them apart is of course their special abilities, techniques and the way they are role played. Of course there is the exception where two mega level digimon Jogress/DNA into a higher level of mega - in which case they are of course much stronger than a normal mega. Also for the sake of comparing digimon levels in role play for reference on this site each level is roughly five times stronger than the previous. So a champion is about as strong as five rookies - an ultimate is about as strong as five champions and so on and so forth.
Do not read too much into the information given about digimon on the resource sites. Dzens of digimon are said to be unstoppable and are also said to be the most powerful of them all...well that alone makes it untrue. How can more than one of them be considered the strongest and how can they be unstoppable when we always see them get defeated in the manga, anime or game? If you try to pull such nonsense then we will decline you access to a digimon with an "OP" or embellished/exaggerated description and will require you to go for something a bit more "ordinary" that you can handle. The point is be realistic and logical. Most descriptions are based off the original digimon or some plot based nonsense, take Lucemon for example - we allow you to obtain Lucemon as a rookie here but he is just another silly, young rookie and nothing else. He is not some thousand year old godly digimon that has surpassed Seraphimon. That's how Lucemon was portrayed in the anime, but that was THAT Lucemon. The Lucemon here are your average run-of-the-mill rookies. Digi-Modify CardsAll digi-modify cards can be purchased within the Digi-Mrt in the item shop. These cards have a metallic strip on its side that, when slid through a tamer's D-Arc digivice, will activate its specific gameplay effect on adigimon of that Tamers party or designated opponent. Every card is separated into different categories and represented by colors shown on its base. All digi-modify cards can be used an infinite amount of times once bought, meaning you don't need to buy multiples of the same card. They can't be traded or given away to other tamers. Within every thread tamers are allowed up to 6 digi-modify scans. These scans may be used however a tamer wants as long as it follows the cards rules listed below: Green Colored Cards: Known as plug-in cards. They help boost a digimon's stats and energy. Battle Rules: Tamers cannot double up similar card effects (cards the boost the same stat) on a single digimon, however they may use the same green card a max. of 2 times on the same digimon consecutively once the first swipe's duration is complete. Gold Colored Cards: Known as item cards. Despite the name they won't necessarily spawn physical items; they are known for boosting a digimon's strength or giving them new abilities. Battle Rules: Tamers cannot use the same gold card effect on the same digimon more than once per battle, though the card may be applied once to each and every of the tamer's digimon in a thread. Blue Colored Cards: Known as digimon cards. These depict a certain digimon and when activated will give a tamer's digimon the listed attack technique or item to use in battle. Battle Rules: Tamers can use a maximum of 1 blue card for each of their digimon in a thread and cannot use the same blue card data more than once in the same thread. When using a blue card a digimon does not inherit the level strength of the digimon portrayed but only the technique. The attack power varies by the level of the digimon it's applied to. If the digimon portrayed is a higher level the power is equal to the next level of the digimon it's applied to (e.g. a rookie given a blue card of mega status will have the power of a champion for that cards duration when using the attack); if the digimon portrayed is a lower lever the power of the digimon it's applied to doesn't change (e.g. a ultimate given a blue card of champion status will have it's same power behind the attack i.e. ultimate level).
